I know you didn’t just start your business for fun, you wanted it to be profitable too, right? Making money is a fundamental part of running your business, but it’s the number one problem for so many business owners. So today, I’ve got 7 sales strategies to help you easily make money so you can start doubling your income every single year!

You know there’s huge potential in what you’re trying to sell, but people just aren’t hitting that buy button. What’s up with that? It can be super frustrating to get the wheels turning in your business, and that’s why I’m breaking down these 7 sales strategies for you! These are must-haves if you want to make money in your business.
1.You need to have an audience to sell to
This is not as straightforward as it might seem. Some people will tell you to add up all the followers you have across all of the platforms to figure out how big your audience is, but there’s going to be so much duplication there. If people follow you on one platform, chances are they follow you on multiple!
Your follower count can be super deceiving. You need to go deeper than looking at the total number. You want to figure out the size of your active audience. For example, if I have 10,000 podcast downloads in 1 month, and I had 8 episodes, then on average I have 1,250 listeners (I’m assuming here that every person is listening to every episode).
This is the number that matters when you’re looking at the size of your audience. If you don’t have an active audience to sell to, you’re not going to make sales. And if you’re not making sales, you’re definitely not going to be doubling your income easily.
2.Consistent content is the key to doubling your income
Sometimes it can feel like you’re pouring a lot of effort into free content and you might be wondering if it’s worth your time. But your content is the key to building trust with your audience, and it’s that trust that leads to sales. You have to consistently show up for at least 6 months to build the traction and trust you need to see your sales take off. Sales strategies depend on consistency! You can show up wherever you want, but you have to stick to it before you see results.
3. You need to have clear messaging
Even if you think your messaging is super clear, it’s probably still not clear. I want you to practice this! Get a sheet of paper and write down two sentences:
What do you do?
What do you sell?
If those two things are not clear to everyone who listens to your podcast, looks at your socials, or visits your website, then your messaging has failed. Now, maybe it’s not clear because you don’t talk about it enough. So make sure you are clear on what you do and what you sell, and that you talk about it all the time.
4. Your sales strategies require authentic pitching with a clear promise
Maybe you do have clear messaging and you talk about it all the time. Are you actually pitching your offers to people? You can’t make sales if you don’t actually invite people to buy the things you offer.
You also need to share a clear promise of what the offer is going to do for people. You need to help them connect the dots and understand if your offer is something they need right now. So in your pitch, tell people what the offer is and why it’s going to help them! Tell them where they can buy and leave the door open for them to walk through if they choose to.
5. Build in repetition and follow up to your list of sales strategies
We are super busy and distracted these days! And a lot of the time, people simply forget to buy your stuff. Especially if your active audience is still small, you need to follow up with every single person that’s interested in your offer.
You don’t need to make a big deal out of the follow-up, you can keep it casual! Send them a quick message and ask if they’re still interested in buying the thing. Chances are they just forgot and then they’ll go sign up!
6. People aren’t going to buy without social proof
When you buy something, don’t you want to know that it works? I know I do! It’s so common for people to research reviews for products, and the same is true for your offers. People want proof that it works.
The first step is to get yourself to the destination that you want to help people get to. Look at your own journey and make sure you’ve actually done the thing you’re trying to sell to people.
The second step is to help a couple of people through that journey. Once you can take a few people through that process, it gives you the results and proof you need to explode your offer.
7. Create a pricing roadmap so doubling your income becomes easy
It’s tempting to jump into a brand new business and start charging the amounts you were making in your day job. But you can’t just begin by charging $300 an hour for coaching. When you don’t have all these other 6 pieces in place, people aren’t going to trust you yet.
You need to create a no-brainer price so it becomes an easy yes for your audience. Once you’ve built trust and you’ve made sales at that price, you can raise the price of the offer and your profit will quickly grow.
