We are 10 days away from Christmas Eve. Then Christmas. Then the New Year.
I want to give you four things to focus on over the next two weeks. While they tend to be slower, there is more project time than normal: fewer meetings and no urgent business. But I don’t want to take a 100% break because this is a beautiful time to do some of that streamlining and operational things that need to get done, while still making space for this coming holiday season.
The Coming Holiday Break: Here are 4 Things to Focus On
One of the worst things is having time in your business and having no idea what you’re supposed to be doing. We have to be laser-focused so we can grow. We don’t want to waste this time, we should know exactly where our efforts should be going to either expand our reach, create more visibility, or make more money. All, of course, with God at the center.
I am going to give you four things to focus on in the coming holiday season. But, Friends, take this with a grain of salt; make it work for you and your life. If you’re taking a Sabbath or sabbatical for the next two weeks, that’s okay, You do that. This will obviously look different for everyone. This is what my plan is. I have so much more time over the next two weeks because I don’t take any meetings.
1. The first things to focus on are your brand updates or business refresh.

Take a look at your entire brand and figure out what needs a facelift.
I’m going to batch as much as possible so I can be ahead as much as possible.
I always stay a week ahead so my team has some breathing room, but my goal is to be a month ahead in podcast content.
When you batch ahead, you have more ability to focus on other projects, such as growth or guesting on other shows.
Check out Episode 356 where I teach how to power batch effectively.
3. The third thing to focus on is planning.
It’s super important that you have planned out 2023.
What are the things to focus on next year?
What does 2023 look like from a projection perspective?
What did your downloads look like last year?
What is your projected growth for 2023? Projected revenue?
When are you doing your launches? Flash sales? Projects?
What investments are you making to grow your business?
Are you going to be hiring someone this year? Taking a mastermind?
Those of you in Podcast to Profit – I literally walk you through all of this and give you my workflows from Asana.
4. The fourth and final thing you should be focused on in the coming holiday is rest.
Focus on ceasing and celebrating, which is the definition of Sabbath to me.
Do some really fun family activities – play more games, veg out on the couch watching family movies.
Listen to Episode 546 – How to Enter and Experience God’s Rest as a Busy Working Mama.
Take some time during this coming holiday season with these things to focus on: refreshing your business, batch recording, planning your year, and resting. Your 2023 will be all the better for it!
