So today we are going to dig into how to develop the Fruit of the Spirit in your business.
How to Develop the Fruit of the Spirit in Your Business
We are called through Scripture to act in accordance with the fruits of the Spirit. God calls us in Galatians 5:22-23 to not gratify the desires of the flesh. However, Satan is always looking for opportunities to bait us so we will lean into our human tendencies of sin. Today, I want to show you how to develop the Fruit of the Spirit in your business so you can embody them in the way you live and show up in your business. God doesn’t say it will be easy but he directs us to do it, and when he directs us to do something, we are to do it.
Be intentional with the fruit of the spirit
You first need to invite the Lord through prayer to help you learn how to develop the Fruit of the Spirit in your business and work. God allows us to be tempted but He promises us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that he will not let us be tempted beyond our ability and will provide a way of escape. Use the fruit of the Spirit as your escape. Let’s dive into each of these fruits and how we can develop them in ourselves and our businesses.
How to develop the Fruit of the Spirit for your business
Love – When you want to be frustrated with someone you have to remember that God chose to love and forgive you, so you can too.
Joy -Even when your business is not working the way you want it to, you can choose joy anyway. Look for the ways God has blessed you through hard experiences.
Peace –Let go of the worry. Wait on the Lord in every moment of frustration in your business, even when you can’t see that it is working. Sit and allow God’s peace to wash over you. His peace is available in every single moment.
Kindness – Things that you say can be stones to someone else’s heart. Ask yourself in those moments when someone left a bad review: “Is this a kind thing to say right now?” “Is there a better way to do this?”
Faithfulness – You need to be in the Word so you are speaking out Biblical truth with conviction in your business.
Gentleness – How do we convey what we want to say in a gentle way? Words are so important. You are a reflection of the actions you take. Your business will attract what you are.
Self-Control – This correlates with gentleness. One of the easiest baits of Satan is to get you to spiral out of control. Check your anger, impatience, and the tone of your voice.
