(00:00):

You know what they need, you know, what they want and your content will actually convert. Go to https://getclarity.gr8.com/.You’re definitely going to need a piece of paper for this one.
(02:39):
We are going to be digging into a content refresh, right? I’m going to have you write down some questions and then you’re going to go to town on busting out this brainstorm or brain dump as my friend Chelsi calls it. You can get some really amazing new, exciting ideas, your blog, your podcast, your social media posts, whatever. Okay. All right. Number one. Number one.
(03:07):
What is the top problem that your avatar is experiencing right now? Write it down. Number one. Problem is blank. Okay. Visual example, let’s say that you are a network marketer. You’re trying to sell some skincare. You’re writing down the number one problem my person is facing right now is there are too many options online and they want a healthy, organic option. Or let’s say you’re a photographer. And your number one problem is I’m not booked out.
(03:39):
Okay. Or let’s say that you are an author. You’re a writer. You want to write a book and you’re thinking about, I guess, that’s your number one problem. Maybe your avatar is trying to write a book. What’s their number one problem. They’re experiencing a writer’s block. They don’t know where to get started. Okay. You have to start with the core problem. Now, what I want you to do is underneath that core problem,
(04:03):
I want you to write down 10 easy solutions to help them navigate that problem. Okay. So if we’re looking at our second example about the photographer, your number one problem is I can’t get booked out. I don’t have enough clients, great 10 things that I can do right now to help that photographer solve her problem. Number one, you can create a referral program. Number two, you can do mini sessions for a weekend.
(04:37):
Then number three, you can do a promo or a flash sale, right? Number four, you can spruce up your website and do a brand new marketing plan. Number five, you can go collaborate with other photographers to come up with something super cool, like, a co photography offer. Okay. You can start a YouTube channel to expand your reach outside of your current demographic. You could offer services that aren’t in your specific realm.
(05:07):
Like if you’re a wedding photographer, well, can you do bridal party shoots the day before? Like how can you expand? You’re just coming up with ideas that are solution based. Each one of those solutions that you just wrote down is a potential episode. Okay. Or is a potential next up. Let’s go to the next thing. Let’s go to the top three excuses that your person is given. K. And if you’re like, I don’t have anybody, I don’t have a person.
(05:42):
Well, what were you saying? What were your excuses? What was your pain point when you sat where your avatar sits? Okay. And if you’re like, what is an avatar? Forget this episode right now and go to https://getclarity.gr8.com/. Cause you’re going to have to get clarity on that before you can do this stuff. All right. The top three excuses. So, well, let’s talk about it. Let’s go back to our photographer example. Well, the market’s too saturated.
(06:13):
I don’t have time to take wedding shot shoots, and that’s what everybody wants. Let’s see what else. I don’t have the best equipment and you could keep going, like keep going. Don’t stop at three. What else could this photographer be saying? I’m too busy to really do marketing or I don’t understand how to price my services and upsell like on and on and on every one of those excuses is a different podcast, episode, eight different content, a different posts, a different YouTube video.
(06:50):
Right? So for example, the one of I’m too busy. This is a super simple, easy one where you could say something like three hacks to find more time to market your photography business. Well, now you have a super simple, easy topic that solves their excuse. Okay. You can also just call people out the number one, excuse, keeping you from scaling your photography business. Well, the excuse of I don’t have time, right?
(07:18):
That’s that second bucket there. All right. Let’s move on to the third bucket. I want you to write down a list of what your person desperately wants, the dreams, the visions, and the goals in their heart. Write those down. So for looking at our photography example, our photographer wants a six figure business. They want the best photography equipment, dream clients. They want a team and someone else to edit the photos, right?
(07:52):
They want to build a business around their kids. Most likely they don’t want to work 24 seven. They want to feel confident in their sales pitch, like on and on. Not maybe they want to get featured. Maybe they want to land a destination wedding. So as you’re writing down their dreams, you can create an episode or content all around each one of those dreams.
(08:16):
For example, if I’m to give you some titles or some topics, it could be something as easy, like landing a destination wedding on your dream board, how to make it a reality, right. Or how I went from five to six figures in my photography business in 24 months or less or something like that. Right. So you’ve got to think about how to title things in such a way that brings all the babies to the yard. You know what I’m saying?
(08:51):
Okay. So now we’ve talked about their biggest pain points. We’ve talked about their big, biggest excuses, and we’ve talked about your avatar’s greatest dreams and desires. Okay? The fourth thing that I want you to brainstorm over is the things that matter most two you’re there, you’re the number one priorities in your person’s life.
(09:17):
So now we might be looking a little bit deeper at the person at who they are at the core, at the root versus what they do. All right. So for example, for me and all of you guys listening right now, yes, you run businesses or you want to start a business. You’re an entrepreneur. Yes. Most of you are mamas or you’re married. But you at the root of who you are, you are led by faith. You know, you are partnered with God. You want to build this God’s way.
(09:45):
You want to do it with priorities. You want to do it with intention. So for me, I’m going to write down that man, your faith is super important to you. Being partnered with God is important to you. Having priorities and boundaries and time having time is important to you. So I can create content all around those other like bonus buckets that help you achieve that. For example, I could have something super easy.
(10:13):
I’m going to come up with, come some new content. Apparently right now, like three secrets to scaling a passive business online, right? Or the number one way I partner with God and my business on a daily basis. Yes. Or how to get there. Your kids excited about mommy’s entrepreneurship dream. Like those are additional bonus episodes that I could record for you guys that have to do with the core or the root of who you are.
(10:44):
So go ahead and write down in that fourth bucket, all of your person’s priorities, their values, their morals, who they are, maybe their demographics, maybe talking about how they can prioritize better balance, better migrate those things. So if we look at our photographer, for example, well maybe our photographer is a busy mom and she wants to learn how to outsource some things.
(11:11):
You know how to hire a photo editor so you can stop editing your own photos. The number one app to create a standard. And I guys, I’m not a photographer, so love me, but I’m a standard filter, et cetera, et cetera. Okay. All right. So the only other bucket that I want you to work on right now, cause you already have probably at least 20 new episode ideas. So let’s go one deeper. Okay. And I want you to think about what your person is most afraid of.
(11:46):
Okay. So what are the fears that are keeping your avatar stuck? So when we look at this photographer, we might, we might journal through on that, on that fifth bucket, things like I’m afraid I’m going to fail. I’m afraid that I’m not as good as the photographer down the street. I’m scared that my work isn’t professional enough and I don’t know how to do a wedding. You know, I’m afraid that I can’t scale because my kids are here at home and I’m going to leave them behind.
(12:15):
I’m afraid of success. What are they actually afraid of? Let’s go ahead and bring those fears into the light on your podcast, your content, your stuff, because until you can help them face their fear, they’re going to stay stuck. They’re never going to hire you. If they’re sitting in their fears, they’re never going to take a leap of faith and buy your course or work with you or buy your products.
(12:40):
If they’re sitting over in there. I don’t think I can. I don’t know if I should, can I afford it? Okay. You’re basically just going to knock out all of their fears and limiting beliefs about who they are. For example, let me give you an example. Let’s air photographer is she’s afraid of, of success because she’s afraid when she builds the big photography business, she’s not going to be available to support her family any more.
(13:11):
And it makes her, it gives her a gut punch. You know, it, it wrecks her cause she wants her family to be number one. Well, you could do an episode on how to scale your photography business without leaving your kids behind, right? How to grow a thriving online business without sacrificing family time or three ways to get started with outsourcing when you have no funds to invest, stuff like that.
(13:42):
You’re looking at those pain points and solutions inside of your content. That’s it? That’s all I got. I hope that that blesses you guys, some tips are you can totally do that on a piece of paper and gangster it out. Or you can use something like a sauna or MindMeister to pop these into a tool that actually, or Trello that actually allows you to move your episodes around or in an Excel file.
(14:09):
What I like to do is in a sauna, I’ve got the buckets, I’ve got all the content ideas. I can move them around based on what I’m feeling like talking about. Then I can copy that title over into my Excel spreadsheet. The big Excel spreadsheet that all of you know and love if you’re in Podcast Pro University, I’m that guy. And it allows me to keep my content fresh.
(14:33):
Going through this exercise constantly allows me to have new and fresh vision over you. Because every couple of months, I get to know you guys deeper and more intimately. And that’s how I create better and better and more, um, fine tuned content to solve all of your problems. Did you guys love this episode? Let me know. Come share it in Instagram. I’ll share your share and we can all be share. Happy.
(14:59):
Tell me what else you want to know. Tell me what other problems you are facing. Will create episodes specifically to solve your problems. You just have to tell me what they are. Where are you stuck? What are you having trouble on and want to have? What are your dreams and fears? Is there something happening for you at home? As you try to build these businesses, what are the pain points?
(15:20):
Come and share them with me. I would love to hear you can post them in our Facebook group and tag me. You can Instagram them to me. I don’t care. I just want to hear okay. If you have not gotten absolute clarity on what you do or who you serve, don’t waste another second. Go watch my free workshop. Okay? Lola, https://getclarity.gr8.com/. Love you. God bless you.
(15:45):
