Learn To Build Empowerment in Business as a Woman With ADHD
If you are a woman with ADHD, you may love so many things that it is hard to pick just one thing. However, when you get excited about something, you are all in. You can be all-in on four different things, but can you do four things well? Your brain will hyper-focus on things and jump right in and within 30 days you can become an expert on something that you did not know a few months ago. What an advantage this can be in business!
What is ADHD?
It stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
3-5% of people have been diagnosed but now that parents are learning about the symptoms from their kids being diagnosed, they are noticing that it all sounds familiar for them as well.
There is a 50-70% chance that if you have it, your kids will have it.
When most people think of ADHD, they think about a five-year-old kid that is bouncing off the walls, but it looks different for everyone. Because we can’t see how other people’s brains function, we don’t realize that our brain is doing something very different than everyone else’s.
What does it look like to be a woman with ADHD?
It affects our executive function.
The executive functioning is the conductor of your brain that is telling everything in your brain what to do.
Organizing is not one of your strong suits.
You will see it in your restlessness.
Most people notice it as fidgeting or someone jiggling their leg. But it is also restlessness in wanting something new, a new challenge.
The last 10% of finishing a project is a killer.
Some have learned the skill to be finishers, but it is like pulling teeth because your heart is already drawn to and excited about the next new project.
