(00:00): Hey friend. I can’t wait to get into this with you. Y’all so whenever you come join my Facebook group, we ask these questions, right? And one of the questions is what is the number one thing that you’re struggling with? And as my team and I were digging through the answers that you guys had submitted, one kept coming up over and over and over again, and it was how to get more clients.
(00:32): And I’m like, oh my goodness. I have literally never, ever, ever, I don’t think ever done a how to get clients podcast episode. What the what? So sorry. I love you. Thank you. I’m here for this. So today we’re going to be going through three really simple, easy ways to get more clients. This is for you if you are an entrepreneur, a freelancer, a virtual assistant, a coach, a mentor, you are a network marketer, this is for anybody who has clients and wants more of them. Ready?
(02:14): Hey Stef! This is Jess Brown. I just had to hop on here and say thank you. You took my flicker of an idea or a thought, it was like a passing thought and helped me turn it into not only reality, but something that surpassed what I knew was possible and what I had dreamed of.
(02:31): I have always loved the idea of serving more women, of helping more people and broadening my reach. But wasn’t quite sure how to do it, especially because I’m not a huge fan of social media. I struggle with that. I don’t like the idea of being attached to my phone. So I thought there’s no way this is possible. Your business model is something that it’s been incredible and it has been life-changing for me. I took your Podcast Pro University course, and you walked me all the details I needed to be an actual professional podcaster.
(03:04): I know how to work with sponsors. Now I know how to edit. I know how to upload. I know how to do the show notes, all of these things I honestly didn’t even know existed now I am doing and doing well, all because you’ve given me those tools. I’m so grateful for you and all that you have taught me. You keep me focused on my mission.
(03:20): You kindly redirect me when I get off course, you keep me connected to my Lola so that I’m always looking to serve her more bigger, better and it’s something that I am so deeply grateful for it. Because you have a mic in your hand and you’re speaking life into people and women like me, I get the opportunity to do the same. Your reach goes far beyond you can ever imagine. I’m so grateful for you and the work you do for women like me and all over the world. Love you, Stef Gass!
(03:48): First of all, Jess Brown, I love you to pieces. You, guys, if you are hanging out with my dear friend and empowered eating coach, Jess, over on her podcast, Fuel Her Awesome, you’re missing out. Cause she is like the most epic human being that I know. I am so blessed to be her friend and I can’t believe that she left me this sweet testimony. I’m just gonna squeeze her. She’s so sweet.
(04:16): Jess, I’m so proud of you and you guys, if you are just like Jessica, and you have this dream, this inkling, this feeling in your heart, that you’re called to help more people than you are, and you don’t want to do it using social media and you don’t want to do it using all the methods of all the coaches who don’t have any space in their calendars, but you want to do it this way.
(04:38): You want to do it partnered with God, from behind a mic, in your PJ’s girl. Okay? I’m not lying about that. I am literally in my PJ’s again. Sorry. I know, but you can do it too. You can. This business model is for you. Okay, Jessica and I began by getting clarity on her calling. We took what she did in the world. And we talked about how she could do it on a worldwide scale using podcasting.
(05:05): Then we set out to create her course, The Food Freedom Foundations course, which we’ve done, which he makes thousands of dollars every single month from. Not to mention, she gets sponsorships left and right on her pod. Like this girl is killing it. And she has been doing this I believe for less than a year now.
(05:23): So what I’m telling you is that if you want a scalable business model, that’s going to free up your time, where you can actually completely delete the apps you don’t ever have to do another reel again, you don’t ever have to figure out another app again, this is for you. Go to Stefaniegass.com/courses. Start with step one. Let’s go girl. It’s time for you to uncap your own growth potential.
(05:49): And if Jess can do it and if I can do it, and if the thousands of other Stef Gass’ students can do it so can you. Let’s get you some clients, sister-friend.
(06:00): Number one, the number one thing that you can do to get more clients, you know what I’m going to say? You already know what I’m going to say. Should I just skip this and go to number two? Are you going to listen to me yet? I love you though. Is podcasting. You need to have long form content that is scalable.
(06:20): So let’s say that you’re a freelancer. I’m just gonna do an example. You could start a podcast about, let’s say that you’re a freelancer for podcasters. You could start a podcast all about quick podcast hacks, and then you get podcasters to listen. And then you pitch your freelancing services on the pod.
(06:39): Let’s say that you need more clients in your network marketing business, you sell makeup and you want customers. You could do a quick tip makeup tutorial for moms podcast, or you can also focus on the who your person is like maybe they’re a super busy working mama. So you could have like a productivity hacks for busy working moms. And then you sell your makeup as a commercial because you know, she’s a busy working mom and she wants to do super quick, easy, affordable, organic makeup, right?
(07:10): Let’s say that you need more clients in your, oh my gosh. I don’t know, let me think, in your declutter business. You need more clients. Well, you need to have a declutter podcast because you’re going to show them how to declutter. They’re going to love you, they’re going to trust in you and then they’re going to hire you. Podcasting is the easiest way to have an endless funnel of leads coming in the door.
(07:33): The podcast is what drives the growth. You don’t have to use social. You don’t have to do anything but podcasts because I teach you how to optimize your podcast, so it works for you. When you take Podcasts Pro University, I teach you how to set it up so that it converts super well from the very beginning. So the number one way you get more clients in your business is long form content. My favorite is podcasting.
(07:55): You could also do YouTube and you could also do blogging, but they’re super slow just going to call it what it is. And you bless people with your knowledge and now focus on making sure that your podcast is hyper-focused on your avatar. Who do you want to attract? Who is your client? Serve them with your content, pitch your services and get ready. You better brace up girl. Cause then flood gates … about to burst.
(08:21): Number two, the second thing you would do to get more clients is to create a referral program with your current clients. So you have to remember that having one client is a much lower cost to you as a company than an acquisition cost of a new person. So how can you utilize your existing customer base? Can you upsell them? Can you sell them more things? Can you get them to work with you at a higher capacity? Can you get them to take on more hours with you? And if yes, amazing.
(08:58): And then number two, how do you get them to refer people? Because your ideal client, your favorite client, they know someone else that’s just like them, right? Cause people attract similar people. So ask your client base, Hey, you know, if you send me three referrals, you get blank for free. Maybe they get something for free from you, a free coaching call if you refer three coaching calls, like how can you set up a referral program to find out who your clients know that would be an ideal fit for you.
(09:32): That’s super easy. And you guys just brainstorm on that and then reach out to your very best clients and ask them if they are interested. It’s not a pressure thing. It’s super chill. And I can’t imagine that any of your favorite clients, wouldn’t be willing to tell people about you because I’m sure that you are amazing and they think you’re amazing. You’re just not asking. One of my biggest secrets that’s not a secret to all of my breakthroughs have been asking. I’ve asked for the big interviews, I’ve asked for the stages or what the things that I come and teach on, you know, I’ve asked for the opportunities like, just ask.
(10:09): It’s not, you know, what’s the worst that can happen? They’re like, oh, I don’t know anybody. Okay, great. So you want to work together more often or what? So number two was really explore your current customer based for upsell or upgrade opportunities and then a referral program with your existing clientele.
(10:32): Number three, my third favorite way to get more clients is Pinterest. I love Pinterest. You guys, I drive about 18 to 22,000 Pinterest viewers a month to my website simply by using Pinterest. And my team actually spends less than 30 minutes in there a week. We are not Pinterest experts by any means. We are just paying attention to what people want and I’m paying attention to what works.
(11:02): And I drive to what? Long form content, I drive to my podcast through Pinterest. So Pinterest is an amazing way to drive traffic, to get more visibility. Now, you can’t use Pinterest to drive straight back to your service because there’s no way for that cold market person to trust you. So Pinterest really, isn’t going to work for you unless you have long form content. That’s going to help them trust you believe in you get a result and then wonder what you have to offer. So Pinterest is kind of a secondary strategy to number one, which is podcasting.
(11:36): So if you partner those three things together, a podcast and Pinterest, and then really exploring your current customer base for upsell opportunities and a referral program, I have zero doubts that you couldn’t explode, probably double your client base within the next 12 months, I would put that bet down because what podcasting did for my sales and revenue was extraordinary. It’s unbelief. It’s quite frankly, just unbelievable.
(12:10): And it doesn’t take that many downloads to really start seeing conversions because your person is hanging out with you every day. They already feel like they know you. You don’t have to do discovery calls anymore because your podcast is your discovery call. It’s like so legit, guys. So those are my three hacks for you or my three steps for you to get more clients. If you’re ready to start a podcast, you’re going to head to podcastprouniversity.com.
(12:38): If you’re interested in using Pinterest to market your business at a higher capacity, just head to stefaniegass.com/courses. And you’re going to scroll down to my mini courses section and snag the Pinterest masterclass. All right, guys, I love this. I love hearing from you. I love knowing what you want to learn.
(12:58): I would love to hear more of this. What else do you need from me? What do you want? Are you loving the faith episodes? Are you loving the business episodes? Do you want me to do me to do more podcast-specific stuff? What do you want from me? Tell me, girl. I’m here to serve you.
