Whether you’re a coach, freelancer, or an online marketer of some kind, you need to get clients to run your online business. If you’re looking to grow your business organically, today we’re going to go through five simple ways to get more loyal clients for your online business.

Your Online Business Can Benefit From These 5 Simple Ways To Get Clients

Your online business can always benefit from more ways to get clients. You want to protect yourself against any dry spells where you’re not making any money. That’s why I put together these 5 ways to get more clients. Let’s dig into these together!

1. Offer Free Trials or Offer Free Projects to Get Clients

Think about people that you wish you could work for. Write down your dream list of three to five clients you’d like to work with. Offer to help be their podcast manager, graphic designer, or social media strategist, or offer to work with that person and do some coaching with them.

Provide a free trial. Offer to work some hours for them. Handpick the clients that you truly know you’re called to help. Whoever your ideal client is, think about what you could do for free for that person without being asked. Here’s the worst-case scenario. They don’t work with you. They don’t hire you. But you have blessed them big.

Here’s the best-case scenario. They’re blown away by your free stuff. Now you have your foot in the door for an interview, most likely ahead of all the front runners, because they’ve already seen your work, they’ve seen your initiative and they’ve recognized that you went out of your way to do something kind for them.

2. Head Into Facebook Groups and Participate to Grow Your Online Business

Start popping in some Facebook groups and add value. Be mindful of the group’s rules so that you’re not being spammy, but comment back to people and be funny and engaging. At the very bottom of the thread, pop in a link to a freebie or a podcast episode.

Use polls in Facebook groups. Pop in funny memes, or a specific tactical win for someone. Pop in your three best tips of expertise that you know. Just by simply seeing your free stuff, without any type of pitch whatsoever, people are gonna be like,  “Who’s that?”

Do 15 minutes a day in Facebook groups. Set a timer, pop into your favorite three groups, and engage and pour value out. And again, worst-case scenario, you get nothing, but you’ve blessed people.

3. Ask Your Current Clients for Referrals

Referrals from your current clients are an easy way to get clients without it taking a ton of time. Ask them if they know of anyone looking for what you’re offering. Make it fun and make it your own.

Let them know that if they refer two or three clients, you’ll throw in a free session, a free hour, or a free podcast editing session, whatever you do. Throw people a bonus, a commission, or a free call. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box.

4. Follow Up With Old Leads and Prior Clients

Circle back with your prior clients and let them know that any prior client gets 20% off for a specific month.

Urgency sells. What urgency can you offer to get clients? Do you have a discount code? A bonus? A free gift that comes with it? Whatever that thing is that will help them say yes faster, use it. 

Have a flash sale, giveaway, or a bonus, because it always leads to results, which then leads to more referrals at the end of the day.

Follow up more than once. Put old leads and prior clients in an email nurture sequence. Continue to be front of mind because someone’s going to be ready for your services again.

5. Start a Podcast to Scale Your Online Business!

A podcast is how you connect. It’s how you build rapport with people. It’s how you solve an ideal client’s problems for free. Stop spending all these ridiculous numbers of hours on social, scrolling, in DMs, trying to force relationships to convert, and doing endless hours of discovery calls. You can throw all of that out the window and simply show up behind a microphone.

Show up once a week with incredible value aimed at your ideal avatar and talk about your services. If you’re done with the hustle movement, being addicted to your phone, trying to build yet another online business at the expense of your children, the expense of your marriage, the expense of the mess of your home, not making the profit that you thought you would, podcasting is the answer.
