Hey Friend!
In today’s episode, I am sharing 3 biblical business principles that the Lord showed me the last few weeks and I pray these bless you as much as they did me. These principles will keep you yoked with God as you show up to battle in your business and in pursuit of your passion.
I know how hard it can be to trust God’s plan for you when you get attacked, fears and negative thoughts come racing in, and you worry about everything from making money to judgment.
Building a business can be hard and worldly, or it can be free and biblical. I choose option B. What about you?
I pray this blesses you.

(03:16):
The first biblical principle that I’m going to go into is worry. I know as we start businesses and even if we’re scaling businesses at this point, worry is inevitable. How is this gonna work? How is it gonna make money? What does the outcome look like?
(03:30):
How do I know that it’s gonna be successful and worry in your business can be crushing. Worry can lead you to really dark places. It can lead you to anxiety, worry links with other issues in your life.
(03:46):
Worry is really this dark hole that you can find yourself in on a daily basis. And I will be honest with you, just because you have the breakthrough in your podcast, or you finally hit a hundred thousand downloads or whatever that number is that you think is gonna make it all make sense.
(04:05):
And finally the bank account looks good and the course launch went well and all these pieces are just coming into play and it feels really good it doesn’t mean worry ends. Have you ever heard like new levels, new devils? Legit.
(04:18):
So what I really love so much about God and my time with Him every single day is He just brings me exactly what I need right when I need it. And I’ve been going through some of my own worries in my business.
(04:35):
This quarter has been insane on a personal level with Landon and the emergency room and then into emergency surgery for his appendix removal.
And then my boys were sick and then all the things and there’s worry in our business, there’s worry in our personal life.
(04:50):
And then there’s like the combination of all the worries coming together. And God just really spoke to me through Matthew 6:25. ‘Therefore I tell you, don’t worry about your life.
(05:04):
What you will eat, what you will drink about your body, what you will wear, isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Consider the birds of the sky. They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns yet your heavenly Father feeds them’.
(05:16):
And then down in Matthew 6:34, ‘But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be provided for you.
Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own’.
(05:33):
And as I sat there and I really looked and you can read all of Matthew 6:25 through 34, I really sat with that and thought of it from a business perspective.
God says don’t worry about your life and being in business, being entrepreneurs, it’s part of our life.
(05:52):
So if we are called to not worry about our life yet, but seek first the kingdom of God. So I always dissect these verses and I kind of like pull out the key concepts and then I see how it applies to me.
(06:06):
So when I see seek first, that really means before everything else, right before we show up in our business, before we decide to worry, before we meet with the client. Seek first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
(06:24):
And then all these things will be provided for you. What things? Well, whatever the things are that God knows that we need.
Whatever the things are, we don’t have to wonder of things are. And I know that there’s so many of you so focused on this elusive outcome.
(06:43):
When I have this, when I make this, when it does this, all of those things, we have zero control over.
The only thing we have control over is seeking first and then showing up in service and then praying consistently and discerning through the different ways that we are doing business.
(07:03):
And letting go of the things that are idols and that are not for us and showing up in the methods that God has laid before us and the things he’s called us to.
And then the things will be provided for you. So don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will worry about itself.
(07:20):
I feel like God always has jokes. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Can’t you see Him be like, don’t worry, cuz today’s hard enough.
Just show up for today, get through one day at a time is really what I’m hearing. And lastly, hear on this one principle of don’t worry.
(07:40):
I mean the truth is, is that while we all have businesses and we’ve been called to business and we’ve been called to entrepreneurship and leadership and I know that you are all faith led incredible women of God serving the kingdom. The truth is there’s zero security in our businesses.
(07:55):
The only security that we actually have is out for the glory of God is being saved, praises and the security that we have in knowing that we’re going to heaven.
So that gives us this freedom to not worry at all, to just know that things that are here of this earth, that we can tangibly try and shoot for and collect.
(08:17):
They’re all gonna be gone one day. And these only thing that actually matters is showing up, worry free with authority and saying yes to big faith because fear doesn’t matter anyway.
(08:30):
It’s that I’m showing up to my fullest capacity without worry for Him. And knowing that at the end of the day, I’ll have done everything I possibly can to fulfill the calling that he placed on me.
(08:42):
The second biblical principle is that knowledge is your weaponry. So 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says ‘For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds.
(09:05):
We demolish arguments and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God. And we take every thought captive to obey Christ’.
(09:15):
The truth is is that we are waging war every single day of our lives. There is a war for our souls, for the souls of people that we love and obviously coming at your business too.
And I know that you guys have felt it the moment you were about to say yes to getting in and figure out what your calling was.
(09:36):
It was like I’m coming at you, you felt under attack. The second you were like, I’m going to launch that podcast, I know I’m gonna do it, this is gonna be the answer.
Every limiting thought came in and every thought started to flood and every fear and every belief that you can’t do it.
(09:50):
And then on the brink of the breakthrough before you met that first client or whatever the thing was you were under attack. And I know that spiritual warfare is 100% real.
(10:03):
We fight against unseen principalities. And that is just a fact. And so you have a choice you can battle for your business. You can battle for your life or you can sit back and, and be attacked.
(10:16):
I choose because I’ve been promised that I have authority in Jesus Christ. I choose to not fight with blades and guns, but to fight with the knowledge of God.
(10:29):
The passage from 2 Corinthians tells us that we can demolish these strongholds. We can demolish through the power of God, all of the things that come at us from a dark place.
(10:46):
But the truth is, is that the power comes through having the knowledge of God. Did you hear that? The weapon, the scripture so specifically speaks of is knowledge. What is knowledge and where does it come from?
(11:04):
Knowledge and, I’m no theologian, but in my humble opinion, knowledge comes from the word of God.
And if the word of God is knowledge, then we can wear that knowledge like armor in our everyday lives as we show up to business, we can show up to battle at the same time being armored in scripture, knowing that knowledge is a weapon.
(11:26):
The way that I see this is really going through four simple things. First, is as we experience these attacks or these thoughts, these things coming at us that the whole goal is to derail us, to get us to give up, to get you to sit down, to get you to stay quiet, to get you to not move forward by faith, into your purpose work.
(11:47):
It’s the entire goal is to get you to think that you shouldn’t do it. So I have four things I do. One, stop. Two, I inventory, Is this from God? Usually that answers no.
The third thing I do is armor up with knowledge. For me, the knowledge is scripture and God’s word. And then the fourth step is I pray.
(12:06):
Because God’s willing, He’s here to help you. He’s here to walk through these lies with you and help you take half of the thoughts.
He is here to help you battle, but we have to invite Him in. So stop, inventory, knowledge up AKA scripture, and four, pray.
(12:21):
That’s just something tactical that I do every day to fight for my business and to go to battle for my purpose.
The third principle that I wanna share with you, that really just us hit me so hard the past couple weeks was the principle of being vulnerable and humble in our walkout of our business.
(12:45):
It’s so hard not to hide behind ego, not to hide behind all the cool, great, amazing things we’re doing. And also to kind of hide the hard stuff.
Cause I think vulnerability and humility go hand in hand. And if they’re in a partnership, I’m jumping into their club. I’m raising my hand.
(13:05):
I am ready to really step out from behind the flesh and step into the spirit and really run my business spirit forward.
And so Psalm 34:17 says ‘The righteous cry out and the Lord hears and rescues them from their troubles. The Lord is near the broken hearted. He saves those crushed in spirit’.
(13:34):
So when we cry out, He hears us and He rescues us from our troubles, but are we crying out?
Are we living from a place of, I can do this on my own, a place flesh forward saying I don’t need anyone and I don’t need you, God.
That is so hard to admit, but that takes humility and vulnerability to say I’m lost today or I’m scared today, or I’m not sure I’m gonna make it today.
(14:02):
Or how am I gonna pay the bills this month? Or is this even working in my business? Those honest conversations with God show so much humility, integrity, and vulnerability and Psalm 34:17 promises that the Lord is near the brokenhearted and he saves those that are crushed in spirit.
(14:22):
If you look at Psalm 34:18, there are so many aspects of God’s character in throughout Psalms. But specifically I see rescuer, close at hand, savior, helper, guide, leader, friend, father.
And to me, it’s like opening up and allowing God to be all of those different pieces to really provide for me at a rescuer level.
(14:52):
And then at a leadership level. And then at a friend and a father and a savior and a helper, He is everywhere. He is within every single aspect of your business and your life.
And all we have to do is be open to it and be vulnerable and really humble.
(15:07):
The pieces of us that think we can be in control all the time and allow ourselves to show some weakness because there is strength in weakness and it brings us to this place of really leaning on Him. So I pray this blesses you.
(15:23):
Just to recap, there are three biblical principles that really landed in my heart this past week, maybe two weeks. And I just wanted to share them with you.
First is you are in a battle that is going to come at you every single day, especially when you are doing big things for God. That spiritual warfare is absolutely real.
(15:46):
And your armor, your weapon is knowledge. Wisdom and knowledge, which is found where? Within scripture through prayer, through wise counsel and through really partnering with Him.
(16:00):
Second principle is not to worry. Do not worry about your life. Seek him first, seek his face and all things will be provided to you. Yes, please and amen.
And then last but not least lean into vulnerability and humility, be humble and cast your cares on God.
(16:21):
God will exchange anxiety for love, for provision, for strength. And that the Lord is near the brokenhearted. He saves those crushed in spirit.
(16:30):
So as you wake up and you decide that you’re gonna pursue your purpose day after day, and you go to work sitting at your computer at your job and things are coming against you in your heart, in your mind, maybe spiritually.
(16:45):
Maybe very tangibly very much in your every day, in your real life, maybe in your marriage or your motherhood or within yourself in your mind, we’ve gotta lean into His strength.
(16:58):
And these are three specific principles that blessed me so much. I hope that they bless you too. And that this episode finds you right on time. I just pray that you are strengthened today, that the Lord can pour His confidence and His belief in your heart.
(17:14):
That you are exactly where you should be, that you don’t have to worry about tomorrow. All you have to do is say yes to today.
Show up today, be brave, seek first and then show up and serve because God is beside you, your helper, your friend, your mentor, your leader.
(17:30):
The only one that we need to walk with as we walk to towards heaven. So proud of you. Keep showing up, make God bless you and keep you safe. I’ll see you soon.
