Tracy Hoth, a Podcast to Profit (P2P) grad has successfully completed her first live launch of her new product closing in on an amazing 18 sales! Not only that, but she has passed 17,000 downloads on her podcast.
Let’s learn how she had such an outstanding first live launch and massive growth in her podcast after completing P2P. Those amazing stats come with a boost in her income and the growth of her online business. Continue reading to learn about the path Tracy took that got her to this point in her business journey.
Stay Organized as You Prepare for Your Live Launch
Stef: Welcome! Please tell us a little bit about yourself. Who are you and what is your podcast called? What are you doing right now in your online business?
Tracy: My podcast is The Organized Coach, and I help coaches get the back end of their business organized so they can scale, hire help, make more money, and get fully booked, so they can have success with growing their business in an organized way.
Stef: I love how you have your podcast titled the exact thing that you do. It’s so clear and easy to understand. There’s no confusion.
Tracy: I tried to be as clear as possible.
Stef: Yes, I’m really passionate about teaching my students to be clear with their titles.
Ensure Your Live Launch Has a Good Podcast SEO
Stef: How did you find me and what was the journey like to ultimately join P2P?
Tracy: I love telling this story. I wanted to start a podcast, so I did a search on Apple podcasts for Christian coaches. At the time I was looking for a coach that had the same values as me. The next thing I knew, I found you and started listening to your show, Online Business For Christian Women. You just so happened to teach on how to start a podcast and I was in!
It was perfect timing because you were doing your Bootcamp, and I signed up immediately. After listening to several podcast episodes and going through the course, I knew I was all in. I ended up buying the bundle, starting with Podcast Pro University, and then launching my podcast. After that, I began Podcast To Profit (P2P).
Stef: You’re telling me the podcast SEO worked to get you to listen to my show.
Tracy: I love that I have that evidence for myself and my podcast, too. It works.
Stef: Most often, my audience finds me by typing something in a search, or they heard me on someone else’s show. Those are two key visibility strategies that I teach you in P2P.
After you took Podcast Pro University, did you have concerns about joining P2P? Was time or money a concern? Do you have any fears about completing the program or any roadblocks?
60 Days Until Live Launch
Tracy: There weren’t any major roadblocks. I’d already been in business and I have had coaches in the past, so I was ready to invest in coaching. The money wasn’t a problem, but my big roadblock was the 60-day window to have your podcast launched in Podcast Pro University before the start of P2P.
I bought the bundle, and I was concerned about my busy schedule. I had a child getting married and another child graduating college in another state. We had a trip planned and company coming in, plus I just had 60 days to start my podcast. My biggest fear was time. I didn’t think I was going to launch my podcast in time.
Stef: That’s definitely a valid reason. Did you get the podcast done in the 60 days? Did you feel a ton of pressure or did you like having a strict deadline?
Tracy: I always perform better when I’m busier and have a full schedule. I’m less likely to come up with excuses when I have less free time. Toward the end of the program, if I didn’t have the deadline or the review party within the student community, I probably would have extended my launch by a week or two longer. It was important to me that I attended the review party. I was able to get it done in time because of that deadline.
Stef: The review party is a great way to help students meet their launch deadline goals.
Tracy: The timing was perfect for me since it was happening right at the launch of my podcast.
Joining a Six-Month Immersion Experience Changed Everything
Stef: God‘s hands were all over that. It’s all His timing. Then you jump into this program and get your podcast launched. What was Podcast To Profit like from your perspective?
Tracy: First, it was the most organized program I have ever seen. Coming from an organizer, that says a lot. It’s so beautiful, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. Every module had a tutorial that taught me how to do it, and P2P was easy to follow.
Stef: Thank you, that means so much to me. P2P started three years ago when I was talking to a camera and a group of people without slides. It was completely different than what you experienced today, where you experienced the six-month immersion experience of videos and coaching. It’s fancy now compared to what it was three years ago. It means a lot to me to hear that it was so organized because I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into P2P.
How did you feel about the workload, the accountability, and the steps you walked through in the program? What were your favorite parts of the program, and what pieces were most helpful to you?
Tracy: I don’t think I would have done this part on my own, the dreaded Step 2 that took so long. I kept thinking “When am I going to get through this?” The keyword research and learning about SEO were super valuable. I go back to that module often. The whole process you teach is so amazing.
Intentional Time
Stef: Sometimes the hardest thing we normally avoid becomes the most fruitful in the long run. That includes Step 2, where we do market research, learn the SEO words, and hone in on all that messaging. Everything from Step 2 is used for Step 3, Step 4, and Step 5. It’s a lot, but you did it.
What were some other components of the program that were your favorite? Did you like the spotlight or the coaches?
Tracy: What stood out was the feedback. Getting amazing feedback and having your team respond within 24 hours or less. It was lightning-fast and very thorough. Another part that I enjoyed was watching how you run your business and seeing how the course was made. When I made my course, I referenced your course as a guide. After experiencing your quality course for myself, I was able to give my own clients a better quality product as well.
Another amazing part of this journey is the common bond of Christianity and how you always bring your work back to God. Knowing whether or not God called you to do this, trusting Him, talking to Him, and having CEO meetings with Him is just so refreshing.
Traditional business coaching is a lot about yourself instead of refocusing constantly on what God’s calling us to do. But I love that about you, how you run your business with God at the center of it all.
Tracy’s SEO Strategy Brings In More Leads for Your Live Launch
Stef: Thank you for saying all of that. It is part of our values here. We are going to be excellent in everything we do to the capacity that we can. Everything is Christ-centered when it comes to everything we do, every decision we make, and every response we put out to the world. I’m glad that you felt that as a student in the program.
Let’s talk about where you are now that you have graduated from the program. You first completed PPU and then went through P2P. Please share your wins with us as a recent grad.
Tracy: Well, it’s so fun to have clients that say, “Oh, I did a search, and that’s how I found your podcast.” I’ve had clients who became clients because they found my podcast and binge-listened to it because it resonated with them. Knowing my podcast is coming up in searches is a good feeling. It’s very similar to how I found you. You taught it to me, and now it’s working!
Stef: That is such a tactical win—to have leads come to you and for your show to be found in random countries you never marketed to. You just positioned your show in such a very strategic way. Plus, you are consistent and refined in the content you put out. You are seeing the fruit of your labor come to fruition.
Tracy: It’s fun! I’m connecting with guests on the show and I’m loving it.
18 Sales During Her First Live Launch and 17,000 Downloads Later
Stef: What are some other wins? Please share the numbers.
Tracy: I just checked this morning and I’m at 17,600 downloads.
Stef: Congratulations!
Tracy: Thanks. I’ve been ranked #12 in the U.S. “How-to” category. I’m in the top 1.5 percent of podcasts and have 136 five-star written reviews. Plus, I created my course and sold 18 on my first live launch.
Stef: That’s amazing, Tracy. To sell 18 on your very first live launch is outstanding. I’m so proud of you because you made a real impact.
Tracy: Yes, there are certain things I’m going to do in the second round of my live launch. I’m going to take time to get a contract set up, but the first live launch was definitely a success. I had fun taking my students through the program and seeing their results. It’s been a real blessing. I’m excited to be all in on this program and I know it’s going help tons of people make a bigger impact. I’m looking forward to my next live launch.
Stef: Congratulations again. If I could dream of a success story coming out of P2P, it would be this. You did everything I said, including finishing the course and conducting a live launch. Plus, you made 18 sales with your first-ever live launch. Now that you have done all those things, you just need to rinse and repeat. Now you know that the systems you have in place work, it’s highly desired and all you have to do is do it again.
SEO and Market Research Is the Catalyst to Everything
Stef: It’s really that simple. You were willing to simplify, be a great P2P student, and not distract yourself with a million other ways. Instead, you followed what I taught you in P2P, you followed the plan. And look at the fruit.
Tracy: The distractions are everywhere, but now I’m excited to go back in and keep refining. I’m having my daughter look at the Pinterest course inside P2P and start pinning for me. I’m also excited because you have a bonus about guesting on other people’s podcasts. I’ve done a bit already but wanted to dive into that more soon.
Pinterest training revamped!
Stef: I have some good news: I just finished updating and rerecording the Pinterest training. It’s revamped along with the module about podcast pitching. Both are completely brand new with a plug-and-play template and a new tracker. Thank you for coming and sharing all your wins with us. What would you say to someone who’s on the fence? They may be thinking:
- “This sounds like a great program but I’m afraid of the investment.”
- “I don’t know if I have time.”
- “I’m not sure it will give me exactly what I need.”
- “I’m already successful, why do I need this?”
If any of these things go through their mind, what would you say to them?
Tracy: When I decide I’m going to do something, I want to be 100% all in. I’m going to make back my investment, or even try to double it. It will be worth it if I can do that. The keyword research alone is going to impact your bottom line.
Stef: That alone is the catalyst for everything. You get to connect with people, which helps you have a better understanding when it comes to creating a course. Then you’ll know how to sell your course better to your audience during your live launch. Also, within P2P you learn how to do Pinterest and pitch to podcasts.
Everything you need for your business is here inside Podcast To Profit. Even if you have a successful business, you can still benefit from joining P2P by refining and optimizing your brand to another level. This allows you to double your revenue.
