(00:19):
Oh my goodness. Y’all, I’m super excited. I’m sitting here with three of the amazing women who have just graduated podcast to profit with me. And I am just so proud of them, the work, the tenacity, um, the confidence that they truly mustered up to get through P2P and show up every single week with fearless, maybe not fearless, but lots of audacity. And they decided to do this work and they’re doing it so well.
(01:47):
I’m so excited for you to hear from them today and for you to just think about if podcast to profit could be the answer for you in your business. If you’re a podcaster and you’ve been wanting to scale and grow your show rank, get on the charts, figure out SEO, get a titling strategy, locked in and then monetize using a program or a course, an e-course or coaching. This is that program. Like you don’t need to keep looking.
(02:12):
This is it. And we partner all of that with God at the center. And so that’s what we’re here to talk to you guys about today. So I’m going to start by introducing Michelle Castro to all of you. Hi Michelle. Hello there. Oh, this is so fun. I know. Well, tell everyone what your podcast is and what it, who it’s for.
(02:34):
Well, my podcast is growth against the grain and I help faith led mamas grow their network, marketing business, their way, getting away from the copy paste, hustle, harder culture. That seems to be so prevalent and really niching in and getting super specific about who she’s talking to, cultivating a growth mindset and some healthy living along the way, because let’s just face it. If you’re not taking care of yourself, none of that other stuff going to last very
(02:59):
Long. Exactly. And Michelle, you went through all the way from clarify your calling with me in January. Then you moved into podcast pro university, and now you’re in podcast to profit. So you’ve gone through the entire Stefanie Gass business model. I want to talk just briefly about what was that like, like to go from, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to be sitting here right now. Well, it’s totally a full circle
(03:25):
Moment and I’m totally getting like chills and goosebumps because I listened to women sharing their story about podcast to profit and thinking like that’s really awesome for them. And what I realized at the beginning of January is I didn’t know what my thing was. I had a product I was selling, but that wasn’t my thing.
(03:48):
And so to go through CYC and to get super clear about exactly who I’m serving and then to figure out, okay, how do we take that into a podcast? And then how do we take it to the next level? It has been just so I could not have done this without you, without the Lord leading me to you with all that you’ve put together.
(04:13):
Ah, so great. It’s such a full circle moment to me too. Cause I’m like, yeah, it works. You know, like being able to just see you guys have that outcome that is there for every woman, if she would just dig in and stop getting distracted and stop throwing spaghetti at the wall it’s there. So what were your biggest breakthroughs Michelle, through coming out of podcast to profit?
(04:35):
Okay. Well, I didn’t have a podcast and in order to be in P2P, my podcast had to be live by, I think it was April 15th. And so it just turned the heat up on me to get things into action. So I did the very fact that I went from concept to actual podcast was totally of the Lord and the fire, that stuff, gas lights underneath everybody to get it done.
(05:04):
What was crazy is I went from nothing to 500% growth, over 500% growth in a 12 week period. My show, I would get these emails and I kind of thought they were like spam, like some weirdo sending stuff. And all of a sudden I saw other people posting these things and I was like, oh no, this is legit, like ranking in the top 100 in the entrepreneurship category.
(05:26):
In the United States, I ranked in New Zealand, New Zealand. Um, like there was something from wealth magazine where I, I ranked in their top 10 of something or other like seriously, it was all this like a foreign language that I was like, I don’t, I don’t really know is that, that seems like a good thing. I’m not sure.
(05:47):
Oh my goodness. So you had massive growth, 500% growth, top 100 in the entrepreneurship category in less than three months, which is absolutely mind blowing. And you were ranking in other countries. That’s crazy not to mention you are working on your passive eCourse too. So you are inches from being fully monetized in less than seven months. That’s so crazy.
(06:13):
It re it’s totally the Lord, like to God be the glory for all things, because there’s not any other reason why it would have happened to this way.
(06:22):
Oh, I’m so excited for you. So last but not least, what was there a funnier most memorable moment that stuck out to you through the program? Um,
(06:30):
I think just the biggest thing is that just being together with other women who I, that’s not really funny, but memorable just knowing that you’re partner together with other women who are in the exact same place, because I know that and you know, Satan wants nothing more than to make us feel isolated.
(06:48):
And so we could do this alone, but doing it together is so much more fun. It’s I mean, we laughed about so many different things and just shared each other’s burdens and just was able to, um, encourage one another in ways that we never could have done
(07:07):
Alone. Oh, so true. It is always so special. And I love that. I hear over and over again, the most memorable thing was the women, right? The community, the sisterhood that’s created. And so God is definitely doing a work. They’re partnering us all up. Well, thank you Michelle. You guys go check out, go growth against the grain. If you are a network marketer who wants to build in a long-term sustainable way. Okay.
(07:34):
We’re going to move on to our number two here. Patricia sung. And you guys just heard Patricia on my podcast because I’m super here for her mission and talking about ADHD brain versus being multi-pass. So if you guys haven’t heard our episode, please go, listen. I think that one aired actually Monday of this week. So Patricia.
(07:55):
Hi. Hi. How are you? I’m good. Thanks for having me Ben again. I know,
(08:00):
I think everybody knows your show, but tell us your show and who it’s for.
(08:03):
So I have the motherhood in ADHD podcast and I talk about productivity, parenting and brain based education for moms who have ADHD themselves. It found that there were a lot of resources for moms who are trying to get help for their kids, but we have to take care of mama too, because if mom was not doing well, then our family is not doing well. Amen.
(08:24):
So you had a business, you had a podcast, you were already kind of doing the things before you came into podcast or profit. Why did you join? What happened for you that made you be like, I think I need that program. Okay. Um, well I was sitting in my bathroom on the floor packing for a huge, uh, remediation we were doing in our house and I’m listening to your show and God goes, you should sign up for this.
(08:49):
And I was like, what on earth? Like I’m in the middle of a mess. And you’re telling me to do what, like I wasn’t even on my radar, I wasn’t looking for anything. And it was very clear that, okay, Stef has already done exactly what you want to do.
(09:07):
Why are you sitting here trying to Google and work so hard to figure it out when somebody else has already figured it out and you can just go there and I’m trading my money for the time and energy because yes, there’s a time where we, we hustle and we’re really just working so hard to get it done ourselves.
(09:27):
But at some point, like, is that worth taking time away from my family to be Googling all the rabbit holes? Or does it make sense to just go to the place where I already know what the plan is and just adapt it for what I need and get it done. So that is how I ended up here. God, on my bathroom floor. Oh yes.
(09:45):
He’s so good. I love how he works. Um, so you joined and was it worth it? What were those breakthroughs? What happened?
(09:55):
Um, hands down, it was worth it. When I look back for, for one, the biggest breakthrough I had was just trusting that he is in charge, that he asked me to do this. He set my calling on my heart and I didn’t need to be putting in all of the like frantic effort that I was doing, like letting social media fall to the side and really focusing on the podcast.
(10:20):
I felt like I had to keep up and get more followers and post every day. And that’s not what he called me to do. What he called me to do is make a podcast. And so just allowing myself to focus on the priority of here’s what he called me to do. And this is where I’m putting my attention and not to say that I’m not going to enjoy social media, but my effort is going there where he has called me.
(10:45):
Um, from a practical standpoint, my, the downloads that I had in the 90 days of P2P were more than the entire year before that. Wow. I mean, it was crazy to watch even just from April to may from when we before. And then that first month I had a 60% increase in downloads where you could see the SEO and the, all those foundations were working and coming together.
(11:09):
I hit the top 100 in parenting podcasts for the U S I ranked, um, high in all the English speaking countries. And, um, Canada, Australia, New Zealand is just crazy to think, um, how many women I am reaching at this point, because when I was in there, I was like, this is so much work stuff. Excuse me. And at first I was just like, I don’t know how I’m going to get this all done when you’re juggling.
(11:36):
You know, I was still a, here I am in this home, uh, remediation and kids and all, and we’re in the summertime. It was just like so much. I’m like, what, what have I gotten myself into? But when I look back, all that work was so that I can reach more mamas. It was all for their benefit. Every single thing that I did, every step that I took, all the hours that I was putting in is so that I can fulfill the calling that he put before me.
(12:04):
So while yes, I can complain about homework it’s for my podcast is for my mama’s to reach more women and fulfill what he’s asked me to do. So having that foundation set is just it’s gold because I’m so confident now in putting together pitches to be on other podcasts, to know that I have on my foundation set, and I have plans in place that maybe I didn’t have time to execute them all, but all the planning is set.
(12:35):
So all I have to do is turn around and in the next few months is just do all the things that I already created. It’s not, I’m not doing all that legwork in the planning and the prep. I know that what I have is already, and it’s just a matter of doing it and I, I will do it in his time. It doesn’t have to be in my time. Yeah.
(12:53):
Oh my gosh. So you had more downloads in three months than in the entire prior year. That is talk about a tactical win top 100 in your parenting, in the parenting category, in multiple other countries, you ranked as well, and you have pitch confidence. You know what you’re marketing not to mention.
(13:13):
We also streamlined your course, we revamped your first course, and we have set up your second course, which is going to be step two. So you already have that, like you said, everything is ready. It’s now just,
(13:28):
I’m here to do so. Yeah. Some launching daily planning for ADHD moms next month. It’s already there. Like if someone wants to go sign up, sign up. Um, but I’m really gonna be talking about it in the next month. And then I have time management mastery already set out and that’s going to be in the fall ready to go.
(13:44):
And it’s such a weight off my shoulders to know that I can actually implement all of these things at the start of school, which is, you know, a little crazy for mom to do. Um, you know, but Hey, that’s my people. Um, but it’s all there. It’s ready to go. And I just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
(14:05):
I’m excited for you, Patricia. Thank you for sharing with us. And if you guys are an ADHD mama or, you know, one, please check out motherhood and ADHD podcast and Patricia is awesome. Um, and I’m here for her work. So keep digging in girl. Thanks. All right. Last but not least. We have Eliana here with us today. Tell us what your podcast is and who it’s for my friend.
(14:30):
Absolutely. I am the host of the nothing for granted podcast. I teach grant professionals struggling with feelings of under provocation and fulfillment, how to launch and grow their freelance grant writing business. And I do that with a Keenan focus mindset. So they could experience a purposeful and impactful life. I’m over here hearing my sisters with other wins and I’m like, woo. I’m so proud
(14:53):
Of that. I know it’s, it’s so fun. And just in such a short amount of time to, you know, it’s like three months creates that much traction and it does. And we’re proving it here today. We are proving that no matter what your business model, grant, freelance, writing, ADHD, mamas, um, network marketing mamas.
(15:14):
For me, it’s helping women find their clarity work and start podcasts. Like no matter we’re all different. We all have different niches. This business model works for any one and it is scalable and it is passive and it is amazing. So Eliana, tell us a little bit about why did you join P2P? What happened for you to make that decision?
(15:33):
Gosh, um, I was telling my husband, I said, I feel like God is like tugging on my heartstrings to join this program. Um, it is an investment. Maybe I should just wait until I’ve been podcasting for a year. And he said, okay, so just podcast for a year and then do it. And then I heard the spirit tell me, but how much further along would you be if you started now? How much further along would you be a year from now?
(15:57):
Don’t you trust me? And this is like what God always says. Like I have four kids and every single child he’s like, don’t you trust me? Don’t, you know, I have it all under control and I’m like, God, okay, whatever. So I signed up and the Lord just started moving in ways that were scary and audacious. And I was like, I’m here for it. I’m so here for it. Yes.
(16:22):
Um, well you took it this big leap of faith and you decided to do it. And I think that’s a really big Testament to, we often hear from holy spirit, like, we’ll get those chills, like, you know, like Michelle was mentioning or you’ll get that tug. You’ll hear the whisper, like Patricia or Eliana. You just get like the slap across like girl, you’re doing this, you know, don’t you trust me? And that’s the pivotal moment right there. It’s like, you have a choice.
(16:45):
Are you going to be obedient to what God is asking you to do? Even though it takes money, you don’t have, even though you don’t understand the outcome, even though you don’t know how, even though you don’t feel qualified, like we have to get over ourselves and know that if God’s calling us to it, we’re equipped for it.
(17:01):
So all three of you specifically mentioned, you felt the tug of the holy spirit tell you to go. You felt the whisper and you listen. And through that, you all experienced his fruitfulness and you all have experienced his hand on your business. I’m just, I love this so much.
(17:17):
I want to just add to that because Ronica in our law and our graduation said something that was key and has really stuck with me. And she said the same experience that you had, where the spirit just nudged you, that’s exactly how your clients are going to come to you.
(17:31):
They’ll tell you, like, I wasn’t even looking for this, but holy spirit was like, that’s your girl, that’s your person. That has stuck with me. And so I think that what you’re saying is absolutely powerful stuff.
(17:41):
That’s so true because God goes before us. So he’s already created the clients. He’s already created the plan. He’s already created the pieces and all have to do is walk. We just walk it out. And that made me think of a song it’s like, walk, walk, walk it out. Is that how it goes? Okay. So Eliana, tell us about what happened to your podcast and your business tactically inside of this program?
(18:06):
Ooh, a ton. Um, I ranked number 27 in Singapore. I ranked number 54 in the U S uh, both in the nonprofit, uh, categories. I just saw incredible doors start opening for me, even here in central Florida, where I reside. Um, I was recently interviewed for the Orlando Voyager magazine. I got out of five, um, pitches that I sent out. I got three of them, which was crazy. Uh, when I started my podcast, um, or the podcast profit program, I was at 2200 downloads.
(18:42):
I’m now over 1100 downloads, which is awesome. And then, um, what I specifically joined the program for was to know step-by-step how to develop my course. And now I didn’t just create my course, I’m right smack in the middle of my launch strategy. So it’s crazy to me that in three months I had achieved every single thing that I set out to do. That’s so cool.
(19:13):
And if you were to do that on your own, right? So we’ll contrast that maybe, maybe it’s less expensive maybe, but what’s that time investment, you know, you’re sitting there trying to Google creating a course. You’re so confused with what software to use. You don’t have the right messaging.
(19:29):
You don’t understand how to properly launch and link it up with your podcast. I give you guys pitch templates. I give you guys sales strategies, sales, coaching, um, all of those pieces that are so integral to actually making money with your show. And then I give you guys a course crafter. So you know, the tech of how to actually set up and create a course, like every single thing that you needed.
(19:51):
That’s so crazy. And to rank, um, top 27 anymore, top 55 in the U S amazing. I mean that traction, you guys, that momentum builds on itself. So it’s going to continue to exponentially grow for all of you. I’m so excited for you. So the next question is, um, what was your funniest or most memorable moment through P2P?
(20:17):
Um, I think my most memorable moment was when it came time to create the course, I, a few months ago had just in the shower. I had written out entire outline of how to actually how I was launching and growing my business. And I was like, this is crazy.
(20:34):
This doesn’t even align to who my person is, whatever I put into my business journal, I closed it and I called it a day. And the very first week of P2P, holy spirit was like, you need to shift your avatar. And I looked around and I said, you’re nuts. That’s not happening. I already know who I talked to. No, you don’t. You need to shift your avatar.
(20:53):
And I remember reaching out to Ronica and be like, this is the look of the holy spirit is telling me, like, I felt so bullied. And she said, well, you need to listen. You need to listen to holy spirit and just do it. And I did. And instantly, instantly people just started flooding my DMS, flooding my, my emails.
(21:12):
Like they were waiting for me the whole time. And then what was even more impactful was when it came time for us to outline our course, I already had it all outlined because holy spirit had given it to me back in January. And I just started like Boohoo crying, which is so not like me. Like, I’m so sorry. I’m not worthy.
(21:37):
It was just such a, such a moment where I was like, God, honestly, I’m so glad that I’m sensitive to your voice. I’m glad that I was obedient because at the end of the day, it’s not about me. Just like Patricia said, it is about the people that we are here to impact. We are here for the sole purpose of expanding the kingdom. And these are just the tools and the resources that the Lord gives us so that we can do that. And I’m sorry, I’m getting preachy, but yeah,
(22:06):
I’m in here for a good sermon honey, every day.
(22:11):
That was my moment. And then of course, um, Christine, who is mine in Patricia’s pod, pod, sister, she apparently goes, she goes for runs every morning in Guam. And she told us about these killer birds attackers. So now anytime she’s like, yeah, went for a run. Yeah. How were the birds? So that’s
(22:33):
Oh my goodness. Well, to hear that you, it was so aligned that you go all the way back to January and God had already given you the course. And then he just lined you up with all the ways to make that happen. It’s like, how good is he? I just, I love that. He sets everything up that we need. That’s amazing. And those little miracles are what I I’m just so here for those, because you can tactically experience God in your business.
(22:59):
You can literally feel him moving. You can see the fruit when you are trusting and when you have that faithfulness, so I’m super excited for you. And then I love that you shared something funny that happened in your pod, because that’s the beauty of this program. You guys become true friends and true sisters with your pod mates. And I have women who took my very first podcast to profit.
(23:23):
They still meet, they like actually met up and some of them went on a trip together. Like they became this family that continued to grow and continue to work together. So it’s so much more than yay. My podcast grew, which is amazing, which is why you’re investing in the program or yay. I have the course finally ready and I’m launching it. It’s also finding women that you’re going to be yoked up with that are amazing.
(23:49):
Faith led podcasting, fierce kingdom, changing women, just like you, who you can call up and be like, I have a question or I have a need or I’m getting distracted, or what do you think about this? And they’ll discern through things with you and your business having that is priceless. And that is a huge outcome of this program. So Eliana, thank you for sharing. You guys go check out nothing for granted.
(24:10):
If you are interested in growing a freelancing grant, writing business with the kingdom focus, Eliana is your girl. Um, you guys, thanks for being with us today. If you’re listening to this episode, you’re thinking about joining me in podcast to profit. And I just want to tell you that as the, as of yesterday, we had 21 applications and only 20 spots.
(24:34):
So you want to get your application in like yesterday because not everyone will continue through with the registration process. So you still do have an opportunity to join us, but that is quickly leaving. Okay. As soon as we are fully maxed out, we are going to shut down registration. So stefaniegass.com/podcaststoprofit. If this didn’t push you over the edge girl, I don’t know what will the results are real.
(25:00):
The tactical outcomes are real, the women’s heart and their energy and their belief in what this did for them. That is so real. The way that God is moving in this program is absolutely real and tactical. And I want you to experience what all of these three women have experienced. I want you to explode your show.
(25:19):
My mission is you stepping into your purpose. So again, that is at stefaniegass.com/podcaststoprofit 3, 2, 1 go.
