I know how important it’s been for me to put God first in my business. When I finally let go and made Him the CEO, I found myself filled with peace and momentum I could not have anticipated.
It’s so important to pray for your business, and as women of faith, we should be doing this regularly! But maybe you’re not quite sure exactly what to pray about. So today, I have 6 things to pray for your business so you can keep in constant communication with God and let Him guide you forward!
Keeping God as the Center of Your Business
1. When you pray for your business, seek to maintain God-centered success
You have on your heart to make an impact and income, but as women of faith, it’s also important to keep God front and center. Pray to keep Him at the focus so that everything you do in your business is WITH Him and FOR Him.
You should be seeking to keep your perspective and your heart-positioning God-centered in success, so when you pray for your business, seek God’s vision and His conviction to keep you focused on Him.
2. Pray to set and keep boundaries in your business
Boundaries between you and others (for example, client work, your availability, how much you serve, etc)
Boundaries with yourself (for example, limiting the hours you work, or boundaries with family time so you can have intentionality for your business)
Pray for boundaries that are healthy and will bring you joy in every area of your life.
3.As women of faith, pray for joy in the journey
We are exactly where God wants us to be at every moment, so pray for Him to bring you joy in every season of the journey. When you pray for your business, ask Him to help you find fulfillment at the moment and have peace with where you are right now.
When you are walking the path God has laid out for you, He so often only gives us one next step, not the whole journey. Every day is about you fulfilling the purpose He has for your life. So as women of faith, pray for joy in the moment!
4.When you pray for your business, ask for discernment over opportunities vs. distractions
Pray for clarity on what is a God-sent opportunity vs. a worldly distraction. They can so often look and feel the same way and you may need God’s help to discern which thing is from Him and which has been sent to keep us from our true calling.
A good time to pray for your business is before making a decision. Stop and pause to seek Holy Spirit’s guidance at that moment. I always pray for God to strengthen my discernment so I can be aware of what opportunities He has laid out for me.
5. Pray for your current and future clients and students
You should always keep your clients and students in mind when you pray for your business. Ask God to be preparing their hearts and to bring the right people to you for you to serve.
Pray for your current clients, students, and podcast listeners! Also, pray for them to be blessed and to have success, and for their hearts to be open to receive what it is you have prepared for them.
6. Pray to glorify God in all that you do as women of faith
Pray that God is glorified in every meeting, podcast episode, piece of content, you name it, and pray for Holy Spirit to shine through you and to use you as a light pointing towards God. Always pray to remain open to God using you as a vessel to bless others and to show them His goodness and kindness.
If you pray for your business regularly, God will guide you on your path! Use these 6 areas to get you started in this habit and He will strengthen you in both your life and business.
