The reason people don’t have the breakthrough is either:
A) They don’t have clarity on WHAT they do and who they serve
B) They don’t have a strategy for long-form content that creates TRUST (aka. podcasting), or…
C) You never sell! Or maybe you get weird? What? Just asking! haha!!

Hey sisters, in today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about how to monetize a podcast and how exactly podcasting drives an 85 plus percent profit margin business for me with zero paid advertising. Super cool. Right? So we’re going to go through how to monetize how it works, the different ways that you can make money podcasting and how to implement that. So get ready.

The it’s going to be super good. All right. So let’s start with how to monetize a podcast. I guess when I started podcasting, I thought the only ways to make money podcasting was to have sponsorships was to have people pay me to run advertising. Cause that’s all I had ever heard other podcasts do. And while that’s all good and fine.

Once I got into the nitty gritty, I realized that it was really pennies on the download. No pun intended. Okay. Getting someone to sponsor this show was just not lucrative. And also I felt like it was really diluting my brand to point to a product over here, or point to a solution over here. And I started to ask myself, what are the solutions that I offer to you that goes in line with this stuff?

And that’s when the courses really started to make sense. I stopped doing ad spots, not saying I never will, but I stopped doing ad spots and started refocusing on marketing my own courses because that’s what you guys actually need.

The next thing, Oh man stuff. We have a podcast now. What, how do we make money? Well, that brings me to this conversation with you right here right now, Lola. Okay. How do you make, make money? My favorite way to make money on this show is what I just did. Did y’all catch that. I said, if you’re struggling with clarity, I have called, I have clarify your calling.

Then what I do is I market it right here on the show. I just tell you guys about it. You say yes to the courses, they’re affordable. They, I get results. I have testimonies. I have social proof that they work. And so when you guys dive into those, you are super here for it. So that is my favorite way to monetize a podcast is to have a course that creates a solution for your person. Now, how do we figure out out what course to create, or is a course, right? For me, should I run a program like a live group coaching program?

Or should I have a membership or should I offer coaching? Well, that’s exactly what my program podcast to profit figures out for you. And that is what I’m going to tell you about now, because if you feel like you’re ready to monetize your podcast, you can go and create a course. Sure. I created six before they really started taking off because there is a specific science behind making sure a course is going to work for your brand.

That it’s really, really high demand for your person. There’s also a formula that I use to help my students in podcast to profit mastermind, figure out which which monetization play is right for them based on their super fan number, because there is a play that I believe in that, that it goes perfectly basically with where you are, because I think we have to have products, services, coaching offers courses that our super fans, where they are at that follows demand.

And that allows us to expand and grow as our podcast expands and grows. Right? So if you look at my book business, I started this show and I was doing coaching, which is amazing way to start ladies. It’s amazing. You sit down with someone over zoom and you listen and you help them through problems that you have already walked, walked through.

Yay. Super, super easy. So here for that, and it allows you to get to know your avatar really well. It allows you to hear from them, to dig in with them, to write down their pain points, to understand why they’re stuck, what they are struggling with. So that’s where I started. And one thing I was hearing over and over again was how do I start a podcast like you? And I was like, cool.

So I started coaching them on that and realized, this is the same conversation. Every time I need to create a course, that’s the course I created because it was immensely clear that that was the highest demand at the time Almont created that course. It exploded. Why? Because I know knew how to solve their problems. I was following the demand. I had a attack, a tactical sticky problem that I could solve.

Yeah. I had a legitimate course hosting software did it. Right. Okay. Had an amazing bump offer. A sales page that converted. Messaging conveying the belief to your people that they can do it right when they invest and lead them where they want to go and get them the solution.

So my sales page, after many years of failed sales pages, okay, is totally optimized, which my students in podcast to profit get my sales page template. They get my exact formula for this entire process for how I took a podcast. And in two short years, I’m able to drive multi-six figure revenue from multiple different places from coaching, from the courses.
I have a five figure income coming from affiliate marketing, all of which is through this podcast without spending money on advertising, you can’t just, Oh, I’m a great, I’m going to do that.

And you blink your eyes and you snap your fingers and you have a converting product. There’s a science, there’s a specific tactical methodology behind making sure that your stuff is number one, high demand. Number two, solving a sticky tactical problem. Number three, the messaging and the marketing and the transfer of belief is their number four and amazing sales page. That creates an experience for your person.

Number five, an optimized checkout, where they’re going to not get stuck or hung up or it’s clunky, or, Oh man, this is too much, which work I’m going to turn away. You have to have a point that is strategic based on your person. Number seven, you have to optimize and test number eight. You have to dig in and actually create it. Do the work. And then number nine, you have to know how to sell.

Oh my goodness. Are you like, Oh geez. I quit and retire from podcasting. That’s way too much work. That’s way too hard. I don’t know what to do. That’s cool. Listen, I felt the same way, but let me tell you what is super cool about you being in my audience. You being my Lola. If you’re like, who is Lola? It’s just another name for my superfan. Okay. It’s another name for you for the girl who trusts me.

Who’s here for this ride. Who’s like, I want to do this stuff. Wait. Stef’s way. No need to show up on social 24 seven. I don’t have be on multiple apps all the time. Detox from social media every weekend. Show up behind a mic and just be my authentic me. Have a passive revenue business.

That’s helping me make income. Literally, while I sleep well, helping people solving their problems and then showing up authentically as who I am. I am delegating. Like I want to have it. God led business. I want to do this in a way that lights my heart up. And I want to be present for my family, for my kids. And I want to create impact for God’s kingdom, through my giftings. That is ultimately going to become a business.
