How Every Faith-Based Entrepreneur Can Be Led by God
It’s so important to partner with God when you are a faith-based entrepreneur. He has a calling for your life and business and He wants to reveal it to you! Use these 5 ways to make sure you are being led by God in your business.
1. Read Scripture so you can be led by God through His word
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17
This verse tells us that scripture helps us to become better teachers and equips us and trains us for whatever it is that you do

2. Journal to let your thoughts be led by God
Journaling is integral to application and inventory. Take whatever verse, lesson, or revelation from your time in the word or bible study that day, and journal over it. I like to write a letter to God.
3. As a faith-based entrepreneur, make time to get quiet, stop moving, and listen
“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” -Exodus 14:14
“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” -Psalms 27:14
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.” -Psalms 62:5
Find the grace space in your day where you can sit with God. His presence is so strong in the little pockets of time. Sometimes we are called to lean into rest in order to receive His courage.
4.Be active in your prayer life
If we want to be led by God in our business we have to pray for that. Every faith-based entrepreneur needs to be continuously praying for their business. Remember these truths from scripture.
“Never stop praying.” -1 Thessalonians 5:17
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” -Luke 11:9
This isn’t a prosperity gospel message. This is about asking God to use what He has given you to do amazing things with it!
We have authority through Jesus Christ!
“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” -Jeremiah 33:3
Biblical wisdom is the key to kingdom success
Practice creates confidence! Practice activating your prayer life and practice conversation with God throughout the day. Getting into a habit of praying throughout the day will ensure you are always being led by God.
If you are nervous or afraid of others seeing you practicing audacious prayer, you can start somewhere secluded, like your car. Once you become confident with yourself, you can start showing up and teaching your family how to pray audacious prayers.
5.Find Godly counsel so you can stay on track as a faith-based entrepreneur
When you go off the path you need people to help ground you and lead you back to scripture. These are the people God positions in your life to help you stay grounded in Him. God never intended for us to walk our path alone.
“Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” -Proverbs 15:22
“Plans succeed through good counsel; don’t go to war without wise advice.” -Proverbs 20:18
“Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.” -Proverbs 19:20
Scripture is our foundation, but it is important to have Godly counsel to go to when we are feeling lost, confused, or frustrated. If you don’t have Godly counsel in your life, pray for it, God wants to give that to you.
