Hey friend. In today’s episode, I am doing live coaching with my girl, my friend, Michelle Castro, we are going through and cleaning up all of her branding. She just needed a few refining tweaks. So she grabbed an unstuck strategy call with me, and we went through the four tiers of her brand creation, her podcast, title, her tagline, her description, her pillars. I rift her description and off she went get ready. This is such a fun episode to listen into. I can’t wait. (02:21):
I want to help mamas really like be able to build an online brand, be successful in their business, have a goal for their business, strategize on how to get there instead of being like, okay, well I want to do this, but there’s all they do is put that goal out there, but they’ve never thought of like what it takes to get there and to do it in a clean way, but fun.
(02:40):
Like the things that keeping your like fun, sassy, and one word that comes to mind all the time is unicorn. Like, I just kind of want it. I’ve been called a unicorn mainly because I have pink hair, but also because I’m just different. Like I just want to do it in a different way. Okay. So reverse engineering goals
(03:00):
In a different way. Okay. Give me some examples of these goals because moms having success in their businesses is really big. Yeah. So give me some specifics, some examples.
(03:16):
So like I just had a mom friend reach out to me and she wants to be successful in her business. She doesn’t really know how to do that. So, I think part of it is defining success and allowing people to understand that if to you an extra $200 is success. That’s fantastic.
(03:34):
And we can do that. It doesn’t always mean a six-figure income. And kind of demystifying that. So meeting them where they’re at, but, but getting clear on what is it that you want, like, be honest with yourself. So I don’t know if that really answers your question. Cause I feel like it’s so you, it, it would be so like individual to that person.
(03:58):
So then let’s talk about who the mom is. Cause I think that will really help with specific pieces of it. So she’s a mom who has a business. What kind of business?
(04:12):
Well, my world right now is network marketing. So I would imagine let’s start there. Okay.
(04:17):
So she has a network marketing business and she has a goal. This really helps too. Cause we know her goals in network marketing. Also, I want you to either adjust, make a few hundred bucks, rank advance, recruit more people. I want to have a 10 people in my customer base.
(04:34):
Those are typical goals she’s going to have. So she would come to you and say, help me achieve this goal. And so then you would basically be like a goal strategist.
(04:49):
Yeah, I think so.
(04:53):
Okay. And then you’re also, the other pieces of your brand are helping her do it in a way where she’s not sacrificing priorities, she’s in a healthy mindset and healthy living, but like that’s kind of are those things like just other little ad-ons or are they literally parts of this brand also?
(05:13):
Well me personally, I love being healthy. The company that I have partnered with is actually a health and wellness company, but it’s a thread through my life always. So because I don’t feel like as moms, we can really do all the things.
(05:31):
If we aren’t also taking care of ourselves, I don’t really love the whole self love movement thing going on as believers. But I do, I see the point of it. Like I understand the message behind it. Because me getting on my Peloton for 20 minutes helps my mindset.
(05:54):
Me too. Okay. So we’ve then when we think of the, when we think of the buckets, so this is good. So we have like a basis for you to build an online brand. Fine. Let’s go ahead and like get specific on these four pieces. Okay. Okay. So let’s go backwards. So we’ll go pillars first and I think we have, but let’s just make sure they’re still the same.
(06:15):
We have the, I think it’s network marketing growth. Okay. So when we think of, instead of just being like business growth, are you willing to just go ahead and niche into network marketers? Yeah.
(06:28):
Yeah, absolutely. Because I feel that’s the most competent because for me to take like a corporate executive, be like, I’m going to help you get a, it’s not my wheelhouse, at least not right now.
(06:37):
Sure. Okay. So let’s go network marketing, business growth. Okay. That’s a bucket. Okay. Then we have health and wellness. Then we have mindset. And then I put another one here of goals and this like goals and vision or strategic goal settings.
(07:01):
Okay.
(07:03):
Strategic goal setting. Are those still right? Are those, what are those things than the four you had? Okay.
(07:10):
No, I like those. I think those are better. I love strategy.
(07:16):
Okay, cool. So we got our pillars. So then we’ll back up one more. And the, I help statement that we had, which you put in the notes is I help faith led mompreneurs, achieve their goals without sacrificing her priorities, through strategy, mindset, and healthy living. I do think they associate with the word.
(07:42):
Mompreneur the only other thing, if you want it to be more specific would be I help faith led network marketing mamas. I don’t know which one is even more clear or if you just prefer mompreneur that’s fine. Either one is good.
(07:56):
I actually don’t love mompreneur for me personally. Yeah.
(08:02):
So how about I help faith led network marketing mamas achieve their goals, achieve their business goals
(08:10):
Without
(08:11):
Sacrificing, are they only business goals? Cause you’re also helping her in health and wellness I think for now. Yes. Okay. I helped faith led network marketing mamas achieve their business goals out, sacrificing her priorities through strategy. Yes. Through strategy. Yes. Mindset. Yes. And healthy and a health and healthy living. Yes. So, cause those are three of our pillars and the other pillar is network marketing, which we have,
(08:45):
Which we have in the, yeah. So, that’s your new I help, which I have in our notes. Let’s go title for a second. So, do you have any ideas for your title?
(08:56):
I don’t because yeah, I don’t. I want it to be something that is like, I love the idea of network, a network marketing mamas, but then does that allow for any growth outside of that?
(09:10):
Not really. So you could do something like you know, like, and this is taken, but as an example, like mom on a mission or like, is it always a mom? That’s my first question. Would you ever expand outside of speaking to a mom? Sure.
(09:27):
But I think my heart is so for moms. Well, and that’s why I’m thinking like, could it be something that’s a little bit more like kitsch, a little fun and sassy that because I’m kind of not norm. So I would love something but creatively I’m like add, I don’t know,
(09:50):
Fun spunky words that just pop into your heart.
(09:56):
It’s all that comes into my heart. It’s funny if I’m in sassy, I’m like, I just think of like, I’m audacious. Like I think of things that I’m like, okay, I’m going to get there. I will get there. And I think one thing that you said on the call with Virginia, which is where I first met you is you said when you stopped looking around is when you could go.
(10:22):
And that’s where I feel like I am right now. So, I’m just here. And that’s, that’s not really sassy. I mean, it kind of is like goes against the grain. We want to see what everyone else is doing. And it’s like, no, this is where the Lord has me. And this is where I’m going to focus
(10:37):
Against the grain is an interesting thought, Ooh, mom, against the grain, like growth against the grain. Ooh, that’s fun. Cause that’s so like not one thing, no growth against the grain. And your whole thing is like, Hey, are you a sassy? Audacious unicorn?
(11:05):
You’re in, according to mom,
(11:08):
I was on a mission to grow her business.
(11:18):
Let’s go. Make sure you’re so cute. It’s available before we fall in love with it. Oh, whoo. Not brash, no pressure at all. This is fabulous crush all my dreams, but it’s fine. It’s all good. No, it’s totally fine. No problem. It’s all good. Oh my gosh.
(11:52):
Okay, let go. So that’s perfect because it means so much it can grow and it can expand. And when you think of Michelle Castro, you’re like, no matter what you ever did, you would constantly be pushing this woman and mom to grow against the green. Oh, you love it. That’s making me so happy.
(12:14):
Wow.
(12:17):
So that’s the one. I love it. So we’ve got our title. So let’s look at our tagline then and make sure we tell them what and who in their growth against the grain scale and grow your online business
(12:36):
Also, something like we can include this. Like, it can be longer where it’s like grow and scale and audacious business without sacrificing what matters for the sassy audacious mama or something.
(12:51):
I love it. So, grow and scale. And we might even say grow and scale your network marketing business. I think that’s fine.
(13:03):
Grow and let’s get rid of, and scale too long. Grow your network marketing business, or even like in your unique way or in your grow, your network marketing, grow your network, marketing business for the sassy audacious unicorn. Mom. I love it. Unicorn or for the sassy audacious growth getter for the sassy audacious.
(13:31):
I kind of love unicorn mama. Cause it has that like there’s this whole like be a unicorn, like be different, be something that lights up and is just kind of like get attention. But do it your way.
(13:48):
So I feel like we need to fix this. I help a little bit more Michelle.
(13:56):
It’s a little square. We, you are a circle, so,
(14:04):
Actually you’re a star. I feel like I helped fatal and mamas grow their network marketing business her way through
(14:16):
Through mindset.
(14:18):
Let’s add some fun in here. So it’s like I help faithless mom is grow their network marketing business her way through fun, unique strategy, positive mindset And healthy hacks or something like these words that are more fun. Yeah. Okay. How does this feel? Cause this is like your IG bio statement.
(14:42):
So say, you know, Michelle Castro, the title growth against the grain podcast. I help faith led mamas, grow their marketing business their way. I don’t know if it’s her way or their way. It’s your fun, unique, fun, unique strategies, positive mindset and healthy hacks. I love it. Okay. You too. It’s so fun. Could we eat it?
(15:06):
Like I help. I help audacious. They fled mamas.
(15:10):
I help. I want those
(15:12):
Who are willing to take risks. Like it’s not just anyone I’ve done this long enough to know that I don’t, I don’t want to someone who
(15:19):
Yeah. I love it. And do what you can for an emoji. Yes. Okay. Perfect. And this like, so imagine in this, in the podcast, art, Michelle, we’ve got growth against the grain. There is Michelle doing something super fun and vibrant, and then you’ve got at the bottom, grow your network, marketing business your way, . And then maybe in cursive under that, it’s like for the sassy audacious unicorn mom, I love it. Okay, great.
(15:45):
Then I’m going to do PPU, which is clearly the next step I need to go because I need to get this going. But I feel like, I feel like I’ve been a little, like, I don’t know what to post. I don’t know what to do. And I was doing, Virginia’s like all the videos and stuff and I’m like, I can’t, I need to like focus.
(16:07):
So is that your recommendation? Just kind of like keep everything under this umbrella and be posting in that manner. Showing how you are audacious as I’m getting this podcast up and going.
(16:22):
Yes. So here, when we look at our pillars, so if we pull these up, ask yourself, how do I help this unicorn audacious Michelle likes star person. Who’s not a square, have way more fun in her life and grow in these four areas. And so, I think you’re just, you’re encouraging. You’re bright. You’re fun. You bring like a sparkle to people’s days. So showing up on stories would still be great for you because your personality really shines.
(16:49):
But it’s also which why you’re podcasting is going to do really, really well because you have that connection. You have a me personality. So you’re going to come through the microphone and like really connect this mom and build an online brand easily. So on the videos and the social media, the first thing is like, does it bring you joy? And I think in moderation, it brings me joy, but it’s like in moderation.
(17:12):
The goal of it is to point back to my podcast. Cause that’s the thing. And so when you have the thing growth against the grain podcast, you can show up on Instagram and say, Hey guys, in today’s episode growth against the grain, we talk about like white dancing in the kitchen with your kids is going to spice up the day before you get going on your leads, like simple, fun stuff.
(17:34):
And then you have a behind the scenes and you’re dancing because that’s something probably Michelle would do. Right? So like that’s something you’re doing on social. It’s like connecting with this other unicorn, audacious mom, but pointing back to the show, always to show like we’re not doing social to grow, we’re doing social to drive trust and point back to the podcast.
(17:57):
Okay. And so
(17:58):
As far as like maybe coming up, maybe we should come up with some topics. You, did you do that? Talk about storm.
(18:05):
I think, you know what? I didn’t, I don’t know if I got all that far, but yes, let’s do topics. Okay. Absolutely.
(18:10):
So what is your woman like? What is she Googling? Also, what are the keywords that she’s looking up?
(18:17):
She’s looking up like, how do I do this? How do I get dinner on the table and show up for my business and do the laundry and do all this. One big thing that she’s figuring out is how do I delegate? What do I figure out that I can’t do? And, and is it okay as a Christian mom? Is it okay for me to delegate X, Y, or Z?
(18:42):
Really finding her space in that business owner, Proverbs 31, like where do I fall in that? And because I know that those have been my personal mental battles growing up in a very conservative church.Like it’s okay to be working, but we have to have, you know, all of those priorities, like how do I show up on, on social media when I’m afraid to, how do I look different?
(19:14):
And that’s where the, the unicorn comes in. And that’s honestly where this whole journey has led me. Is how, how do I do what hundreds of thousands of people are doing, but in a different way, what else is she struggling with pain points in the MLM comparison? Someone started the same day, the same month, the same year, and she’s not there.
(19:40):
Her definition of success is probably skewed this idea within network marketing, that when you enroll with a company, it’s a life sentence. So, I guess for me, one question I am always asking is you need to be resolute in your why I don’t care what it is that you’re doing.
(19:59):
If you want to get a tattoo, I feel you need to be resolute in your why. If you want to build an online brand, you need to be resolute in your why and be so strong about that. That it doesn’t matter. Good MCU, best title I have here.
(20:11):
Switching network, marketing companies and feeling guilty or shameful, how to manage a business and stay sane as a mom. How to delegate as a Christian mompreneur. Also, is it okay or biblical or something in your why? And this one, maybe we’ll say because we have a lot of hobbies, maybe that’s five steps.
(20:35):
Yeah. Stay resolute in your why embody the Proverbs 31 woman as a work from home. Mom. How to build up your network marketing business when you’re afraid of sales. Oh
(20:48):
Yes. Tips to show up on video. When I am afraid or terrified of going live, how do I show up differently? My company is saturated when my thoughts and show up differently, online three healthy hacks to thrive as a work at home, mom comparison and wanting what another successful entrepreneur has.
(21:19):
These are so good. Three secrets to having more fun in your business. So now, the other keywords you might be Googling is stuff like rank advance, grow a team. So those are also cute episodes you can sprinkle in, but doing it in her own way.
(21:41):
So yeah, one thing I just thought of too is like how to be a leader when you don’t see yourself as a leader. Oh yeah. And then you just basically go eating any mind mode. I want to talk about today, get behind that mic. And it’s three minutes because she’s a busy work from home mom and you bless her with that.
(21:56):
And then the next question to build an online brand is what are you gonna sell her? And you may not know yet goal setting goal setting is something that would easily be a course productivity, planning, and goal setting course like that type of stuff is really easy to build because it’s a tactical. But I think art here that next step is thinking about what’s that passive thing, that product that this mom network marketing mom needs.
(22:22):
And then can I have my health and wellness business be like an affiliate for the program? Or how does do you go into you cover all that in PPU right. I do. And also, just as a, a high level, you know, you can sprinkle in the health episodes and be like, you know, and for me and the company I’m with, we do blah, blah, blah. So you’re like almost infusing that your, your company and like, I just switched.
(22:44):
So this one of these first episodes right here, switching network, marketing companies and feeling guilty or shameful, that’s basically you hearing a story of how hard it was. Just, you know, there’s a difference between being loyal and signing a blood oath to a company, right?
(22:59):
And so they’re going to go, Oh, Michelle, what company are you with? And this podcast will turn into a recruiting tool also because they’re going to go, I want to just work with you. So there’s that. And then with the product line, never say your company’s name, you know this, but saying this podcast, or even just, just briefly and be like, Hey, you’re looking for health products.
(23:21):
You guys, I literally am obsessed with the company I’m partnered with. We do blah, blah, blah. And this and this, and I’ve experienced results in blah, blah, blah. Read a testimony and be like, email me, DME.
(23:32):
So, how do you recommend you start? Like, what is the first episode? I think it’s something like are you ready for, to grow? Are you ready for growth against the grain, meet Michelle and hear the mission. And that’s the call like yeah. Why you start the podcast? Who are you? What’s just who you are, your story, fun stuff about you. And then why they, why this show, what are they going to walk away with?
(23:54):
What are the benefits of subscribing that first episode is them kind of going, is this for me? Right. And this is in that definitely. This kind of stuff’s in PPU for sure. I have people who have everything. Oh my gosh, it’s going to be, I’m definitely doing everything to plug in, basically. Except you need all like the tech and the traffic and that type of thing. Right. But your, your close, this is awesome.
(24:20):
This is awesome. And okay, so then if we have time, do we have time for like just a quick description? Let me try. So I’ll try to rip your description. Hey, you little mama unicorn you over there, running your business, trying to grow while managing kids, household, and life. I see you, but I know that you are called to step up into your own potential because you are here for growth against the grain.
(24:49):

(25:42):
That is awesome.
(25:45):
Do you have all the pieces?
(25:49):
Yes. For you? It feels so in alignment with you. It’s so fun. It’s so, so does, and you know, it’s niche, it’s more niche, so it’s going to be good. I’m so excited. Anyways. You’re awesome. I just am so thankful for you for your [inaudible] to step out in faith and trust the Lord and give me the guts to do something that is like, not even outside my wheelhouse, like it’s in a different country.
(26:20):
You are so qualified. You are going to do so great. And you’re so welcome. I’m just thankful that we got linked up divinely, and now you’re going to go and bless all these moms.
