Are you a faith-based entrepreneur? Do you own an online business? Do you have that inner critic like the rest of us? I’m covering five hard lessons I’ve learned as a Christian business coach that will help you to armor up in God’s presence and His purpose for you. I hope as you walk out into battle for your purpose, you will be equipped.
Important Lessons to Learn from a Christian Business Coach
1. It will get hard before it gets easy.
There are many levels of hard.
It was hard when:
people were mean to me
I failed
there was no money
people copied me
I didn’t understand financials
There are so many lessons that come from something you have never done before.
You will push the lid forward and upward just by taking action.
2. Clarity comes after action, not before.
You have to take action then listen and refine.
Clarity comes through doing, not by thinking and thinking.
You won’t get any further than where you are now until you are willing to mess up and show up without everything making sense. Sometimes you just need to take a leap when God has told you what to do in order to see the clarity.
Failure teaches you invaluable lessons on how to improve.
When you mess up it creates relatability with your audience, so don’t hide it!
4. God’s timing prevails, always.
You don’t get to dictate your breakthrough.
You don’t get to control when or if something becomes successful.
Looking back you will be able to see why God was waiting.
Stay in the present and trust God’s timing.
The sooner you accept and trust God’s timing, the sooner you will see favor in it.
There are so many pieces God can see that you can’t see. You are living in the moment, instant gratification. You have to take yourself out of that and ask yourself how you show up today and ask God what you are supposed to do.
5. You will be triggered often.
As you grow in your business, you will get triggered, especially as a Christian.
Not everyone will like you, and that’s ok!
Be armored for what is to come.
Put your head down and stay focused on what God has called you to do, regardless of the outcome.
Give and serve and do it over and over again.
As a Christian business coach, I’ve learned that It doesn’t get easier as you grow in your business, but you get wiser and have more discernment, and see more clearly when Satan is throwing a trick your way. The sooner you learn to hand your feelings and emotions back to Christ, to lay them at the feet of Jesus, He can set you on a new path. It is important to recognize that sometimes these are just distractions that are keeping you from your purpose work.
Questions to ask yourself
1.What do I really want?
Oftentimes we are looking at someone else’s story, what is your story?
When you get quiet and pray, what do you hear that you actually want?
I pray that you are able to take this process, sit with God, and make some important changes in your life. I pray this helps you to not be shaken and stick to the truth of who God has called you to be. With God, you will rise!
