(00:00):
What’s up Friends! Today we are jamming on three non-negotiables that every successful online entrepreneur must have in order to burst those flood gates girl, I’m super pumped for you to dig into this topic with me. And we’re going to go through these three things so that you can really begin to make traction.
(00:22):
You can stop playing small. You can go from kind of doing the things to like, you know what, I’m fully all in. And I am doing this the right way. I am playing the long game. You guys, there is something to be said for every person that you think is super Uber successful today.
(00:40):
And that thing is, is that they’ve been at this game most likely for years, if not a decade. That overnight success that you see is full of stories, failures, blood, sweat, and tears, honey, because this whole game is a journey that there is no end result. And the journey itself is the actual success story.
(01:06):
But the sooner that we get these three things locked and loaded, the sooner you can get to the other side of the messy middle, I know you’re going to love this one. Let’s go girl. Before we get into the three non-negotiables that every single successful entrepreneur must have, did you?
(02:22):
I have a free workshop girl. That’s right. It is the four steps to clarify your calling workshop. And it will help you get clarity on your niche, know who you’re talking to, how you’re going to serve them. It will help you get started on it, cleaning up the brand that you keep dreaming about. Let’s go from thinking about this thing to taking action and actually creating something that is forever longterm. A foundation you can stand on.
(02:52):
That is 100% yours guys. I am so here to help you create the thing that doesn’t feel like work yet pays the bills, use your gifts for God’s glory and creates an impact for him. Kingdom. You were created for something incredible. I can promise you that right now, no matter what you do, who you are, what you think, what you’re afraid of, the fears, the things that are going through your mind.
(03:19):
As you hear me talk right now about why this isn’t for you, why you can’t have something that is mostly passive, where you show up, you serve, you teach you inspire, and I’m here to tell you that there is an answer. There is a will, and there is a way for every single one of God’s daughters. You included.
(03:38):
I want you to go to stefaniegass.com right at the top on the home page, take the free workshop. Get started on Clarifying Your Calling. So you can build a business that lights your soul on fire. You can also get there directly at getclarity.gr8.com or head to stefaniegass.com. All right, let’s talk about this.
(04:01):
Number one. The first non-negotiable that every single successful entrepreneur must have is a specific micro niche. Now I went back and forth on this one, you guys for a while, because there was a hot minute where I thought, you know what?
(04:16):
No being multi-passionate having like a moderate niche or a medium sized it that’s okay. That’s all right. Like, I’m sure they could be successful with that. But after helping over 500 people go through Podcast Pro University. When you look at the podcasts that are the most successful out of all of my students, they’re micro niche. They are very specific. Who am I serving? Why am I serving them? What do they need?
(04:45):
It’s a specific type of person. They have a age demographic of roughly 10 to 15 years. And they have a specific thing about them that makes them unique and sticky. It couldn’t, it can be busy working moms stay at home. Mom, it can be an empty nester. It can be a corporate, a Christian woman. Like it’s gotta be a thing, like a type of person that you’re serving. And then even deeper than that, what problem are you solving inside of that demo?
(05:19):
The graphic or that market? Not three things, not 100 things, not mindset, motherhood, marriage, and motivation. That’s four things like what’s the one area that you are going to become known for. This is what you have to have. If you are ready to scale faster, number two, you must have non-negotiable long form content. Now I know some of you over there, like, no, I just still haven’t bought in stuff. I’m building my brand on Instagram, my real, their viral girl, my tock it’s like off the chain.
(06:00):
You know what I’m saying? I don’t even know y’all my, my younger brother and his wife were here yesterday and they were teaching me all the new words that the young whippersnappers are coming up with these days. And I was dying, laughing. One of them was like, girl, I got so much tea to spill. I have so much tea.
(06:20):
I’ve got to tell you about it. And I’m like, what is tea? And it means like drama, like so much drama to spill. I don’t know. It just made me think of that. And I laughed so hard because I’m like, I think I’m so cool. You guys I’m like, Aw, the chain K. That’s probably like already 10 years old and everyone’s rolling their eyes at me.
(06:42):
I will share with you in an extraordinarily embarrassing fact, I was using Netflix and chill for a solid year, a solid year. Not having any idea what that meant, except for literally sitting on the couch with a blanket, watching Netflix. I mean, this is how bad it is. All right. I digress so long form content. This is something you have to have. You have to have something where you’re serving and solving for free period. End of story.
(07:13):
I’m not even gonna play with you guys. I’m not even gonna play you can’t, you can’t be over here going, I’m going to build a big successful fruitful business. I don’t care if it’s network marketing. I don’t care if it’s life coaching. It doesn’t matter to me what it is.
(07:27):
If you want to scale that business outside of your backyard, outside of the same 20 people that you know, you have to go bigger, you have to go bigger and you have to do it in such a way that you own it. Your only choices, your only choices are video that you take outside of social platforms and have it on YouTube or better yet your own website that then you share on YouTube, a blog because you own that it’s long form content it’s written or a podcast. That’s it. There’s no other options for long form content that you own.
(08:02):
So you got to pick one. Here’s how you pick, do you prefer to write, speak, or do video? Number two? What is your person actually consuming the most of? Are they listening? Are they watching or are they reading? And then number three, what fits your lifestyle the best?
(08:19):
And I will tell you of doing all three of those things. Podcasting is by far the easiest and the most flexible. I have already paused this recording three times because my children are losing their minds in the living room, fighting over, who gets to sit where while they watch the Incredibles.
(08:41):
And then my other son was screaming because my other son was eating the cheese balls and not sharing. But then the other son wanted an apple sauce, but the other son wouldn’t open. I mean, y’all, I’ve paused this thing so many times, and we’re only at eight minutes and 43, like podcasting is life it’s life.
(09:00):
And you just hop back on the mic and click record again and right where I left off. I’m not even going to edit this bad boy. It’s like, boom, boom, boom. Okay. So those are your three and you got to pick one. Now enough is enough is enough of you going, oh, but I can’t. I have to think about it. Maybe I’ll launch my podcast. If January of 2020 to stop it, y’all get in Podcast Pro University.
(09:22):
Let’s do this. Let’s rip off the bandaid. It’s literally going to take you less than 30 days. This is not rocket science. It’s a simple, strategic seeing where I map out with you. What’s the show about how do we do it? Tech, recording, editing, scaling, visibility, marketing, go launched, done. We are done. You own something that’s in the world. That’s impacting, helping people transform and whatever the thing is that you’re going to teach.
(09:48):
And if you’re like, I have no idea. You’re going to back up a step and do clarify your calling first. Okay. But it’s super easy. It’s super simple. And it’s so scalable. Y’all it is so scalable. Now this is a non-negotiable in my opinion, because if you don’t have long form content, that’s 100% yours. You can’t build momentum upon momentum. You are jumping from platform to platform.
(10:14):
You’re not creating any real traction by making people giggle by being like, here’s a tip. Yay. Free tip Friday guys. That’s not. And I’m sorry. I’m not meaning to trigger anybody up in here, but like, let me trigger you real quick. It’s not about goods. It’s about transformation. And I can’t get you a transformation in a, let’s say 200 word post. Like I need to speak to you. I need to talk to you right here right now to your spirit.
(10:41):
I called the attention, your spirit girl, right? Like it is, we are rising up into our authorities right now. And I can’t get this type of reaction and connection with you over a post. I just can’t do it over a real where I’m pointing out little words, like, maybe it’s cute, but it’s not going to transform you when my free stuff transforms you.
(11:02):
Then you trust me. And when you trust me, you believe that my business model can get you a result. You believe that I believe in my course is enough to invest. It’s a big ask to ask people, to invest with you and to believe in you. To know that you have the solutions that they need. And so in order to get them to that point, you have to show up for them for free. And in today’s day and age, it’s just getting busy.
(11:27):
You’re out there, guys, everyone, you know that you know that, you know, that’s got an aunt, brother, sister, friend, neighbor is going to be slang in something in the next year. So you best get in ahead of the curve and start building that brand. Now this is long term, you choosing your thing, YouTube, podcasting, video, whatever it’s going to be. You need to commit, you got to marry it. Okay.
(11:51):
And I know we like to date things like, Ooh, I’m just going to date, man. I’ll just die on clubhouse, dabble on Tik, TOK, dabble over here. I don’t even know. There’s probably new ones since I’ve been in the game. Cause like I’m a tried and true. Like I’m a loyalist. I am dedicated you guys. Couldn’t y’all try you guys tried hard to get me over onto clubhouse. I signed up and never did a thing.
(12:14):
Cause I was like, I know who I’m married to. I’m married to this point podcast. This is it. This is it. It is something that will be here for me 10 years from now. I am not going to diversify my attention and my time knowing that’s our most valuable resources. Your time to go dabble in something when you already have momentum, just because it’s new and shiny and exciting does not mean you should do that thing.
(12:41):
All right, you got to pick your thing, lock and load and go for it. And when I say Marriott area at y’all like you’re signing a contract with that podcast. You’re like, I’m in, I’m doing this until I’m going to figure it out. I’m going to get better. You have to continue to perfect your craft. It takes hours and hours and years, and years and sometimes decades to build something that is exceptional.
(13:09):
Exceptional. You’re not going to have the breakthrough in five minutes. So stop looking for the easy overnight success. Those are lies. There’s just no such thing. There is no such thing that will be sustainable. Okay. Number three, the third thing you must have non-natives [inaudible] is a solution suite.
(13:30):
It’s a solution suite. Now this is going to take a while for you to build out. So the first thing you need is niche on niche, your niche and your clarity work. If you don’t have that, clarify your calling course.com, then you’re going to choose your long form content outlet. For most of you, it is going to be podcasting because you are my Lola.
(13:48):
And I know you and I know what you do and I know what you want to do. And I know where your person is hanging out. So if that’s for you podcast pro university.com, now, number three, you have to have a solution suite.
(13:59):
What does that mean? That means as I get to know my Lola better, and you get to know your person better, you will begin to uncover their number one problem. When you know their number one problem, you, it is your responsibility to solve it. Okay? Now you can solve this problem in an, in a course, you can solve this problem with coaching. You can solve this problem in a group coaching program, you could write an ebook.
(14:21):
You could have a work, but I don’t really care, but you gotta solve their problem because we are not building this business just to make people have a short-term win. We want them to have the life altering, crazy shift that you have had. And I don’t care what you do or how small you think it is. It matters. We are all a piece of a humongous puzzle.
(14:46):
And that puzzle is the kingdom of God. Having his plan executed here on earth. We all are holding a piece of his puzzle. If we don’t put down our puzzle piece, do you know how frustrating that is? Let me tell you. I bought my kids a super epic 300 piece puzzle and they put it all together and we were missing two pieces. Now it was a brand new puzzle. So I’m not blaming a Pixar.
(15:15):
Whoever made this puzzle, I am totally blaming my children. They lost the puzzle pieces. Now can you imagine God looking down at this amazing puzzle that he has orchestrated in his mind and someone’s over there with their corner piece? Like, I don’t know. I don’t know if I should put my pieces. I’m skirt, I’m skirt and she’ll hold my peace over here. I’m not like you guys.
(15:38):
We all have to put in our puzzle BS. We have to do it. You own a puzzle piece and it is not too small. It is. Excrutiatingly important. Excruciating, apparently. I mean, you guys, like we have to put our puzzle piece. We have to throw our hat in the ring. We have to say yes to whatever it is. And it doesn’t matter how small, how big, how, how much you think it doesn’t even matter what you think about it. God gifted it to you.
(16:01):
And it’s your responsibility to unwrap that gift. Yeah. So you have to try. So what that means is figuring out their number one thing and then creating something to solve it. Now we start with free. So our podcast has so many solutions for our person and then we need to move to the paid offer. And I so intently believe that you need to own this.
(16:26):
Okay? It’s fine to be an affiliate marketer for a bit. It’s fine to have that as an income stream, it’s fine to do network marketing as one small component to your business. But the brunt of your business must be yours. Why? Because you can’t control.
(16:42):
When someone else decides to shut something down, shift a payment plan, shift a comp plan, change the products we, you can’t control the people under you that are building the business. You can’t control. If someone changes your affiliate percentage of your commission, you need to own everything happening from a, from a net income perspective when it comes to you giving a solution.
(17:04):
So how soon can we create that thing for you, that you can monetize with your show, which is where I created podcast to profit. So once you’ve gone through my CYC and my PPU, you move to P2P, which is Podcast to Profit.
(17:18):
And in that program, I teach you how to create a PA a passive or coaching business, or group coaching or combination of two of them to create something that’s 100% yours. That’s scalable that you can serve and solve and make a profit on your podcast. And you can do it using your gifts for God’s glory. Okay. And so that’s step three. So what have I done? I created a solution suite ha visual examples. Don’t you love this.
(17:44):
So I have now a three step process to take someone from, I don’t know what I was created to do to my exact business model, podcasting, to grow the audience and courses, to monetize based on a solution that I can offer. I have a suite. I didn’t start with the sweet, you’re not going to start with the sweet, you’re going to start with one thing that solves their problem.
(18:06):
Now, the worst thing you can do is skip to step three. That’s the worst thing you can do, which is exactly what I did. I it’s got us so good. You know, you know how he goes before you, and he’s like, Stef, I’m going to have you do this all the wrong way and fail so many times and struggle and be your own worst enemy and get super distracted so that you can tell these women what not to do.
(18:29):
I love that God has us walk it out before he has us become the teacher and mentor for those things. So if you’re struggling, I’m like, what was I created to do? All you have to do is look at your own life because guaranteed he’s had you walk through it. And you’re just too afraid to talk about it because your trials are someone else’s testimony and you are meant 98% of the time to talk about those things.
(18:53):
So just get out a sheet of paper and write down every trial, vulnerability, and failure. There’s your business telling you it’s so crazy. Any who I know that made some of you vomit. It’s fine. It’s totally fine. We’re here together. Okay. We’re just going to, we’re just going to be vulnerable messes together.
(19:11):
So you can’t start with step three. You can, oh, I need to make money. That’s where your brain goes. I know I mine too. That’s where it went. Oh gosh, I need to make money. I need to me. No, we’ve got to start with, who am I? Who am I serving? And what is the niche and what is my absolute clarity?
(19:27):
If you don’t have that, forget the rest. Just forget it. Don’t leap on a podcast without knowing why you’re creating it and who it’s for. And what’s going to be inside of it and all the things you got to go step by step.
(19:39):
So it all begins right here right now with who? So recap three things, three things, three things. Number one in order, this is super important. These are non-negotiables number one, you must have niche, micro niche, micro clarity. Okay? You got to know to the tiniest iota who you’re called to serve, help how you’re going to help them tagline, title, et cetera, description, all of those things.
(20:02):
Number two, then you move into long form content. What’s yours going to be? What are you picking? Marriott, Marriott girl. There ain’t no going back. And then number three, you’ve got to figure out what’s their number one problem. And create that solution that then can evolve into a solution suite over time. T I M E this is a journey, okay? This is a journey, but Jeremiah 29 11 for, I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future trust step by step, day by day.
(20:43):
One thing at a time, one thing at a time, not turning away, all the other pieces of your life that God has gifted you, not his rest, not your marriage, not your children, not your health, but going, how can I build this as well? Kay, as well, so that you can be well, you’ve got to build it as well as showing up in all the other areas, trusting, believing, not getting overwhelmed. One thing at a time bite-sized pieces work with a trusted mentor.
(21:12):
Come do my courses, whatever it is, even if it’s not my courses and someone else’s, I don’t care. Find how you’re going to get there. Commit Marriott. One step at a time, one module at a time, one Google search at a time, okay? Day by day. Trust belief, faith God’s plans are already predestined. All you have to do is be obedient.
(21:37):
God, I lift up these women. I pray that you help them do this work. Holy spirit come alive, come alive inside each of them and show them exactly what they need to see, remove any barriers or limiting beliefs or fears that are keeping them from raising their hands and moving forward and stepping out in audacious faith for you father, because we know the plans you’ve created for us are bigger, more fruitful, more exciting, and have a bigger end result by glorifying you than anything we have in our hearts that would glorify us.
(22:12):
We ask you to move us forward in pursuit of your purpose over our lives, to be with us through that journey, to give us whatever it is. We need the resources provision, the coaches, the mentors, the vision, the Google search terms, whatever it is, Lord, that’s going to help us get there. We know you have the answers. We know you have the path and we know you are the way in Jesus name. Amen. I’ll see you guys back. God bless you.
