defeat the enemy, strongholds and spiritual warfare
Hey Friend!
I have read the comments and heard your cries for help, and the one issue that arises consistently is…consistency! When it comes to podcasting, creating content and publishing another episode can be challenging, and you want to find ways to be more consistent.
I understand, and I often struggle with this as well. However, I recognize the importance of consistently producing content. It keeps our business top of mind for our audience and fosters growth. Today, I’m sharing four tips on how to be more consistent with your content.
We’ll begin by examining what the Bible says about this. Whether it’s a life circumstance, boredom, an excuse, or anything in between, it’s time to address this issue and help you maintain consistency so you can continue growing your business.
Two of the Most Common Struggles You Have as a Podcaster:
The two biggest challenges podcasters face regarding consistency are creating and maintaining consistentpodcast content and regularly publishing episodes on schedule. I want you to feel inspired and encouraged to produce content consistently as an entrepreneur, and I’m excited to share my four tips for enhancing your podcasting journey.
The more you podcast consistently, the more opportunities you have to create evergreen content with a long shelf life that will continuously work for us behind the scenes. If you are not consistent with your content, you won’t grow as much as you want.
What Does the Bible Say About Consistency?
The Bible talks about consistency.
1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “My beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
If we are called to podcast and create content using our voices, and you know God wants to use you to help, inspire, and teach people, then be steadfast in your work. You are working for the Lord. This verse encourages us to be consistent and to keep going.
The last part of the verse states, “knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” Sometimes, it feels like we’re on a hamster wheel, constantly pushing out content with no end in sight, but we must understand and recognize that if we continue to create, it will not be in vain.
One person is always moved by what you shared on your podcast. We don’t know what God is doing with the work He has called us to do, so we must remain consistent in it.
Galatians 6:9
Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.”
When we are inconsistent, we experience times of abundance followed by moments of giving up. This creates a constant up-and-down rollercoaster. What if you go two weeks without producing new content? What happens?
People begin to think that the podcast has been discontinued. The host isn’t present, so they stop tuning in. They seek out other options to listen to instead. Subsequently, they switch to another podcast and binge-listen to that one.
I understand that consistency is difficult when facing family tragedies or emergencies. There was a time when my son encountered multiple complications during his surgery. My podcast was the last thing on my mind. I had wonderful friends who stepped in to host my show while caring for my son because we all recognized the importance of consistency.
Sometimes, you have an emergency and can’t release a new episode, and that’s okay. But, regarding controllable inconsistencies, I want you to get creative and not give up.
Are Podcasting Inconsistencies Based On A Decision or A Life Circumstance?
Common excuses that lead to inconsistent podcast publishing:
I can’t think of anything to talk about, so I won’t do it
I don’t have time
I’m exhausted
My podcast isn’t growing, so why keep trying this hard
I’m just going to skip it; it’s not a big deal
Consider whether your choice to skip podcast production stems from a personal decision or a life circumstance. Are your thoughts preventing you from showing up, or are there external factors beyond your control?
Typical Inconsistencies in Our Everyday Lives
We encounter this issue in various aspects of our lives, not just in podcasting. Healthy living is one of the primary areas where we show inconsistencies. We strive to be healthy, but maintaining consistent healthy habits is challenging. I am always on a journey toward better health.
I’ve ventured into diet culture, and now I want to shift my focus towards treating my body as a temple because it is one. That’s what we are called to do in scripture. I want to honor the Lord in how I treat my body, in the food I eat, and in the exercise I engage in.
However, there are times when I don’t have my meals prepped, leading me to go out for dinner and often eat more than I need or choose options that aren’t the healthiest. We often make excuses instead of being steadfast and resolute in the work that God has called us to do.
He called me to show up and take care of my body. I’m going to get up, work out, drink my water, and eat my vegetables, and by becoming healthy, I will thrive in the work of the Lord.
We deal with inconsistencies everywhere in life.
Marriage
Work
Friendships
Finances
Health
We often don’t show up in the capacity we were called, and we lack consistency. It’s time to change that. I have four tips that will help you be more consistent with your podcast content. While I’m discussing podcast content, you can apply these tips to any area in your life where you want to improve consistency.
Tip #1 – Get Organized With a Workflow
The first step to becoming more consistent with podcasting is understanding the exact steps required to produce a podcast episode. If you don’t know what to do, how can you consistently do it? The process involves a lot of guessing, scrambling, searching, and friction.
If you are trying to remember all the steps in a process without visually seeing them on paper or in a workflow, it will be much harder for you to complete the task. Creating a workflow helps eliminate the thinking part of the podcasting journey and instead provides you with a reference point so you know exactly what to do and when.
It provides a step-by-step framework for creating content for your podcast. Remembering everything that worked in the past can be difficult, but documenting it in a workflow makes the process simpler and more repeatable each week. You are developing a success plan within your workflow to ensure that you don’t overlook any details.

To succeed, you must know exactly what you are doing. Follow a specific framework every month, week, and day.
Tip #2 – You Must Stay Inspired
Going back to my healthy eating example, I often get bored with food easily. I explore healthy meal ideas, watch YouTube Shorts, and search for recipes that include plenty of vegetables and high protein. I need fresh food ideas for my meal planning to stay motivated and eat healthily.
Our content creation is similar. If you have your original 10 ideas for your podcast, you might feel bored and tired of discussing the same topics. The inconsistency arises from a lack of joy and fun in the process. Staying inspired helps you remain consistent.
I developed today’s blog topic based on my market research. I noticed that a large majority of my audience uses phrases like “struggling with consistency,” “can’t be consistent,” or “I am inconsistent,” so I created a podcast episode and blog post on the subject.
Knowing how much you struggle with consistency brings me joy and excitement to assist you in this area.
Take the time to dive deep into what your audience is saying and how they express themselves. There are a lot of different places you can go to brainstorm and get inspired:
YouTube search bar
Pinterest search bar
Podcasting app search bar
Market research within your groups
Send out emails to your audience
Text five friends and ask them what they are struggling with
Read the Bible
Read a new book
Every time I read a book, I get creative ideas that inspire me. Don’t shut yourself off to new ideas and brainstorming. Get into a conversation with your ideal avatar.
Send a Voxer message to people in your contact list and ask for help. You can use my free community for market research, and if you’re a student of Podcast to Profit, you’ll definitely have plenty of opportunities within the student community.
Tip #3 – Batch Record Your Podcast Episodes
Why is batching essential? First, let’s discuss what batching means. Batching involves staying ahead in your content creation. On my team, we prefer to stay two weeks ahead. I always have four episodes ready to rely on in case something happens and I can’t record on time.
What if you get sick and lose your voice? What if there’s a week when you don’t feel well? And what if you need a break because you’re just tired from creating content, yet you want to stay consistent with publishing?
If you don’t have your content backed up, you don’t have anything to rely on. There will be times when you can’t maintain consistency because that’s life. However, having an episode bank allows me to publish my podcast episodes on time consistently.
My best suggestion is to take advantage of those moments when recording your podcast and feel like you are on a roll. That’s when you should create another five-to-10-minute bonus episode to keep in your bank for when you need it later. Always batch record your episodes and have extras ready in case of a rainy day.
Tip #4 – Find An Accountability Partner or An Accountability Community
If you find yourself alone in your closet recording your podcast, it can be quite boring, to say the least. Having an accountability partner can help motivate you to stay more consistent.
I have friends on a health journey who check in on me as I focus on my own. I also meet with a health coach every month. Texting my mom with recipes and food ideas provides extra motivation.
Additionally, I belong to a Bible study group where we discuss what we prepare for dinner. All these factors in my life reinforce my healthy choices and help me stay consistent.
The same is true for my business. I’m part of my mastermind group and also invest in courses and in-person retreats, where I gain knowledge. Learning from others is essential for me to maintain consistency in my business. Along the way, I meet accountability partners who are on the same journey as I am.
Amazing Opportunities for You To Find An Accountability Partner or Community
If you don’t have someone to run this business race with, let’s remedy that. I want to invite you into our free Facebook community, where you can get inspired to be consistent with your podcast.
This is the best community for aspiring podcasters to get content ideas, stay involved in market research, have a community of people helping one another with their podcasts, and so much more. You can join our Facebook community for online entrepreneurs and start growing your podcast now.

This post is for my MLM Girlies or anyone marketing a personal brand or physical product. It’s a live coaching session with one of my students about having a personal brand versus product branding, and what this might look like for you.
