defeat the enemy, strongholds and spiritual warfare
Hey Friend!
December needs to be an intentional time if you want to be a successful CEO in your online business.
It can be easy to jump to planning and dreaming about all the things the new year will hold, but as the CEO of our business, there are things we need to make note of and get done before we move on.
Here are the 4 things you need to do every December to have not only the business you want but to be the kind of CEO you want to be.
Testimonial
Hi, this is Jennifer Emanuel owner of Christ Led Business. I wanted to leave a quick message to let everyone know how much I got from doing P2P with Stef. She has been instrumental in not only increasing my downloads but also being ranked at this point going from unknown to top 5 in the world in my category. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done Stef. I appreciate how much love and info you’ve poured over us during this time.
Going From Unknown To Top 5!
If you want these kinds of results, to grow a platform that doesn’t depend on your touching your cell phone 5-6 hours a day, then podcasting is the way! I invite you to come check out the Stefanie Gass School which has three specific steps to help you clarify your calling, start your podcast, and then grow and monetize your podcast.
If you want to get to know me and how I grow a business then I have two awesome freebies for you as well:

Podcast For Growth– how and why podcasting is the best option for building a profitable business
But let’s dive into what we need to do every December as a successful CEO.
#1 – Reflect On The Year
This includes looking over everything like:
my wins
my losses
my lessons
Tactically this looks like is using my Horacio Planner which I use every single year. ( Go grab yours and use code STEF20 for a discount). What I love so much about this planner is that at the end of each month, there is a place to put a praise report. When I plan the next month, I can see what amazing things ( business, personal, relationship, health, etc) have been happening in my life.
I like to compare each year’s comprehensive praise report. This gives me joy and creates gratitude because the joy is in the journey.
There’s never a time when you actually get to the finish line. You’ll experience little moments that are big wins, but as you grow as a successful CEO in your business it’s so important to pause and reflect on how much you’ve grown in the last year.
If you haven’t been doing it month to month, but want to try it now at the end of the year, a great hack is to look through your photos by month and see what is going on. It’s a game-changer to see your blessings laid out.
#2 – Plan For The Next Year
If you are anything like me, you love planning! As a successful CEO, I make a specific master plan for every area of my business. I include things like:
business goals
revenue goals
podcast download goals
live launch goals
team goals
If you have a plan for the coming year, then you need very specific metrics and data to measure to help you hit the goals that you have planned. For example, you can’t just say “Hey I want to make more money,” you have to know
how much money do you make currently?
what realistic revenue goal do you want to hit?
what specific steps are you going to take to get there?
It’s also important to remember to focus on these specific goals so you don’t get distracted and start working on something else that’s not going to get you where you want to be.
You can also apply this process to your personal life. Plan your goals around things like your health and marriage and make them specific and measurable. If you are a visual person you can even make a vision board, or use a beautiful planner like the Horacio planner I mentioned before. It’s perfectly designed to help you plan intentionally for the next year.
Your plan becomes the action that you take the next year.
All you have to do with any plan in your life is to identify the first 3 steps. Others might say you need to come up with every single step, but sometimes we don’t really know all the steps it’s going to take. Don’t waste time coming up with a perfectly outlined plan, just take action.
The only way to make something happen is just to start! If you stay stagnant you get absolutely nowhere on your goals.
#3 – Go On A CEO Retreat
This is something I have done every year for the last 4 years. It’s very special and sacred to me because it’s a place to get space.
You don’t have to necessarily go on some fancy retreat or actually leave town, but you do need to carve out some space to model this idea. It’s much better done with a friend specifically a friend who has a similar business as yours. This creates community and a safe place to get out of your head. Your friends can put other eyes on your goals and give you feedback on what you are implementing.
It’s also just a nice way to get out of your regular routine and have some genuine rest and encouragement.
#4 – Take Time Off
Similar to the retreat idea that gives your business a little space and rest, taking time off for your personal life is so important.
We are called as Christians to rest. Even God, the creator of the universe, took time to rest and so beautifully modeled that for us. If you want to be a successful CEO, you have to rest.
I know the temptation is there to do more because you’ve got some extra time, but instead let’s try resting, worshipping, and recuperating. January will come and we will get back to hard work that is needed and glorifying to God, but we will do that when the time is right. December is not the time for grind, it’s the time for rest.
