defeat the enemy, strongholds and spiritual warfare
Hey Friend!
Feeling overwhelmed while searching for coaching clients? Sometimes we overcomplicate things when looking for clients. It’s simpler than you may think.
Are you ready to find coaching clients the easy way? Keep reading, as you will learn three places where you can find your first five paid coaching clients.
Place # 1- Your Podcast
The first place to find your first coaching clients is from your podcast. This is the easiest and most low stress way to get your first clients.
Your coaching offers don’t need to be complicated or fancy. You can announce on your podcast that if anyone wants a coaching call, to send you an email. Although it may seem basic, it works. The best way to attract clients straight from your podcast is to:
1-offer coaching with a non-pressure invitation
2-tell them exactly how to get in touch with you
Close Your First 5 Coaching Clients With a Discovery Call
A simple way to close your first 5 coaching clients is to do a short discovery call with them. Have a 5-10 minute conversation to get to know them and find out what type of help they are looking for. This will help you close the deal. Discovery calls can be quick and easy.
Giving an invitation straight from the podcast is the secret sauce. Here’s why: The beauty of a podcast is you are in with somebody super deep. It’s as if you were at coffee with a friend. That is the level of attention that people give you when they are listening to your podcast.
Because they are like a new friend, they will start to trust you, like you, and learn from you very quickly. Then they will take action and book that free discovery call.
A Fast Way to Lock in Your First 5 Clients
If you want to lock in five clients super fast, simply announce on your podcast that you have only 5 spots available for a FREE discovery coaching call. Tell them to send you an email for a quick chat to see if you are a great fit.
Set up the five discovery calls and get started. Talking to someone is one of the easiest ways you can close that sale.
If you don’t ask, no one will come knocking. If you don’t tell them where to go, no one will go anywhere. Have fun with it. Come with an open heart and an open hand, and see what comes from it.
What to do if You Aren’t Getting Discovery Call Requests
If you aren’t getting any interest from your podcast there are a few reasons to troubleshoot. Ask yourself these questions:
1- Is your podcast niched in and optimized?
2- Is your marketing pitch for coaching calls clear?
3- Are you asking them to sign up for a coaching call?
4- Are you telling them where to contact you and sign up for a call?
If your answer is no to any of these four questions, that’s why your listeners aren’t signing up for calls. It should be an easy fix. If you need help with any of this, you can learn all of these strategies in my podcasting group coaching program Podcast to Profit.
Place #2- Your Email List
The second easiest place to find your first coaching clients is from your email list. Start collecting the leads that come through your podcast and do something with them. Take the listeners that are listening to you every week and nurture them with a weekly email.
Create a Simple Opt-in
An easy strategy is to create a simple opt-in such as: Want to stay up to date with weekly episodes? Become an insider. Your listeners will sign up with their email address and then they get the weekly email. Remember these people love you, don’t be afraid to ask for the sale again. Put a call to action at the bottom of the weekly email. This is an easy way to turn leads into clients.
Keep it no Tech or Low Tech
When you are just starting out, keep your communications low tech, or even no tech. Don’t waste time creating fancy sales pages, funnels, and automations. Because when you don’t have the money or resources to make it professional, it will end up looking unprofessional and you will lose the sale.
Keep things simple. Ask them to sign up for a coaching call and tell them why it makes sense to do so. Tell them to email you or to sign up directly through a Calendly link to book a session with you.
Place # 3-Your Facebook Community
The 3rd really easy place to find your first 5 paying clients is from your Facebook community. This is another way to nurture the leads that are coming in through your podcast.
When you have a Facebook group it is a place for your people to connect with you and other listeners. You can post videos, put up posts about taking more clients, or share how you solve problems. This is a huge converter, a place to nurture clients, and grow community.
Bonus Place to Find Clients if You Don’t Have a Formal Community Yet
Here is a bonus place you can find coaching clients if you don’t have a group, email list, or even a podcast yet. Go into other Facebook groups that are niche specific. Let’s say you teach organization for teachers. Find a teacher Facebook group and then post a request for market research. Say something like “If you are struggling with organization as a teacher, I would love 5 minutes of your time to ask a few questions for market research.”
The beautiful thing is that you can solve one tiny problem in a 5-10 minute chat with somebody. At the end you can say, if you are ever interested, I do coaching, and I’d love it if you consider me if you need any additional help with this. This is a fun, roundabout way to get more clients.
Always Ask For The Next Call
Always remember to ask for the next call. Don’t be afraid to do so. At the end of the first free discovery call, this is when the person is most excited about you. They loved your free stuff and they just finished a coaching call with you. The client is on fire and excited for what’s next.
You’ve got to ask for the next call. It’s easier to ask than you think. You can say something like, “If you book 3 calls now I will throw in a 4th for free.” Always think about the next steps.
