FULL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTION:
(00:00):
What up sister, friends. I am here with you today and we are going to have so much fun. Get ready because this is a podcast coaching clarity session with my girl, Tara Johnson. We are going through the four tiers of podcast creation, including how the heck to pick a podcast title, how to get a really clear, specific SEO-driven, juicy little tagline for your podcast or brand. Y’all are gonna love this podcast coaching session. Get your notebook and pen. Let’s go.
(00:36):
Before we get into this podcast coaching episode, I just wanna thank you. I’m so grateful for you. I know that each and every one of you that listened to my show, my Lolas, my beautiful, incredible friends were sent to me by God. Divinely sent so that I can have you in my community so that I can teach and impart to you in an authentic way and show you what I’ve done so that you can walk that same path in an authentic way, in a way that feels right to your heart, in a way that leads you to God’s calling for your time here.
(01:17):
I’m just grateful just sitting in that today. I wanted you to know it. Thank you for being here for being my friend for listening to me talk on every single week for laughing with me on Instagram stories and for just getting it. That we don’t have to be perfect. We don’t have to be shiny for giving me grace for showing up as I am in my mess with my kids and my PJs and loving me anyway. I’m grateful.
(01:46):
I don’t have to hide who I am. I’m grateful that you don’t have to hide who you are and that we have found this authentic, safe space to shine and to be women of Christ and to let our callings just blossom naturally and authentically through him. Okay, I’m done. I just love you. Okay. I just had to tell you how much I love your little faces.
(03:00):
So what is our goal for this 30 minute time? Tell me really what you wanna focus on.
(03:06):
Clarity, merging a business that I started, and when I started it I had no even in the real of thinking about podcasting. Lately it’s just been on my heart and I’m like, you know what, Lord, you want me to do this. So now I gotta figure out how to integrate podcasting with it.
(03:26):
I love that. Tell me a bit about, and I have your notes in front of me, but in your own words, what’s the business?
(03:32):
So I started a business called a live coaching and wellness, roughly almost like a year ago, May 18th. It was pretty much quickly to tell you based off of, because I myself ran myself to the point that I was on my death bed. When I woke up in the hospital, the first thing I said to them is, am I alive?
(03:53):
They were like, yes. At that point I was like, you know what? I don’t want any other woman to go through. What I went through with burnout. The first thing that was mental and then physically my body was just shutting down. So I wanted to do one on one coaching for moms. I had postpartum depression, like so many different things over the years.
(04:13):
So I just went straight into thinking, okay, I’m gonna do one on one coaching. I posted on Facebook, started the business and I’ve got a client and she’s been with me for the whole year. We meet once a week over the phone. So that’s been great, but like, I’ve been kind of stagnant because I’m still myself in my mode with two girls and a wife and working, I’m a respiratory therapist.
(04:34):
So it’s like, okay, like I started this, I knew God wanted me to do it. Now it’s like, whoa, how do I leverage this? I’m not a big, major social media person. Instagram confuses me, but I’m not on it for the business. So then that’s when I’m like, you know what, like a podcast. I’m gonna be honest. I was not even a huge podcast listener until I started feeling led that I can reach women that way.
(05:02):
So it made me start tuning in and then that’s when I found you. So it was just like a domino effect from there.
(05:11):
God was like I told you what you’re gonna do.
(05:15):
Yes.
(05:17):
I love it. So do you still want to do the one-on-one coaching for moms?
(05:24):
That’s a good question. I enjoy it. I know that I am not right now charging what I should for it to become even part-time let alone a full-time for me to leave my current career. That is my goal to allow myself more flexibility for my family and to get my myself together. So I think I would, I wouldn’t even mind group coaching, but I know I just gotta build up to it, I guess.
(05:52):
Yeah. When you say like coaching for moms in here, you say physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. So what would be the end result of these women getting like, if you were able to help them, whether it be one on one, whether it be group coaching, Tara, what’s the result? What is the transformation that happens for her?
(06:16):
To recognize her worth her beauty and that she has to work on those elements of her life. It’s a combination. I feel like there’s a lot of women who we focus on we’ll get in this health kick and we’re just all about our body and not even have to be thin, but just, oh, I’m gonna eat right. I’m going to exercise.
(06:34):
But we forget about our spiritual growth or we forget about just being emotional and holding on those emotions and working through them. So that is what my goal would be is to help them to see it’s a collective process and some is gonna be higher than others than what you have to work through and work on. But it’s about finding complete balance in yourself to then balance your life for other people.
(06:59):
Okay. So if the real…
(07:01):
It might be too broad.
(07:04):
It’s not too broad, but we have to have messaging. That’s very clear that that’s what they’re getting, right? When you hear a live coaching and wellness, I think of nutrition coaching, which is fine if we have a tagline that clears it up. So if you’re tied to your name and you mentioned, we may just need to work on the tagline. That’s fine. But really what I wanna start with is like, if we get to start from scratch for the podcast, why not? Right.
(07:33):
Because a live coaching and wellness could be branch off of the show where you say, I do offer a one hour coaching for you and it’s called a live coaching and wellness. That’s fine. But maybe that’s not what the show is called. Right?
(07:50):
Maybe the show has something to do with this collective process. I loved that you used collective and worth and that you said tapping into the balance within you. Those were super key things that I jotted down that you said. So let’s streamline that. Do you have an idea for the title or were you thinking it was gonna be a live coaching and wellness?
(08:17):
No, I actually did not want it to be a live coaching and wellness because like I said, I think I just jumped with that. Now researching more, I think what I was thinking was still too broad, but what I had came up with before finding you was just going to be chin up it’s not just you. Conversations of a woman to kind of help them understand, like, this is something that almost all of us go through on some form.
(08:40):
So almost like that community for women. But like you said, it doesn’t have any of those words in it to help them know what they’re getting out of it.
(08:50):
What’s the vision then? So if we have like this vision of conversations with women, it’s not just you, they’re getting this community, they’re getting inspired. You’re teaching them to recognize her worth in beauty with the different elements that you want to talk about, which are physical, emotional, spiritual wellness, obviously infuse faith in here. Right? Like I can tell.
(09:16):
Exactly.
(09:17):
So we gotta change that name. Let’s think about if those are all the components of what we’re going to give them. What’s the thing? We have to get to the common denominator of what this woman gets to walk away with. Like what is the brand? What’s the promise? I really like the idea of like, okay, I’ll just try to channel some words and some ideas, things you like, write the word down. We’ll brainstorm it out.
(09:42):
Okay.
(09:43):
Okay. If we could play off like collective conversations, I like the Cs, but we need something to make it more obvious. So something like the spiritual collective for her.
(09:55):
I like that. The spiritual collective. Yeah. Because honestly the physical, I had it only because I felt like it created a little bit more balance, but that’s not mainly more my area. So I didn’t want them to be led to think it is like nutrition.
(10:13):
What about like the balance collective?
(10:16):
That’s true.
(10:17):
Maybe it’s like is really the core denominator for her balance or like the blend of life. Right. It’s inside of herself. Talking about real life as well and maybe redefining what balance might mean for different people.
(10:35):
Every guest you ask them, define balance for you. Do you believe in it? Do you not? What if you had this whole idea of getting people to speak up about, you know, like kind of creating a mini controversy? I don’t believe in balance here’s why. I do believe in balance here’s why. Here’s how we create more of a blend. Here’s what it looks like in my life. I don’t know. Just an idea.
(10:57):
Exactly. Yeah. Can you actually achieve it or is there never going to be balance? Cause there’s like you said, there’s two different spectrums where people feel a different way on it. So I do like that.
(11:08):
I kinda like too with it’s called the balance collective. The whole idea is you’re saying, look, balance is a collective of these elements. Right. Then underneath it. So let’s for a second, visualize this and then we’ll keep playing with some different ones to make sure it’s right.
(11:23):
If you had the balance collective and then underneath that, like for a tagline, you had, I love what you said up above. It was so good where you said, I don’t know if you meant to do this, but you said spiritual wellness. It’s one thing, not like spiritual, wellness. You said spiritual wellness. I was like, oh dang, like, that’s almost a category of a category of saying, are you spiritually well, like what is spiritual wellness? I don’t think you meant to do that, but it’s so good. So it’s like spiritual.
(11:57):
Yes. With my client. I have like a section where it is. I had physical wellness we did for three weeks. Then emotional wellness and then spiritual because we cannot be well with our faith and struggle with it. So that’s how I was looking at it as three different compartments.
(12:16):
So you had spiritual wellness and emotional. Is that what you said? The three words? So then what if your whole thing is, and I’ll ask you this question is the end result Tara balance? Is that the end result of all of this or is the end result worth? Or is it both?
(12:36):
The end result is worth. To just stop putting so many before her and recognize her worth.
(12:47):
Sorry, I just had an idea or like a download. Walk and work just came through for me.
(12:56):
Oh, I love that.
(12:59):
Walk and work.
(13:00):
I love that.
(13:01):
Oh, spiritual and emotional wellness for moms.
(13:05):
Yes. I love that.
(13:07):
Me too.
(13:08):
That speaks to me. Oh yes.
(13:10):
I love that. Let me make sure it’s available. Hold on.
(13:13):
Yeah.
(13:14):
We’re gonna be like, I love that, then it’ll be most times when I get it so clearly like that though it’s for you.
(13:22):
Oh, that speaks to me because you’re right. It’s not about getting the balance. This journey I’ve been on with this one, mom, it’s about finding her worth. Beyond just a wife, but beyond the titles that we carry, but just for her. Just a child of God who loves her, who she is. Then she’s able to pour out to the other aspects so much easier.
(13:43):
Exactly. Okay. There is no podcast called walk and worth.
(13:48):
Okay.
(13:49):
Which is really amazing.
(13:52):
Yes. That’s a strong title.
(13:56):
Gosh. I think it’s so strong. It’s also super catchy. Now walkinworth.com is taken, but it’s parked. It’s not being used. That is fine. As long as it’s not trademarked, that’s our third step. Okay. There is a walkandworth.com, but their actual tagline is walking and worthiness, not walk and worth. I think walk and worthiness was taken so they took this one.
(14:25):
Okay.
(14:27):
Trademarked. Because it doesn’t mean we can’t use it. We’ll just tweak it a tad. Or if it’s not trademarked, you can still use walk and worth and do like walkandworthpodcast.com.
(14:39):
Gotcha. Okay. Because it’s just to get the website.
(14:43):
Okay. It’s not trademarked. So as far as trademark is concerned, like you can use walk and worth for your show. You can use walk and worth. I’m not a lawyer. Take me with a grain of salt, but if it’s not trademarked the domain, doesn’t trademark something. Right? If someone’s using a domain, they’re not trademarking something. So you’re still okay.
(15:04):
But you would have to get like walkandworthpodcast.com or walking in worth. Let’s look at that one. Walking in worth is available or she walks in worth.
(15:15):
Oh, okay.
(15:19):
She walks in worth is available. That’s good.
(15:22):
I like that.
(15:23):
Yes. That’s even more clear. This is for her. She walks in worth. Spiritual and emotional wellness for moms.
(15:33):
I like that. So then the website could, I would just see if that shewalksinworth.com would be available.
(15:44):
That one is available.
(15:45):
And then, okay, perfect.
(15:47):
I love that. That one is not trademarked. That one is not a podcast. You are totally clear on that one.
(15:54):
I love that. Okay. Yeah. That’s the number one. That’s it.
(16:00):
I agree. I’m like, I love that one so much. So let’s go deeper then. When we say spiritual and emotional wellness for moms, is that enough? Is there something missing that you wanna to talk about and teach that we’re not covering?
(16:16):
When we tagline it out and there’s one sentence, that’s what you do. So do we wanna include a third component? Right? Right here, we’re saying she walks in worth. We are talking about spiritual growth, emotional growth, wellness all for mom, anything missing in that picture?
(16:40):
Not that I’m thinking of right now, but I could be missing something. Because even if last year I partnered with some other ladies and we did a event and it was called you are enough. We talked about different things of women like friendship and just being worthy of friendship where sometimes women are just so ready to get catty with each other.
(17:11):
The other one talked on anxiety and how so many other women. So I feel like I could still go so many ways with it for topics. One of the moms talked about just homeschoolers and how she was always viewed as that mom because she homeschooled. Whereas at the end of the day, we’re all mothers. We just want the best for our kids.
(17:32):
So it was really cool how each one of had a different take on life, but just showed that we’re enough just because we’re women. So that’s kinda where I wanted to go with it.
(17:42):
Oh so good. That you can still talk about because here’s the question. Does this topic help this mom walk in worth? If the answer is yes.
(17:52):
Got you.
(17:52):
You get to say it, which means yes. Friendships matter. Her time alone, self-care, spirituality, relationships, and emotional health matters. There are all these elements that you said, and it’s a collective process. We get to still use our word here. It’s a collective process of finding the worth within yourself.
(18:16):
Oh I like that collective process of finding worth within yourself. Yes.
(18:24):
Yeah. So like if we write a one liner that’s it. I help moms find worth within themselves using a collective process and we could cut it there or we could keep going, using a collective process of spiritual and emotional wellness.
(18:42):
Oh my goodness. That is my vision.
(18:47):
I love it. This is so good. She walks in worth spiritual and emotional wellness for moms. Tara, what do you do? I help moms find worth within themselves using a collective process of spiritual and emotional wellness.
(19:06):
Yes. I would wanna listen.
(19:12):
So yes. Oh my gosh. This feels so good. So what can you do? You can still do coaching for this woman, but now it’s more defined, right? It’s you know, hey friend, hey mama. If you’ve been struggling with some worthiness in these areas and you’ve been and loving this podcast, I offer, oh gosh, and you could call it anything cool. You could play off of this.
(19:37):
I offer collective worthiness coaching or I offer collective processing. Let’s do an hour together and navigate these elements to see where you’re falling short, which element are you lacking? Then I’ll give you a roadmap to tapping into it. You know, maybe she’s lacking in one or two of your elements that you lay out and then you know you’re just missing one of the core elements.
(20:02):
You’re missing belief in yourself or you’re missing spirituality or you are missing emotional wellness. You’re not feeling enough. So let’s have a conversation around that. That’s all coaching is, is having a conversation to help them through, help them navigate to the other side.
(20:19):
Exactly. Oh, I love that. That is what I wanted to do in the beginning. I think I was just going with, I don’t know, but this speaks to what, because I never did like the physical part. I didn’t think it was enough, but this sounds like enough. This is what moms need. You know, this is the areas where we are. We feel sometimes alone or just like right now with everything going on, like it’s 20,000 things and now we’ve still got all this deal with. So I love this.
(20:53):
So exciting. I love like the play on words and walking in worth for me also feels very spiritual. So I think it’s cool. because you can infuse your faith and all of that amazingness into what you’re gonna teach as well.
(21:07):
Yes.
(21:07):
So let me write you a description of your podcast. Okay. I talk fast, but this is recorded. So don’t try to write this one down. Okay. It’s moms, right? It’s all mom we’re talking to?
(21:19):
That was a question for you because I think it is. Yeah. Okay.
(21:24):
Cause if it’s mom, if she is a mom, then say that. If she can be a mom or not be a mom, let’s cut the word mom.
(21:32):
I think she can be a mom or not be a mom. Because there’s a lot of women who I think just, I don’t think it has to be just a mom. Okay. I didn’t know if I had to niche it down to moms or if it’s okay to just say women.
(21:44):
It’s okay to say women and we can specify type of women if we want. She walks in worth spiritual and emotional growth for strong women or for resilient women. We can say a type of woman if we want to, but we do not have to, we can just say spiritual and emotional growth for women.
(22:04):
It is pretty niche because you’re talking about specifically worthiness. It’s the same type of woman. Whether she be a mom or not a mom that is really struggling with worthiness. Right?
(22:17):
Yeah. Okay. So I think I’m a say for women. Then I can still throw topics in for moms.
(22:22):
Absolutely.
(22:24):
Okay.
(22:24):
All right. Hi friend. I’m so excited to help you walk in worth. That’s right. You because you are enough just as you are right now in all of your mess. In all of that stress, you are more beautiful and capable and confident than you realize. I am here to help you tap into the spiritual and emotional transformation that will help you grow into your own worthiness. Love who you see in the mirror, love who you are inside and out because you are so worth it.
(23:06):
I help women just like you tap into your worth using my collective process of spiritual, emotional, and faith fueled growth. Every week we’re gonna go on this journey together and I’m gonna hold your hand through this process. Join me for inspiring conversation with women just like you. Fun, encouraging, and inspiring guests and so much more. I’ll meet you inside.
(23:34):
OMG. My gosh. That is amazing. I was just visualizing so many women in my head. Just that was amazing.
(23:46):
Her right. She’s like, I need that.
(23:48):
Yes. That’s her. It’s so crazy because when I did the bootcamp and you said about picking an avatar and name her. My avatar, I named her GIA and I was like growing in abundance.
(24:01):
Wow.
(24:02):
What she just spoke was just, that was GIA. That is her just ready to just grow. That gives me chills.
(24:14):
I’m so glad. So that’s your description in your show. You can use that even as part, you can cut it down a bit, but use it as your intro too.
(24:30):
Oh, this is awesome. I got so much work to do.
(24:34):
I’m so pumped. So, and you’re in the workshop, right?
(24:39):
Yes. I went for next Wednesday.
(24:41):
Perfect. So because we have clarity on the podcast stuff, what I want you to do now is dig into Podcast Pro University, get started there and see if there’s anything that feels out of alignment. As you start the process that we will have that eight minutes to clear things up. If everything feels amazing, I want you to bring your podcast ideas to me and we’ll spend your eight minutes on titling your shows.
(25:11):
Wonderful. Okay. You said top eight episodes.
(25:15):
Maybe like four to five, because that’ll really get you through a month. Four to five.
(25:18):
Yeah. Perfect. So right now I’m going with, she walks in worth. Spiritual and emotional wellness for women.
(25:32):
Yes. There’s one word I wrote down as a thought for you. Do you wanna say spiritual and emotional growth for women? Or do we wanna say spiritual and emotional wellness for women?
(25:43):
I think I like growth. Cause that was the problem. Wellness to me still just take a healthy. So I like growth.
(25:50):
That’s what I, I flipped those words and I meant to tell you. So she walks in worth, spiritual and emotional growth for women or spiritual and emotional transformation for women.
(26:02):
I like that too.
(26:03):
Then your sentence, I help women find worth within themselves using a collective process of spiritual and emotional transformation.
(26:17):
Transformation. Yeah. I like that. Perfect. Thank you so much. Oh, you are such a blessing. Thank you.
(26:24):
You’re so welcome.
(26:28):
I hope you guys loved Tara as much as I did. She is amazing. We are all just cheering for you, Tara. (27:26):
It’s ridiculous, but I want you guys to have success. So go get Podcast Pro University, add on the strategy session with it and we’ll get this thing going, girl. I’m grateful.
(27:39):
Let me just leave you with a quick prayer because I know that you are maybe overthinking it. I know that maybe you’re sitting in a space of, could I be that? Could I do that? Am I worthy of blank? But I don’t have clarity. What would it be called?
(27:53):
Listen, I pray over every single person listening to this podcast right now, Lord, I pray that they heard something that you needed them to hear. I pray that you give them divine clarity over the thing that they were meant to hear. I pray that you make stick in their mind and their heart until they pay attention. Lord, I pray that you shake them so that they will listen and take crazy action. Action on the calling that you’ve placed inside of their hearts.
(28:24):
I pray that you give them peace in knowing that you will pave the way you will show them how. You will open the doors and bring them the clients and the listeners and the viewers and all the things that they need when they finally trust in you and the call that you have so clearly given them.
(28:43):
We are grateful for you God. We know that your plan is bigger and better than the plan that we could ever imagine for ourselves. For that, we love you. We are grateful and we trust in you infinitely. In your glorious name we pray, amen. I’ll meet you guys back next week on Thursday, whatever day to is. I’ll see you soon, girl. Love and light Stef.
