Today I am going to school you on MESSAGING. Let’s do a messaging makeover. It’s time to stop beating around the bush and finally get crystal clear on what we DO, who we serve, how we serve them, and how we can get them solutions (aka. make money!)
If you want to have a successful, scalable online or work-from-home business, today’s episode is a MUST. These 5 things are non-negotiable when it comes to being super clear on your brand.

(00:00): Hey friend! Today, we’re going to be digging into why you have no sales or low sales. I believe it’s because your messaging needs a makeover and you need the five pillars of a brand map that converts. So that’s what we’re doing today. I can’t wait to dig it.
(00:26): All right, friend. We’re you’re going to go through the five specific things that you need to have a messaging makeover, how to really get clarity on your brand map and know what you do, who you serve, how you serve them and what that content really needs to be to begin to convert people from cold market into hot market and ultimately buyers.
(01:46): Number one, we need to know what you do. What do you do, Lola? So in Clarify Your Calling, one of the first things that we go through in my course is figuring out your basically I help statement. I also call this the root statement, because this really gives you clarity on what you’re called to do. And I think it’s really confusing when we can’t answer this question in a short, sticky, tactical way.
(02:21): So for example, I help Christian women get clarity on their calling and build a profitable online business. Not everybody is a Christian. Some people are faith led or some people maybe don’t connect with that word. So it could also be, I help women get clarity on their calling and build a profitable online business. Notice how I didn’t say how, notice, how I didn’t say why or when, or with who and made it very big and it didn’t make it emotional it’s to the point.
(02:54): So your ‘what do you do?’, your I help or root statement needs to be clean and punchy. And that is what we go through in its entirety in Clarify Your Calling. So if you need any help on that, we can get you there.
(03:09): Number two. You then from the I help statement, pair that down into a tagline, your tagline is even smaller. So if I say I help women get clarity on their calling and build a profitable online business, my tagline would simply be, get clarity and build a profitable online business, right?
(03:34): It’s like get clarity. I can leave on your calling if I wanted, but even to make it even shorter and more specific, get clarity and build a profitable online business. Or here’s another variation. Get clarity on your calling and build a work from home business. So either of those would work for me. So when you’re going from your I help statement to your tagline, you’re making it even more clear and I have a framework to get you here.
(04:01): It’s my T K O formula inside of Clarify You Calling, if you need to go through that with me to get to the | help and the clear promise of the brand, we go through that in CYC. Now, some of you don’t need CYC. You can do it yourself. Great. But most of you do. And I’m not unashamedly promoting that product today because I know that if you need clarity on your messaging, this is the course for you because it gives you all five of these brand pillars, title, tagline, description, I help statement, content pillars over 30 different content ideas to plug and play, to build your passive income business, all of that inside my four week course.
(04:48): So, most of you are going to need that. Just because it cleans it up, it’s super affordable guys, like I promise you that will never steer you wrong investing in CYC, because that is literally the brand map messaging course of all time. And then all you do is plug it into step two PPU and you’re off and running. You’re building an audience. You’re scaling this new business based on your calling work and your audience is being built without social, your audiences being built through your voice. I digress.
(05:20): Number three, the third thing you need is actual solution clarity. Okay? Number three is solution clarity. And that means what are the pillars of your brand? What are the how? So when you look at my brand and I just said that my tagline was get clarity and build a profitable online business or a work from home business, either one, either one would work for me. What are those solutions? Well, guys, the solutions are right in front of you. I teach the solutions. Every single podcast, episode.
(05:56): Number one is claritywork inside that pillar. What am I doing? I am doing live coaching. I’m doing episodes like today. Getting you clarity, getting you more, more clear on what your thing is, helping you define your message, etc. So pillar one for me is clarity work, pillar two is growing an audience. How do we grow an audience up in here? Podcasting. So my pillar two is growing an audience. I’m going to teach podcasting in there, Pinterest strategies, connection and trust. I’m going to teach maybe some simple marketing.
(06:35): And then in the third pillar for me is this monetization. So it’s online courses, coaching, teaching you guys how to make money from your calling. And then I have a fourth pillar, of course, which is faith, because I don’t believe that you can have a successful kingdom business without God as the CEO. So in my fourth pillar, what am I teaching? A scripture, hearing from God, how to pray, how to have God as a CEO of your business. I’m bringing faith into the mix. It’s an entire pillar for me because it’s a quarter of my content.
(07:11): Number three is you have to know what are your solution pillars that gets your person to the promise of the brand. So if somebody was to sit here and listen to all 300 and some episodes that I have and put everything into practice, invest in CYC, invest in PPU like there’s zero chances that they would not be able to get clarity on their calling and build a profitable online business. I’m promising that the outcome of my business is to get clarity and be able to build a work from home business or a profitable online business.
(07:51): How – are my solutions? Number three, through clarity, building an audience, monetizing and partnering with God done. End of story. Notice, I want you to notice something. I did not say my solutions or my content pillars inside of my I help statement or my tagline because it’s way too long to people care for how I help them build a profitable work from home business. No, they just want to work from home. They don’t care, because they want to do a partnered with God, and they want to tap into their calling work. That’s what they want.
(08:25): They do not care how I get them there. So I’m going to save the how for my pillars and what am I doing with pillars, guys. Those are the things that I’m going to talk about in my podcast. Now, I know that all of you were listening. And if you don’t yet have a show, you’ve made lots of excuses up about why that’s not the answer and why Instagram is or whatever platform.
(08:48): I’m telling you, podcasting is so much faster. It builds your trust. It cuts straight to the heart of your, and it transforms them because you’re giving something away for free. They can trust you, they can work with you. They can already implement what you’re teaching, and then they’re going to want what you have to offer. That is the monetization solution. So getting clarity, if you’re not there yet, you’re going to join me in CYC.
(09:11): If you have absolute, I’m talking absolute clarity on your title, your tagline, your solution pillars, and number four, number five, which I’m about to tell you, you’re going to pop over into Podcast Pro University. That’s step two. We’re going to build your scalable audience, your revenue engine forever, which is your podcast. But we first have to have these messaging brand map really clean.
(09:37): Number four, you must know your avatar’s number one problem. I know, we have to know what is my person, why can’t they get there? So when I look at you guys, not you in particular, I’m not pointing at you, but I’m pointing at myself, you know, nine years ago. I’ll point at myself. What was my problem? Why couldn’t I get clarity and build a profitable work from home business? The truth is I was super distracted and I was chasing all of the wrong things.
(10:13): I was chasing money and success instead of storing the kingdom. So the number one problem is that I was highly distracted by worldly success. I guess that was my number one problem. And I challenge and question you, is that your problem? Is that why you haven’t trusted me yet on getting clarity, building this podcast and then monetizing it with coaching or courses?
(10:39): Is that why? Are you still distracted on the overnight success or by social media? Are you still telling yourself someone else’s way is faster, easier, better? And if you are, and then you’ve confirmed that, that’s the number one problem that I’ve set out to solve. The other number one problem is that you’re operating from a worldly perspective instead of a godly perspective. So that’s another problem that I tackle really head on inside of my content.
(11:09): So what is this for you? What is your avatar’s number one and number two problem? Why can’t they get to the promise of your brand? Why can’t they get to the tagline? You have to know that. And if you don’t know that, join me in Clarify Your Calling. I teach you how to know that.
(11:28): Number five, the last but not least. You’ve got to figure out the number one way that you solve that problem, that number five is how you make the money, which you may not be there yet. You may still be at step one, getting clarity. Cool. Then you’re going to go to step two. You’re going to build an audience using podcasting, and then you’re going to move to step three, where you monetize it, using a course, a program or coaching.
(11:58): And if you sell network marketing products or you have a product, that’s okay, I’m not going to make you get rid of that. It just feeds the brand. It’s a different income stream, but it’s super important that we build something that’s 100% yours. Preferably it’s passive like a course, because that’s going to make you money while you serve, while you sleep, it’s going to help you to make a larger profit margin so that you can work less and do more better.
(12:28): So number five, when we figure out what the number one solution is for our person, that’s when we can create the course. And so I don’t want you guys to go to step five before you’ve taken Podcast Pro University, because if we don’t have the podcast, we don’t have anyone to sell to, or you’re going to run out of people to sell to the beauty of having the podcast is that’s where we generate leads every single day, who come listen to the show, they subscribe. They like you. They have a transformation.
(12:58): And then they say, what do you got for me? Because you said Stef, I don’t have to show up on social anymore. You told me I can build a business from my PJ’s behind a microphone with my coffee. How do I do that? That’s when I tell you, yeah, we’re gonna start a podcast. And guess what? (13:17): It’s going to teach you how to start the show. Do it scrappy, save money, do it in an hour a week, like seriously grow faster than you ever thought possible. And you get to lay down social media. So you got to figure out when you know their number one problem, and you’ve started the podcast and you have absolute brand clarity. The next thing you’re going to figure out is how do you actually solve it?
(13:43): You need to create that thing. And then you have to market it with extraordinary clarity. That’s when you’re going to move into Podcast to Profit, which is my step three. I teach you guys how to sell. It’s so important. We can’t just create something and think it’s going to sell. You have to tell people why they need it. We have to prove to them why it’s going to solve their problem.
(14:06): We have to make sure that our sales page converts, that our pitch is landing, not on deaf ears, but on hearts. We have to make sure it’s priced appropriately. There are so many components to making sure that you make money in this business and you just have to figure out what you solve. And then when you join me in P2P, we’ll do the rest. We’ve got sales page templates, pitch practice, auditing – I’m gonna audit your stuff. I’m going to price it with you. All the things.
(14:39): So let’s recap. You’re sitting in a position with no sales or low sales. You are kind of unsure about your brand. Your messaging needs a make-over. Here’s what you need. This is your brand map that you’re going to go through to get to making more money from where you are today. Five steps. Number one. What do you do? Clear, sticky, punchy I help statement What do you do? Please take out emotions, take out filler words. Please do not tell me how you do it. Just tell me what you do.
(15:17): Number two, clean up your I help, shorten it up and make it a short sticky tagline. This has got to be 10 to 15 words, preferably less. I mean, I want it to be just boom, rolls off the tongue, you know, like I make meal plans in 15 minutes or less, or I do 15 minute workouts for busy moms. Or I’m a life coach for Christian moms, or I’m a lawyer for solopreneurs or I create contracts for online coaches. It’s got to be that specific. If you do not know CYC.
(15:57): Are you tired of me saying that? Like literally guys, everything I’m talking about right now is inside Clarify Your Calling course. I promise you will walk away from that course knowing what you do, who you serve, how you do it, what your pillars are, what your content will be and how you plug it into step two, the podcast. I’m done.
(16:19): Number three is your message or your solution clear. So what are your three solution pillars or maybe four. Most of you will have three that solve or get them to the promise of the brand. To get them to number two, the tagline. Number four. What is your avatar’s number one problem. Why haven’t they achieved the promise? Number two, the tagline. Why haven’t they gotten there yet? What’s wrong and why are they stuck?
(16:47): Number five last but not least. What is the number one thing you offer that solves number four, their number one problem? What is the number one thing you offer that solves their number one problem right there, that’s your maker. Those are your five steps.
