Hey, sister! Welcome to the third and final episode of The Blow Up Your Biz Series. Today, we are gonna be talking about how to sell with soul. I am giving you five ways to transfer belief and blow up your profits. And I’m gonna help you understand why learning to love sales is a must, why selling isn’t actually hard. Making more money is easier than you think!

And why you’ve got at it all wrong while you’ve been thinking and making sales into a much bigger deal, something scary and something that you fear when in reality sales is truly something that you should love. All right, let’s do this guys. These are five ways to sell with soul. The first thing I want you to understand is sales is not scary. Making more money is easier than you think! Sales are not scary. Sales are simply a transfer of belief. It’s a way for people to know that you have a solution for them. Selling is a huge piece on how to blow up your biz.

We’ve gone through three steps in The Blow Up Your Biz Series. One was having long form content. I taught you how to launch a podcast in 30 days in episode 379, then we talked about how to set up an amazing, incredible community and blow up your biz.

Two, I brought on my student success manager, Lydia, and we went through how to grow Facebook group and blow that thing up, explode engagement, and Blow Up Your Biz episode two, which is 380. And then today in 381, I’m teaching you how to sell, because first you have clarity, then you have the podcast, which is how we get the leads in the door.
(05:16):
We have lead gen, we have people connecting with us and hanging out and then we create community. And then we have to do something with it. Cuz now we have this long form content where we’re pouring out. We’re blessing people on the show every week. We’re connecting with them in this community and now we actually have to sell.
(05:31):
So these are gonna be the five ways that you actually convert. This is how you create rapport with people. And it’s how you make sales feel, not sleazy, not weired, not awkward. And you actually have a ton of fun telling people what it is that you have to offer them.

So I believe that selling the thing, the solutions that you have it’s your responsibility because someone that’s coming in there listening to your show they are desperately wanting to know how you got to where you are. So when you hand them the solution that you’ve created, they’re gonna have a result, right? And I believe that people should pay for those results because that’s why they’re gonna show up for it.

When you guys don’t charges stuff and you literally give everything away, people are getting a result, but they’re not getting a transformation because we have to have something to lose in order to have something to gain. When we put money out, when we invest in ourselves, we show up and do the things.
(06:29):
I have put out thousands of dollars on events where I went and I immersed myself in my business. I’ve put thousands of dollars out on personal coaching whether that coaching was in my spiritual growth or my food and my health or in fitness and gyms and in personal training or if it was in business coaching or courses that I’ve taken. Every single year, thousands of dollars are spent for me to get better and grow and be stretched.

And because I put at that money out, I show up for it. I actually do the things. If it was free, do you think I would do the things? No, because I have nothing to lose. So those of you that are struggling with this charging for what you have to offer, let’s get rid of that.
It’s a disservice to give it away for free because people need to show up and they need to have something to lose in order to show up for the work and to do the work and to commit and to be accountable to something.

We got that outta the way? You with me? All right. So let’s go through my five steps to selling with authenticity and soul without feeling salesy, weird or spammy. And these are just simply ways for you to create conversion without even trying. That’s truly how simple this can be.

Number one is to give value. So what this means is showing up on your pod which is you learn how to do that in episode 379, you’re gonna show up on your podcast, you’re gonna just give tons of value. I have 381 episodes right now, that is probably over 200 hours of absolutely free value, given it away, here’s a tip, here’s a trick, here’s a secret, here’s a system, here’s a how to, here’s a method, here’s a 1, 2, 3.

Here’s what I do when I blank, here’s how to set this thing up here. I’m truly just giving it, someone could come and hang with me and never spend a dollar and still get a transformation. Yes and amen. So excited for that. I want there to be a free vessel for people who do not have the resources to invest money and that is what your long form content does.
(08:45):
That is why we have long form content is to show up and serve and to give and give and give. So number one is give value. Weird, right? Step one of of sales is to give things away. I know, so counterintuitive, but hang with me because it all comes full circle.
(09:04):
Number two, the second step is to get your person a result, a free result, get your person, AKA your avatar, your Lola, get them a result. And this is from your free value. Oh my goodness. Do you know how many of you I hear from? Preferably that you leave me a review for the show and you tell me I’d prefer that then you writing it to me in an email because I would love for that to help us grow the show.

But it blesses me wherever you put it. But I love when you leave it as a review and you tell me what result you got from the free content I’ve given. Guys, I have heard stuff all over the board, all over the spectrum. This is not a brag. This is simply telling you that this works. People have launched a show without spending a dollar on me. Truly.
(09:53):
They have created systems in their business. They become more productive. Some people have literally learned how to infuse faith into their business. Some people have been able to grow in their own personal walk with Jesus.
(10:10):
Some people have learned how to be more immersive with their children when it comes to business and motherhood, et cetera. Like there’s so many amazing tactical outcomes that you guys have gotten from just the show alone, without ever spending a dollar with me. So that’s number two. One is give value. Two is get people results.
(10:30):
So if nobody is getting a result from your stuff, you need to up your free stuff, up your free game. And this is also important when you look at what you are selling and if you are converting or not. If you’re not converting, I want you to look at number two. Are you getting people results with your free stuff?
(10:48):
And I don’t care what you teach. Getting people a result is super easy. It’s get ’em a win. And the wins that I would love for you to get people are small, tiny, easy wins, let me think of an example. Let’s say that you teach kitchen organization and you just get these women or men or whoever, let’s say that it’s busy working out of the home moms.
(11:15):
You get this busy work out of the mom to clean out her junk drawer and organize it. That is the most incredible small win that you could ever get her because that junk drawer’s been sitting there, hot mess express for seven years, stressing her out, making her pull out her hair, she hates when she opens the drawer.
(11:35):
There is no win that is too small. Actually, I prefer small wins. So I want you to stop teaching at a big macro level. And I want you to pair it down and start teaching and training on a micro level. Go elementary. Start with square one. Listen, I didn’t mean to go here, but let’s go here. Your Lola is not where you are.
(12:09):
She’s not where you are. She’s not ready to optimize a kitchen refrigerator transformation system where she can create meal plans in 30 minutes or less and bust a move with her cooking. No, she’s like, can we clean my junk drawer? I mean, that would be so amazing. Please stop getting advanced and expert with your content. You gotta go all the way back. There you go, there’s free tip Thursday.

Number three, the third secret to selling with soul, weird I’ve not even talked about money yet, but hang with me. Three is to build community. So let’s say, we’re talking about Lola here. I’ve given Lola free value. 200 hours of it, to be exact. She’s gotten tons of results from the free stuff. She’s learned how to pray, how to set up a morning routine, how to get some clarity on her thing.

She’s learned why podcasting is gonna be way better than social media, that she can delete socials completely if she wants, if not on the weekends. She has learned how to hear from God in her business. She’s learned how to raise up some kingdom kids. There’s so many wins that I’ve gotten her from the podcast.
(13:25):
But I, and yes, I’ve been mentioning to her all along how she can work with me. But in step three, I’m offering her a way to come hang out with my community. So let’s say that Lola has been listening for two months and she still hasn’t spent a dollar. When I invite her to my community, which we taught you guys how to create, in episode 380, how to grow a big thriving unorthodox Facebook group. She gets to see the type of people that work with me.

She gets to see who the women are that she would be part she would be hanging out with in my courses and programs. She really gets to experience the level of immersion and accountability and the type of people. So, it’s like giving her this taste of what it means to go from I’m gonna be a lone Lola over here, trying to figure this out on my own, duct tape my business together.
Think about investing with Stef, but talking myself out of it, thinking that I can do this on my own to like, let’s just see who the women are that have been hanging out with Stef.
(14:26):
Getting into this community of women who are super fans, who have had big, massive transformations after investing in my stuff, telling her it’s possible for her, telling her that she can organically promoting, learning the type of women we are.
We put God first in our businesses, and we put life above hustle that we put long form content above algorithms. And she goes, this is for me if Mary and Joanna and Susan can do this, I think I can too. So step three is to have a community where she can come and be immersed into the culture.
(15:08):
Number four, still no dollars. Isn’t this crazy how to sell with soul? Number four, be consistent. You have to be so consistent. One of the biggest mistakes that I see is y’all start something. And then you give your people whiplash. Lola’s like, oh, fun.
I’m gonna learn about decluttering my home. Awesome. And they’re here for three months and then you’re like, boom, whiplash. I’m gonna teach you about motherhood now. I’m gonna teach you about network marketing now, cuz that’s gonna make me more money.
(15:47):
You’re not sticking with anything long enough to grow traction or the other mistake I see you start the thing and then you go black for a month and then you’re like, wait a minute. I’m back. Let me start again. Like you go MIA, and then you start again. So you gotta be consistent and you’ve got to be committed.
(16:06):
And I mean to your podcast number one, but number two, I also mean in your messaging, what are you teaching? Who are you? What is your five tier brand map? Who are you serving? What are your pillars? Can we marry something for like a year? Can can we commit, can you hand a ring to the five tier brand map that you set up and that you built and can you just marry it for 12 months?
(16:32):
I promise you if it’s not feeling right, God will show you and you can pivot after a year. But the thing is, is that you keep pivoting in the middle. So it’s creating whiplash for your person and you keep starting over and that is not gonna get you anywhere fast. That’s gonna get you nowhere real slow. And you’re like, why am I stuck? Why is this thing not working? Why is it not converting? And why am I not selling well?
(16:56):
Because you’re totally confusing. I’m just gonna call it what it is. So you’ve gotta be super consistent in your messaging, in your five tier brand map, in who you’re talking to, in what you’re marketing and in the consistency or the frequency in which you’re showing up. If you guys have committed to doing one episode a week for your pod, which is the minimum that I recommend, please do that.
(17:21):
Guys, I have never missed, this is not to toot my horn, but I have never missed an episode that totally made me think of farting because I’m a boy mom, sorry, not sorry. Never missed an episode in over three years, I just batch, I’m proactive. I’m like, this is the thing I am married to is this podcast.
(17:43):
This is the way I’m going to build this business and touch her heart and show up and inspire her and get her to say yes and believe in herself. And this is where I’m gonna show up, where she knows where I am is the pod. She’s not confused.
Where’s Stef? Is she on Instagram or on Facebook or on TikTok? Is she doing lives? No. Stefanie Gass is on her podcast 110% of the time, period, end of story. So I’m so committed and I’m so consistent that my person is always gonna be showing up with me.
(18:15):
Number five, the last one, and still no money. Isn’t this weird? And I’m gonna tell you why all of these things actually make you money is to transfer belief. So one of the biggest hangups that people have, guys, I hear so often from my clients or my students are like, I think I should just lower my price, it must be my price or it must be that I need a tiny offer or I need another offer. No, Lola, hear me. It’s that she doesn’t believe that she can.
(18:46):
It has nothing to do with you. If you’ve given value on your podcast, you’re getting her results for free. You’ve built a community where she can see the type of people and I know that it’s a slow grow, but just trust me on that, community is super important. You’re so consistent. You’re so committed and you’re so clear. If you’re not clear, you’re also not gonna sell anything, go all the way back and take CYC, clarifyyourcallingcourse.com, we gotta get clear, number one.

And now maybe you’re stuck on number five, which is, she just doesn’t believe or he doesn’t believe that he can. It’s not that Podcast Pro University is too expensive. It’s not that it’s hard or that it’s not the right course for her, for me and my Lola it’s that she doesn’t believe she can podcast.
She doesn’t believe anyone will listen. She thinks she has nothing to say. She’s afraid of the tech, not sure it’s gonna work for her. She’s afraid of getting off social and committing to long form content.
(19:41):
So it’s all of these other limiting beliefs and hangups that are actually keeping her from investing. It has nothing to do with the money. If someone tells you it’s cuz they can’t afford your thing. That is simply an excuse for their fear. Let me say that again.
If somebody tells you that they cannot invest in you as a coach or in you as in your programs or your courses or your group coaching offer or your product, it has nothing to do with the money and everything to do with their fear. It’s an excuse for her fear.
(20:13):
Your job is to figure out what that fear is and mitigate it, solve it, talk her through it, help her get over it. So an amazing exercise that you guys can do right now is you can pause this episode and you can get out a fresh sheet of paper and a pencil and you can write down all of the fears and limiting beliefs and excuses that are keeping her from saying yes, not to your course, not to spending the money with you, but to her believing she can do the thing that you teach.
(20:58):
So I would be writing down she’s afraid no one will listen. She doesn’t know what to talk about. She thinks that she’s not a great speaker. She’s afraid it will cost a lot of money to get an editor that she can’t do it herself. She’s not techy. She doesn’t have buy-in from her spouse.
She’s afraid to commit and get off social media. She’s afraid that she can’t show up once a week. She doesn’t have the time to podcast. Right there in 30 seconds, I just gave you nine limiting beliefs of my woman, my Lola, as to why she hasn’t invested in Podcast Pro University yet.

And now my job is to go create episodes that talk and speak to each one of those fears and tell her why they are not valid. Tell her why she can show her that other people can do it just like her, that she does have the time that she can do this. That it’s only a year commitment that she can save tons of time by getting off of social media and just marrying one platform instead of 12, that she’s gonna have more success that way.

It’s my job to get her to believe she can. That is how you actually make money. So stop making tiny offers. Stop thinking you need more courses. Stop trying to throw spaghetti at the wall and be like, maybe this one will be the million dollar maker. No, none of that.

It took me 10 years to finally sit here and speak to you from this place of like, this is so much easier than I thought.
This is so much more simple than the complicated, hot hustle mess express that I was making it out to beat. It’s this simple and everything inside of you is gonna tell you that it has to be hard, that you have to be stressed, that you have to do more.

It’s a lie. It’s literally a lie from the enemy to keep you stuck to your phone in an invisible prison of your own making. Be free, sister! Freedom in long form content, connecting with your person, sharing your heart and creating one thing. One thing that solves her number one problem, and just doing it for a year. Let go of the rest. Let go of it all.
