FULL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTION:
(00:00):
Loves, today I am doing something kind of special for you. I’m sharing an interview that I did with Michelle Castro from Growth Against the Grain Podcast. Michelle has gone through literally my entire product suite. She started with Clarify Your Calling, where we came up with her brand idea. Then she moved into Podcast Pro University. She launched her show, which has been a massive success already in the few short months.
(00:23):
And she is currently inside Podcast to Profit. We are building out her product suite. Her coaching offers all the things. And one of the niches that Michelle fills is helping network marketers grow their business. So I went on her show to teach all about how you can use podcasting as, or as an organic leads funnel in the network marketing industry or any other product based or service based industry. How this truly is and can be your best play for having endless leads online.
(01:00):
I asked her if I could air it on this show, because I know that this is really going to bless you. If you want to stop marketing the weird way, and you want to just sit back record in your PJ’s surrounded by LaCroix and iced coffees all day. Okay? And let the leads pop in to your DMS. Now, before we dig into today’s conversation with Michelle, I wanted to put out there that if after this episode, you’re like, I want to do this. I want to start my own podcast to start bringing all the babies to the yard.
(01:35):
Then I want you to go check out podcast pro university. That is my number one course. It helps you plan your podcast, promote launch, and scale. It edit record how to set up SEO keywords titles that are going to convert how to come up with content, how to connect with your person, to get them to subscribe, and ultimately how to bring leads in using long form content, AKA podcasting, okay, this course is super affordable.
(02:04):
You can get through it in 30 days or less. So if you really think about that after this episode is done, if you want to start a show, you are literally 30 days away from creating an evergreen passive lead generator, which is super fun, super easy. You guys, podcasting is the easiest thing ever, and it’s grown my business in ways that I can really barely put into words as far as how it’s helped to scale the brand. So that is podcastprouniversity.com. Go read the reviews, just check it out, take a look around, see if that might be right.
(02:50):
Come here. Michelle’s episode on my podcast. The Stefanie Gass Show. It is awesome because it will give you that visual of how this very podcast It’s pretty amazing. Even my husband, like his mind was blown, just watching it all unfold.
(04:35):
So I am so thrilled because you know where my girl is. So my Julie is in network marketing and she’s trying to do all the things, but it ends up feeling like you’ve started this to give yourself time. And yet you’re spending all of your time attached to your phone. So what you have spoken to me and so many women is how you can grow this business without working 24 seven.
(05:03):
Yeah. Yeah. I really stand for that in a really big way, because I’ve been in that space before where it was 24 seven, the hashtag hustle, harder movement, always chasing the next thing and thinking that I had to build this business on social media. Okay. Now I’ve been there and I was a top 1% network marketer, so it can work. However, it was to the detriment of everything else in my life, right? Because there were no boundaries.
(05:35):
There was no priorities. It was Stef is available all the time. And Stef is the lid. She is the one that we have to go through to do the sales calls. She’s the one that has to be the speaker at all the events. Cause she’s the only one that can sell. Like there was all of this pressure on me. And so I had zero boundaries in my personal life.
(05:57):
Well, ladies that led to, as you can imagine idolizing success chasing after thinking that that was going to be the answer to the problems at home because, oh, well, if I just had more money, you know, it would all be worth it. And then I could have the nannies and do all the things. And I ended up with massive anxiety attacks. I ended up super overworked, super overwhelmed. I’m 60 pounds overweight with a newborn and nothing to show for it.
(06:21):
So, because I had built something that wasn’t sustainable, I’m going to tell you the differences between building something sustainable versus not in a moment. I had built something that’s on social, I didn’t own it. I’ve done it the wrong way, it wasn’t duplicatable. I was left with a business that was floundering and the money was gone. And in 2016 I call it my Brittany Spears year.
(06:43):
You guys remember the year when she hit the car with the umbrella? Yeah, that was Stefanie Gass in 2016. And we had to borrow money from my son’s savings account because the business had deteriorated. So at that moment to keep a really long, awful story short, I turned to God and was like, I am at my breaking point. Like I’m going through an identity crisis. I don’t know who I am without this, this business.
(07:09):
Like I’ve always only ever been my worth and what I’ve done in the business realm. And so the beauty was in that dark space out of the ashes. I was truly reborn again. I partnered with God and what do you want me to do? How do I do this differently this time? What am I called to be? And I kind of just started from scratch. And the first thing that God did was he reordered my priorities and it started with him.
(07:36):
Cause I am a daughter of a king. That is the number one priority, right? Number two, wife, three, my kids for my home and my health and five was this business. So here’s the biggest thing. And then I’m sure Michelle will have follow-up questions here, but it was how do I build a sustainable online business with intentional boundaries, but it still allows me to be successful in a way that I am growing me to many, instead of me person to person in an evergreen way, that’s going to grow forever. And I got those answers. Michelle, what does that bring up for you?
(08:11):
Wow. Well, what was that? I mean really, because that’s what we all want. We all think that, oh, she finally got back to me. It’s 11 o’clock at night. Well, I should get back to her right now because otherwise I don’t, she’s I’m going to lose her. And we feel like we have some sort of claim on our success when we realized no, no, no Lord, it’s all you and I can’t do it. And then you find yourself exactly like you did exactly.
(08:40):
Like I did just exhausted at that point. And that’s what led me to you, which is this evergreen, which I would love for you to share, because I think so many women are like, I was in the, had never even considered this possibility or had, and like I did kind of laughed like what, what would I have to do? So I just think you speak. So amazingly to this, this strategy that is for everyone or can be, and really allow freedom.
(09:20):
Yeah. So let me start then with the, okay, well, how do you do all those things? The very first thing I had mentioned was the boundary part. So if you don’t have these priority priorities in line and your boundaries in line, you can’t move on to what I’m going to talk to you about next, which is building basically a lead generation system that you can do using podcasting or long form content instead of social media, 24 seven.
(09:43):
So with the boundaries I want to start with, what do you really want your life to look like? Okay. And if you have the sheet of paper and you start with, okay, what is my life look like in order? And I really hope for you that those buckets are similar to mine, where it goes faith, your marriage, or your relationships, your children, if you have children or your grandkids, whatever that might mean for you.
(10:06):
Then down into your health, your home and then your business, okay? Because if we are not pouring from a full cup and showing up for the things that make us us that are our heart work, our mission work, our purpose work well, then the business stuff isn’t going to matter anyway. And I know that that’s a hard thing because you’re like, but if I was making the money, but if I just worked harder, but listen, if your priorities were in line and you were pouring into the people who needed you most.
(10:35):
And you were letting God lead you in the business in such a way where he could bring you, the people that need you bring you the leads organically, you would be making more money and you’d have a healthier marriage, motherhood, et cetera. So get those in order. The second thing you have to do is when you’re looking at your planner, put in the things that are number one, two, three, and four first in the week.
(10:57):
So you’re actually bucketing out my time with God is the first thing I write on that planner. And it’s an hour every morning and you guys, I worked up to that, okay. It took a couple years to get right where I am, but I started with 10 minutes. You can do that. Right? And then when you finally get all the things mapped out in your planner that are your, your intentional priorities, the next thing is, well, where where’s the business go?
(11:18):
So you’ve got to create time blocks in that planner that are hard stops. Office hours, literally treat your network, marketing business, like any other business on the planet. Okay. What are your office hours team? I am available Mondays from what is it? 11 to three. K. I am unavailable after 6:00 PM every single week. Now I am unavailable all day on Sunday, right?
(11:41):
What are those times? You are unavailable. Don’t negotiate. You don’t do one offs. Oh, well just this once. No hard stops. You have to first keep these promises to yourself. Why is this important? Well, number one, you can’t create a duplicatable team if you’re available 24 seven, because most people will not do that. So now you’ve scared people off from joining you because they see that what you are doing is unrealistic. The best thing you can do is model the behavior. That is, it is I can do that. Right?
(12:10):
Like I can only work a couple hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday, that feels good. All join all say yes. And it shows your team who you truly are in your heart and you start to create a ripple in their lives. So that’s what those boundaries look like. That’s, that’s what you have to do. Also, one of the things I do and I teach 24 seven in my community, as Michelle can attest to no social media on the weekends, I just heard you drop your phone, spill your coffee, spit out your kombucha. You were like, what did she just say to me?
(12:44):
You’re so right. I was like, wait, what? I’m working on this, I’m working on this, but I love the example that you said.
(12:50):
Okay. Yeah. So what I do, you guys, I delete Instagram and Facebook every Friday through Monday. And it is a non-negotiable. And guess what you’re thinking in your head? Well, I can’t build this business without social media. Guess what happened in my business? When I started deleting socials, it exploded because I don’t build my business on social media. I share about where my business lives on social, but that’s not where it lives and it exploded.
(13:16):
And now my community does it and their businesses are exploding and we are free and fresh. And we are able to pour into our families 24 seven on the weekends because social media, it’s simply a tool in my opinion, from the enemy to distract you from what actually matters. So you’re thinking to yourself, well, first, Michelle, what do you want to, is there anything you want to say on any of that? And then I’ll move into like, okay, well, how do you build a business then? Well,
(13:41):
I’m over here, like in church going preach. Amen sister, like it’s so true. And I’ve watched you and other people live this out and seen peace. And I felt it in myself over the last few months where I see every Sunday, when I get the alerts of how much my time has dropped on my phone and how much less time I’m spending on there still it’s way too much.
(14:07):
But when I look back and reflect on the week and go, wow, but I still got everything done. And the things I didn’t get done. Okay, well either I need to budget my time better or they didn’t need to get done. And if we are women who trust the Lord and we put in the time that we’re supposed to put in, then those things aren’t dependent upon me. They’re dependent on my, upon me being obedient to God.
(14:37):
He’s going to work all the rest out. That’s what you’ve like hit this light bulb moment where I’m like, gosh, yes, yes. And amen to all of that. No, I love it. And I love that your counter-culture because everyone is saying more time, more time, more time on social is going to make you more successful, more productive.
(14:58):
You need to be in all the things and you don’t. So how do you do that? How have you found obviously podcasting is where you’re spending the lion’s share of your time. How have you truly been able to put this into practice? And, and what is the plan that you lay out for, for other women? Just like, like me. Yeah.
(15:21):
So here’s the mindset shift that has to happen, especially those of you you’re are in network marketing, you sell a product, right? Skincare health and wellness stuff. You can sell home goods. Like you’re selling a thing. Well, in your mind, you’re thinking, how do I sell this thing? How do I sell this thing? I got to look for people and then sell the thing. Okay.
(15:43):
So let’s say you’re out there and you’re walking along on the street and some random person comes up to you and they’re like, oh my gosh, your skin is busted. Would you like the skincare? And you’re like hard. No. Who are you? Who are you? Number one, kind of creeping me out. Number two. That was super rude. Okay. Number three. I’m not in the market for skincare. Okay. And number four, like I’m going to run away. I’m actually just going to run. I’m not even going to answer you. Michelle’s laughing. She’s muted. She can’t get
(16:15):
A dime. I’m dying because I’m like, your skin is busted. We’ve never met, but you girl, you got a problem. And clearly you’re going to want to buy with me because I’m amazing. Yeah,
(16:28):
Exactly. This is literally what you guys are doing when you join network marketing and you’re on social or texting people randomly about the thing that you sell. Let me just wreck everything you know about sales right now. It’s not about the theme that you sell. Not about the sales. It’s about the service, the free solutions to people only when they trust you. Let me say that again for those of you in the back.
(16:59):
Okay. Sales is not about selling a thing randomly. It’s about serving somebody who you get to trust you. So in order for us to make big fruitful, five and six figure businesses, selling products or even services, we first have to solve people’s problems for free and get them to trust us. Okay? Here are your three options to do that. Okay? Ready? Number one, you can blog. Number two, you can do video and not video on social.
(17:31):
You have to own it like a YouTube channel or number three, a podcast. That’s it. Those are long form content. So let me give you another example. Okay. You’re walking along the street and you see your friend, Michelle Castro. She’s walking up to you. Oh my God. Last week, Michelle brought over to you some free samples. When you guys went out to coffee to try this awesome skin cream, she didn’t pitch it to you or anything.
(18:00):
She said, I have some extra samples. Do you want them left it super cash? Then you were like, oh my gosh, Michelle, I did notice my skin was feeling better. And she was like, oh, that’s awesome. Look, I did a YouTube video last week, all about how to use that product or how to get blackheads out of your nose. You know, when your nose is like so covered in blackheads and it’s disgusting.
(18:17):
I did a YouTube on that. I’ll shoot it your way. She texted that to you. Okay. So you and Michelle have already been vibing. Well, she walks up to you on the street and you’re like, oh my gosh, girl, by the way, look, I don’t have any blackheads on my nose. And you’re so excited. Right? And then Michelle was like, that’s awesome stuff. If you want the rest of the product line, let me know, by the way, what are you doing out here?
(18:39):
Walking on the street. Right? So she’s super normal. She’s already solved my problems with free value. She has sent me videos or an audio clip or podcast episode that had something to do with what she markets. And then she left the, what? I mark it as an afterthought. After she had solved my problems and made me trust her.
(19:03):
When she walks up to me on the street, I’m not feeling weird. I feel like she also gave me an out by saying, if you want whatever, let me know I’m here. It was super casual. So it’s a win-win I’m like, by the way, I want to buy them all because I love you. You weren’t weird towards me. You solved my problems. And I just like you, right? Like ultimately people are only going to buy from you if they like you.
(19:22):
So here’s the big wrench in what this visual is. I just gave you, how do you find a bunch of people that you get to solve all their problems for free? And they ask you to buy your stuff. Right? Guys, it’s not cold marketing on the internet. It’s not walking around the mall, sling in your creams or whatnot. Believe me. I used to live this life.
(19:43):
I know how awful that is. It’s not hitting up your waiter at the restaurant. It’s not going to convert. Cause you’re the stranger on the street. Okay. What’s going to convert. Is you using long form? So Michelle doing this podcast right now, she’s teaching, helping inspiring, transforming all of you. Network marketers. You’re having success, a breakthrough. You’re growing in your faith and in your belief.
(20:07):
You’re getting it right now learning sales and marketing for me and you’re going, oh my gosh, I think I can do this. Starting to trust Michelle as your expert. Well, when Michelle in the future has an amazing course for you on how to blow up them MLM or whatever her course is going to be. You’re going to be like, oh my gosh, I’ve been waiting because I believe in Michelle. I trust her this right now, what Michelle and I are doing.
(20:33):
This is growing her audience. So imagine for you, if you sell the skincare, what if you started a podcast that was all about confidence and transforming how you feel about yourself from the inside out or non-toxic awesome. Skincare. Like the nontoxic detox, busy mama show. And you’re doing this free stuff that helps this mom see that she can live detox, detox. Toxin-free see how to get started with healthy, clean makeup. And then you’re like, oh, by the way, I have a makeup line. I promote. If you’re interested, shoot me a DM.
(21:08):
Well, that’s how you grow an everlasting funnel of leads. You can do it. Podcasting is my favorite. Obviously Michelle’s favorite. Cause we can pause this mic. We don’t have to look all gorgeous right now. Michelle does. She has in her closet and it’s all about like authenticity versus video for me is a little bit more like I have to get ready. It takes way more time to edit. Blogging. Heck no, your girl don’t got time to write. So you got to pick one. What are you going to do, Michelle? What does this bring up for you?
(21:37):
Well, it, the first time I heard you mentioned podcasting, it was like, what in the world? Like that that’s insane and brilliant all at the same time and everything that you just said is everything I was trying to do. But you just feel like, how can you be different? And if that’s what we’re trying to do here is to be that unicorn then podcasting is such a brilliant way to set you apart from all of those things. I just think it’s, it’s something that most people are probably not even considering because they think it’s for that person.
(22:17):
For, it’s not for me, it’s for somebody else. What I love is that we are moms who are looking for ways to be the most effective and efficient with our time and for our families. This is something that’s checking so many boxes that you probably didn’t even realize you wanted checked and that you can authentically show up and do it in a way that’s so unique and powerful. And I would just love for you to tell people how they can really tap into that with the courses that you offer, because they’ve been such a watershed for me and I’m on two of the three and number three starts up on Thursday and I can’t wait, but they’re so powerful.
(23:02):
So tell everyone what it is that you offer to really solve practically solve their problems if this is what they want to do. Right. And let me say this to you all.
(23:14):
Right now in today’s day and age, how many other network marketers do, you know? Right? There are millions and millions of millions, so many, and how many they’re doing the same that you’re doing. Like look around any of your events. There’s hundreds. If not thousands of people selling the same product as you and I don’t know any network marketer, who’s like I got in to just hit net zero.
(23:37):
Like I just want to make, you know, maybe a few, but you guys want a profit, right? Like you need to stand out in order to this successful. You can’t just be another I’m slagging oils. It’s not going to work. You only know the same 20 people your whole life. Like once those 20 people buy from you, it’s all over honey, unless you get lucky. And grandma Louise is like, I know all the people at bingo I’m signing it.
(24:01):
Like you have to keep the leads coming in. So how do you do that without being creepy, weird or exhausted or spending thousands of dollars on ads, you have to have a platform that serves in solves for free. That is SEO rich. And all that means is the titles are converting and bringing people in a marketing plan to get that podcast into the world. And then you let it work for you. It’s not overnight. Okay.
(24:27):
But within a year at a minimum, I mean at a maximum, you’re going to have people constantly in the DM. Oh my gosh. Your episode on how to detox your life, using your lemon oil, transform my home. Like which lemon oil do you recommend? Here’s my link sister. Every day, you’re going to have those leads coming in. This is the way of the future. You can no longer grow a thriving big successful business without a lead funnel.
(24:55):
That’s what the podcast is. Okay. So I wanted to clarify it’s the lead funnel. We’re not just doing it for free for fun. Sure. It’s fun. And yeah, it’s very easy to do. Okay. You sit behind the mic. You record, you can edit yourself. It’s not a big overhead. It’s very, very simple guys. But you have to have that thing that brings the people in.
(25:16):
And then when they like and trust you, that’s why they’re going to pick you and your oils or your skincare, your makeup, or your whatever’s over the thousands of other people that they know that sells the same thing as you. Okay. That’s the why you have to do this. And I don’t think you have a choice to be honest, but you can pick video. You can pick blog and you can pick podcasting. So why not social media? Can I answer that question for them, Michelle?
(25:38):
Oh, absolutely. Please do
(25:41):
Guys. Here’s the truth. You don’t own social media. Okay. You’re going to get on there and post about your thing. Along with the hundreds of other people that are all on social media to sell themselves. Like my thing, like my post buy my product, click my link. You’re fighting in this hardcore real estate market when you’re on Instagram or Facebook. Okay. People are on there going push, push, push, push, maybe one person’s over there.
(26:07):
Like I’m trying to shop well, here’s an am algorithms against you. You post, it shows up for five minutes, girl. It’s dead. It is dead. And not to mention, oh, don’t get me started. You’re doing the reels for three hours. No. Hey, okay please. I’m not judging you, but I’m kind of am for three hours to make a little reel. That’s five seconds where you point to things and it doesn’t convert.
(26:31):
Y’all are wasting your time. In three hours, you could have three podcast episodes, fully edited up on the platform that are going to bring people to the yard over and over and over for years. So social media is hurting your productivity. It’s hurting your business and it’s not expanding your sales. Now, what is, well, you hop on over to the podcast app. You guys create an episode in that same timeframe, way less actually. Well you title it, right? You have the SEO in there, which I teach you all the things.
(27:02):
And we’ll talk about that in a sec. And someone searches for that term. Your podcast pops up for years. There’s no algorithm hiding you. You own that content. So you could take it, put it anywhere you want yours. And people are there to shop. People are on the podcast app going, I’m here to buy. I’m here to learn. They’re hands are out. You’re in this perfect real estate market where you’re the only one selling. Now we’re talking
(27:31):
Now. That’s I think it’s important to understand the distinction between social marketing, social media is fantastic, but it’s a tool. It’s not the main thing. Use it for what it will. I just heard today or yesterday that there, the algorithm changed yet again. Where if you have the words like link offer something like that. Like Facebook, banjo, I’m so against the whole copy paste culture. And I am happy about this. One thing. If the algorithm recognizes that this is identical to other posts, it hides it, it stops it.
(28:09):
So I’m pro that one, but it’s just a tool and there’s always got to be something that your main thing and then everything else falls underneath that. And that’s what I love is, is you’ve shifted my focus to realize like social media is great to do what I want it to do. But how many times do you go on to search one thing? And all of a sudden now you’re, I don’t know, 20 minutes later. And you’re looking at the 400 cookie fill thing, unrelated to what you’re like, I was looking up this, but no, it’s a fantastic tool, but that’s it.
(28:49):
Yeah. Promotion tool. So if your main thing is the podcast and you have the episode on, I’m keep thinking of different examples. Let’s say you sell a fitness wear and you have the episode on like two hacks to buying, you know, yoga pants that stay up or whatever you want to do. And you have the episode. And they say, by the way, I saw the most incredible act of where ever that you’ve ever, ever, ever, ever seen in your whole life.
(29:15):
It’s buttery soft. It’s less than 20 bucks per pants, whatever, get him ideas. I’ll let you know about it. Well, people are over there ready to listen and you can hop on over to Facebook and Instagram and say, I have a brand new episode, it’s three hacks to, you know, mom, yoga pants that hide your Hydroflask, whatever it is. Right. And so they click the thing it’s promoting over to the main platform.
(29:38):
It gets them out of distraction on social too. I’m here to learn. So how do you do this? Okay. Yes. Tell us, step one. You have to have clarity on your brand. You can’t start a podcast without understanding what do you actually do? Not what product you sell? Not what network marketing business are you with? What do you actually do on a big picture service perspective? Who do you serve?
(30:07):
And then how do you serve her? What are the legs of the business going to be? So if you’re selling essential oils, are you going to have the detox, happy mama podcast brand? And you’re going to talk about oils. One leg. Do you talk to me in the home led to leg three is healthy cleaning products, whatever, right? Like what are you actually going to teach? So in there, that’s my first tier, which is called clarify your calling.
(30:29):
And I have a course for that. Michelle will link her links below. If you guys are interested, if you’re like, oh my gosh, I don’t know you. You’re the weirdo on the street right now selling me courses. Guys, just come listen to my podcasts. There’s hours of free stuff. You can, you know, dip your toe in the water or not like, we’re not spamming you right now. We’re just telling you the process. Okay? Well,
(30:47):
They’re going to fall in love with you right now. Like I just like I did and be like consume it all. And I will say after clarify your calling, I messaged staff right after I was in a store. Somebody asked, what do you do? And I messaged her.
(31:00):
I was like staff for the first time. In six years, I said, I help mamas in the network marketing space, lean into who they are uniquely by created by God to show up and do what they need to do without looking like everybody else. I was like in the first, that was the first time in six years, I knew it. It was a four week. It’s a four week class. It’s fan tastic.
(31:24):
It’s so good to be. It’s priceless to be able to stay. What do I actually do without saying, I just sell a product. That’s the difference of how people perceive you to write? If Michelle was like, oh, I sell network marketing courses and have a, she it’s. She made it about her person. She made it about all of you. And she got that clarity in this exact course. So after that course, when you get the clarity, what do I do?
(31:48):
What is my podcast going to be called? What’s my tagline. What’s my description. What am I going to talk about? What are my topics going to be? You move into step two, which is to start a podcast. And I have a course for that, which is called podcast pro university. Now don’t start step two without clarity, please. Cause you’re going to start the show and it’s going to be a little, you know what I’m saying?
(32:08):
Like a little, all over the place. Let’s reign it in. We need a niche. We need clarity. Okay. So that’s step two is to start the show and I’ll teach you all the things, the tech, the recording, the editing, the how tos, the, how do you get the SEO and the titles to work for you so that it brings people in. How do you actually sell on this podcast without being salesy? All of that’s in that course. Okay. So that’s step one.
(32:34):
And step two later, after you ladies have the show going and you’re actively promoting, you want, there is a step three, which teaches you how to create courses to monetize your podcast. Now that’s an additional bonus thing. You don’t have to have that because all of you listening have a product line. But I think it’s a great idea because why not have something else and other additional income streams. So that’s something you can look at down the road, but for right now, number one is get that clarity. Number two is start that show. This is how you scale something. No one else can touch. No one else can copy.
(33:09):
No one can be you. And if you’re like, I don’t know what I would talk about. I don’t know what that thing would be. That would lead them to buying the products. That’s a clarify, your calling does
(33:18):
It took all of those ideas and then you do it in such a, a great way to niche down and really understand what is it. And your process is really so cleansing, so clarifying for each of us to see what is most important and then, okay, so here’s what I’m skilled at. Here’s, here’s what I’m passionate about. Now, let me lean into that more. Here’s what I do. Here’s the product I have. How does this all work together?
(33:50):
I just had light bulb after light bulbs doing this. It was honestly first and foremost, it allowed me to look at God’s word in a different way than I really ever had. And I’ve been fortunate to walk with Jesus pretty much my whole life. So that when, when I think about clarify your calling, the way that you start, it is so important to understand who God is and who he sees us as.
(34:17):
I just thank you so much. And I’ve told you this multiple times, thank you for listening to the Lord. Thank you for leaning in and really doing what he’s called you to do because you are impacting so many women and men out there and children, because these mamas are leaning into what God wants us to do, and we are more effective for our families and it has a legacy effect. So I am so thankful for you.
(34:51):
In one last question I have for you is just one word of wisdom or encouragement because you have seen hundreds and hundreds of women who are on this side of clarify your calling and the whole idea of podcasting and what is just one thing you would love to encourage them in aside from everything you already have, but after, you know, you see all these women and you probably see some common threads, what is it that you would want to say to her? Sure.
(35:23):
So I guess the first, the first thing that just instinctually popped into my heart right now was Jeremiah 29 11, which is, I know the plans I have for you. And it’s so I know scissors, it’s so hard to go. How would I evenly bat in faith? How would I step out? Would I do any of the stuff that Michelle and separate talking about right now? Because
(35:42):
I don’t know the outcome, will it work? Who am I? I don’t know what I would talk about. Like all the, what ifs will creep into your heart. But you have to remember that your plans for you, they pale in comparison to God’s plans for your life. And he already has books predestined for you, books that are written about you from before you were even born with your destiny, your calling work. And all you have to do is say yes and amen.
(36:07):
Like I’m here to go from call to chosen. I’m ready, God partner with me in that and open that up with that prayer and that intentional desire for God to show you what he has in store for your life. And then the best thing you can do is step out in action. I mean, it’s all about the holy spirit will work when you step out, okay.
(36:28):
We can’t stay hidden and wait for the direction. So it’s taking that big scrappy action and letting God lead your steps. And then the final thing here is that the joy is in the journey. We constantly, I think as online entrepreneurs, we’re going, when I hit blank, you know, when I hit that rank, when I get that next level, when I make the money doing X, Y, Z, it’s not the, when you it’s the right now, it’s in the moment it’s letting the kids be part of the business.
(36:58):
Stop pressuring yourself to get somewhere so quickly that you miss the road because the road is where the flowers bloom. It’s not the finish line. It’s on the road. You know, the rebel in the road. Those are the moments, the tests that will become the testimony. You can’t miss it. And there’s no joy without the journey. So just relax, rest in to his plans for you and let it all go and let God.
