Stef Gass: So let’s meet Lisa. Welcome to the podcast, my friend. I’m so happy you’re here.

Lisa Limehouse: Oh, thank you, Stefanie, for having me. It’s exciting to be back with you again.

Stef Gass: It is so exciting. How long has it been since you were in Podcast to Profit?

Lisa Limehouse: It’s hard to believe but it’s been over two years. Time has flown. And now that everything has exploded, it flies even quicker.

Stef Gass: That is unbelievable. I can’t wait to hear all about your group coaching and podcast downloads. I think it’s fun to hear from people who are at the end of Podcast to Profit or just graduated. It’s also fun to hear from those who have lived out the process and the framework for years.

There are so many questions people have. We’re going to get to all of that in today’s conversation. Let’s begin with you. What do you do? Tell us a bit about your podcast.

LISA’S CALLING

Lisa Limehouse: My podcast is called Beauty Beyond Betrayal. My tagline is: Hope and Healing for Christian Women and Couples. I help Christian women and couples heal from the devastating effects of marital betrayal.

Stef Gass: What a powerful calling.

Lisa Limehouse: It has become a calling. Since I started Podcast to Profit two years ago, I felt the Lord niched my mission to help restore a million marriages. We’re seeing it day in and day out.

Stef Gass: What an amazing blessing to have clarity for what you’re called to do. God is using your trial. It’s not just a testimony but a thing you bring to the world that creates restoration. Talk about a redemption story.

Lisa Limehouse: One hundred percent!

Lisa’s Journey from Betrayal to Healing

Stef Gass: So good! Do you remember how you found me? Please share that story.

Lisa Limehouse: Several years ago, I started listening to podcasts on the fly and yours came into my podcast feed. I thought, ‘this sounds interesting.’

During that time, I was still in full-time ministry. I was doing in-person speaking. I didn’t know I would go through my own betrayal journey and trials. That put a halt on things for a while.

Then your podcast came and I started listening. I remember thinking, ‘if I ever consider going down the podcast road one day, I have a resource.’ So, I parked it. Then lo and behold, I entered into my betrayal journey. And while I was in the healing portion of it, the Lord spoke to my heart and said, I want you to start a podcast. I had no clue how to do it.

I’m one of those radically obedient women. If God has called me to do it, I will do it!

What I started with I wouldn’t even call a brand. There was no rank. I piecemealed it together. After months and months, I was stuck at five hundred downloads. I told God, “I don’t know what I’m doing.”

So, I opened my phone, pulled up a podcast, and guess who showed up? There you were! I went on a listening binge. You were promoting Podcast to Profit. I asked God, “Do I need to do this?” That’s how I found you I learned about Podcast to Profit.

LISTEN TO GOD’S CALL

Stef Gass: That’s interesting. Do you remember a moment where you went from, should I do this, to, I think I’m supposed to do this? At that moment, what were you thinking? You knew I had a program. Did you look for ways to do Podcast to Profit? Talk us through that.

Lisa Limehouse: When I first listened to you, I tried to DIY some things myself. Everybody does. Even my clients try to DIY now – you can’t do it. I tried but it didn’t work out.

I thought, wait a minute, there is a better way. Stef is telling me there is a better way. And what better way than to follow in the footsteps of someone who has been there and has a proven roadmap? And I can follow this step by step. That’s when I reached out and I applied.

When I found out about the calls, I’ll be honest, I was nervous. This was a huge investment for me. I knew I was going to have to shift and sacrifice some things. But I knew if God is calling me to do this, He will make a way. And so I took the plunge!

Stef Gass: You did it! You took the plunge! Have you ever invested in any programs or courses before, Lisa?

Lisa Limehouse: Yes!

No Success with Other Coaching Programs

Stef Gass: Talk to us about that because I think that’s where people’s fears come in. They have invested in something before and it didn’t help them get where they wanted. Can you speak to that?

Lisa Limehouse: I had invested in a couple of coaching programs before. I didn’t look at those investments while I was in Podcast to Profit. But once I started seeing success in your group coaching program, I looked back, and I had spent almost twenty thousand dollars before I got to you.

But I never had success. Looking back, I recognized some of the programs I had invested in didn’t have a step-by-step process or roadmap. They weren’t clear-cut like Podcast to Profit. Those are the reasons I never followed through with any of them.

Stef Gass: Why do you think that is? To invest twenty thousand dollars, you would think every potential step and roadmap would be included. What was missing from those group coaching programs? Why wasn’t it a step-by-step framework that you could follow?

LISA NEEDED A GROUP COACHING PROGRAM

Lisa Limehouse: I was showing up to be coached, and they were coaching me on the fly. It was a one-on-one type of mentorship. There was no:

• Roadmap
• Step-by-step program
• Workbooks to download
• Weekly coaching calls

I wanted a group coaching program that took me by the hand and showed me how it’s done. That’s what Podcast to Profit did for me. I’m a very challenge-oriented person. I’m a type-A personality.

When I came into the program, I saw the structure and how it was all laid out. Then, once a week, we had time with you. Even if I didn’t have a question, I was learning from the other students. Podcast to Profit is created for success. If you follow the program, you will succeed.

Group Coaching is More Than Selling

Stef Gass: I love that you bring this up because not every group coaching program is this way. What I see are coaches hyper-focused on selling. They do a fantastic job, but it leaves less for them to build a robust execution for people who invest.

Either you find coaches that are good at strategy, and so they’ll tell you, here’s the what. Or they’re good at one tiny pocket of online business – like let’s learn just email marketing or just course creation.

The problem is you can’t take one corner of the Internet and have a successful business. It’s a holistic thing. There are multiple steps.

A LOGICAL FRAMEWORK

Like you’re saying, it’s a framework. There’s a logical order to follow. You need more than strategy. You need people who are in the weeds with you looking at:

• Sales pages
• Email copy
• Reasons why your podcast isn’t growing

That’s where my coaches come in. They are my detail people. I love that you bring this up because there might be someone reading this who has invested in programs like you did. They did it, and nothing worked. Maybe it didn’t work because the program wasn’t what they needed.

It’s okay to admit you have invested in something that wasn’t exactly what you needed.

When you take the next step in faith, you trust the Lord has infinite resources because He always redeems. You should invest because this is the thing you need and want.

Lisa, you had spent twenty thousand dollars! You could have easily said, “No. I’m not investing another dollar. I don’t believe in it.” But you trusted God because He led you to me. My podcast wouldn’t have shown up randomly in your feed and then again on the day you needed it. I hear this all the time.

There is no confusion with God! He is so faithful. I love that you bring this up.

Lisa’s Experience in Podcast to Profit

Stef Gass: So, you get into the program. You move some things around and take a big leap of faith. What was the program like? You’ve done some programs before. I heard you say it was organized but tell us specifically how you felt. What was your experience like in the first couple of months?

Lisa Limehouse: It was exhilarating! When I started the program, there was a step-by-step system I could follow every week. Each step is built on the other. For example, it led you from starting a podcast to creating a tagline to SEO. The structure was so detailed. It didn’t leave me floundering.

That was my difficulty with all of the other programs. I floundered. There was always something missing. I never floundered in Podcast to Profit. I knew where I was going next and what I needed to execute. And if I struggled, I could come to group coaching and work it out with someone to get me back on track.

Six weeks into the program, things started blowing up for me. Before the program ended, I had coaching clients. I was building my group coaching program.

Everything inside of Podcast to Profit was a step-by-step ‘how-to’ process of what I needed to get my podcast up and running and build a successful business. I never thought I would have that.

Lisa Trusted God and Stef

Stef Gass: That’s so good. As you’re in Podcast to Profit, were there things that challenged and stretched you in new ways? Did you question any of the strategies?

Lisa Limehouse: When you mentioned branding, you said, “I’m going to stretch some of you. Do not try to do this yourself in Canva.”

Stef Gass: Everyone’s eyes started twitching when I said that. Not just you.

Lisa Limehouse: “It‘s worth the investment.” All I heard was the word investment. Wait a minute! I’m going to have to invest again? But I trusted you. I knew God had put you in my path. You were the answer to my prayer. So, I didn’t hesitate, I took the jump and invested.

We were told, “Don’t put out a tagline that’s willy-nilly; no, no, no.” We’re going to look at keywords and phrases. You would say, “Trust me on this.” When we narrowed all of that down, things blew up for me. By my eight-week mark, my podcast was in the top two percent. I was like, ‘what’s happening here?’

Lisa’s Success During Podcast to Profit

Stef Gass: This is so fun. So let’s talk about that. You loved the program but it was a leap of faith. You felt it was structured where you never got stuck and left behind. There was always someone to help you.

As you put these pieces into place, you say you were having success during the program. I would love to hear more about that. What wins did you have? Also, it’s been two years since you were in the program. What has happened since then? Talk about the success this program has brought to your group coaching program.

Lisa Limehouse: I remember when I was in the program, I got to five hundred downloads and that was an elation for me. But then, towards the end of the program, I was top two percent downloads and I thought ‘this is amazing!’

Stef Gass: That is amazing!

Lisa Limehouse: Then you told us to do five free coaching calls. I struggled with that and asked, “Why not charge?” And you said, “Trust me. There’s a reason for this.” I trusted you, and by the time the program ended, I had five new clients, with more people signing up!

Over the last two years, I have always heard you in my ear. I remember you saying, “You must be committed for two years. Don’t you dare think about quitting.”

DETAILS OF LISA’S GROWTH

After two years, you can go to Apple podcasts and type, “affair recovery,” and I’m the first one there. It’s all because of everything you taught me. Here are some of the amazing things that have happened:

• Over 132,000 podcast downloads
• Listened to in seventy-eight countries
• Waitlist for VIP coaching
• Group coaching program that’s sold out
• Women’s group coaching program
• Couple’s group coaching program
• Email open rate of fifty-six percent
• Hired first employee
• Asked to speak at women’s conferences

When I started with you, I had no coaching program or roadmap to make it work. The business has blown up. The most exciting thing about this is I’ve replaced my salary and my husband is retiring to work with me in the couple’s program. We call it Marriage Redesigned.

Generational Legacy

Stef Gass: You asked God to show you the way, the person, and the program. You asked God, “help me with the finances and let me walk this out in obedience.” You did all of that. He has prepared you to receive these people that you and your husband are meant to steward and shepherd. I am in awe of Him and you.

To be that obedient and focused on what God is asking is hard. It’s hard to trust and believe that it will make sense. It’s hard to remove what you think and hear and trust in a framework when you don’t even know if it’s going to work.

Is this going to work? But because God positioned you that way, you walked it out. I’m over the moon for you. Those stats are huge! My brain is on the floor. I’m so happy for you.

SUCCESS ON HEAVEN’S TIMELINE

This is just the beginning, Lisa. I know it feels like this is it. But let me tell you, God is positioning you and your husband for an absolute kingdom breakthrough. This is legacy!

What you and your husband are doing goes far beyond your understanding. Yes, you are repairing marriages, but you are repairing bloodlines and generations. Things are happening on heaven’s timeline because of your yes. I applaud you. I’m proud of you and in awe of how God works.

Lisa Limehouse: I’m forever grateful when I asked God to show me the way, He put you in my path.

I tell people there was a woman God decided He would use. Your faithfulness is a part of this legacy. If He had not positioned you, I wouldn’t be here. It is a massive ripple effect.

I have the privilege of working with psychologists and therapists around the country we tag team with. It’s amazing what God did through Podcast to Profit. Because of the structure you offered there, we are positioned for success and can change hurting families.

Connecting With Lisa

Stef Gass: Lisa, my heart bursts for you. If someone is on the fence, whether it’s finances or time, what is the Holy Spirit leading you to say to them?

Lisa Limehouse: If you think you need to start a podcast, you might be afraid:

• What will your family say?
• What will your husband say?
• What about finances?
• I’ve tried this before.

I will tell you God has led you here. He will make a way where there seems to be none. Radically step out on that foot of faith. Trust the all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-providing God because He will do this! I am a living testimony of His faithfulness. There are so many of Stef’s students doing the same.

Trust God! Take the step! Do it now! You’ll never regret it!
