She Got Her First Coaching Client the Day Her Offer Launched

I want you to meet a student of mine, Rosa Alejandro. In our interview together, she shares how she got her first coaching client the day that her offer went live. It’s such an amazing accomplishment! The moment she opened her mouth to release her coaching client offer, a sale came in. That is the power behind having a highly converting podcast. Through the podcast, you can create warm leads who are ready to buy from you through your funnel.

There’s so much to learn from Rosa’s launch story and how she grew her podcast to over 15,000 downloads as a Podcast to Profit (P2P) student graduate. We are going to get deep into the strategies she used, to get her to this point in her online business journey, so you can follow in her footsteps.

The Most Important Step to Starting a Podcast

When you are thinking of starting a podcast, remember the most important step is getting started. From there, it’s important that you stay clear and you are extremely specific with your niche. Also, remember to stay consistent and disciplined when it comes to content creation and production. And lastly, stick to one core offer — an offer that is clear and not confusing to your audience. Once you have that in place, learn the best sales strategies, which I teach you inside Podcast to Profit (P2P). And then, you just need to rinse and repeat. This is the model I teach all my students inside my mastermind program, P2P. I’m excited to share about Rosie’s experience inside Podcast to Profit. Let’s jump right into the interview. 

Following Your Calling to Create an Online Business

Stef: Hi Rosa, welcome!

Rosa: Hi, Stefanie. Thanks for having me. It’s so good to be here.

Stef: I’m excited because today we are going to be talking about your journey. You have incredible wins in your podcasting journey, but let’s start with what it is that you do and what your podcast is called.

Rosa: Full-time, I am an educator at a public school. I am a middle school Social Studies teacher.  Plus, I do coaching on the side. I help Christian women develop a Bible study routine and find the ideal time to do that. Creating a time block is one of the biggest struggles they have in creating a Bible study routine. I help them be more consistent.

Stef: That’s absolutely incredible! You have two big callings in your life.

Taking the Next Step in Creating Your Coaching Business

Stef: You are a Podcast to Profit student and have worked with me before joining that program. 

How did that all begin? Take them on a journey on how you found me, and then ultimately what made you want to join Podcast to Profit.

Rosa: You were a suggestion on Apple Podcast when I was listening to another entrepreneurship show. 

Stef: What made you want to join the program? You listened to the show and then we did a quick coaching call together. 

Rosa:  I won a coaching session with you by being involved in your Facebook group. 

Stef: Did that coaching call lead you to the next steps?

Roas: I had already decided I was going to join P2P because God blessed me with the money.

Fears Around Investing In Yourself and A Mastermind

Stef: What were your fears or roadblocks to joining? You wanted to join, but I heard you say that the finances came in. Was there any other fear that was keeping you from taking that leap initially before the finances came in?

Rosa: Initially, I was concerned about how I was going to find the time to do it. It seemed to me that students would have to dig deep and stay very committed to the time requirements. I started to pray about it and think about how it would work with my schedule. Eventually, I was able to figure out a way for it to work. Plus, God provided the money for me at the right time. Along with that, I was able to cover some of the cost and participate in an internship with you as well, which was a great experience. God just put all the pieces together as He always does. 

Stef: As He always does! I love that so much.

Time Management For Online Business Owners

Stef: You end up getting into P2P. What was the program like? One of the concerns you had was time. How did you make it work with the time you had? What was your favorite part?

Rosa: Even though I was on summer vacation from my teaching job for more than half of P2P, I still was busy with my daughter at home. My husband helped me when he could help. I just set a time every morning to work on P2P. Plus I worked during nap times. That’s really how I made it work with my schedule. 

And even when we started back into the school year, I still had more time left in P2P to finish the program. I had to find ways to get the work done no matter what. At that time, I was just starting the process of launching my new coaching program. I prayed a lot. I asked God to help me and give me strength. It worked out great and we made it happen. The launch went through and it went great. I had to prioritize God first and then have those time blocks set up for the Podcast to Profit program.

Reasons Why Rosa Loved Being a Part of the Mastermind

Stef: I think it’s going to be that way with anything that you decide to do. You decide to go all in on this thing, and you are going to be intentional about making that a priority in your life. You’re focused on making it happen. You choose to have the right conversations with your family that are purpose-seeking with an end goal in mind. It’s worth it to be able to dive into something with excellence and with all that you have. You knew it was going produce really incredible results and you pursued it. Which is what I would love to know. What happened for you through the P2P program? Please share your wins.

Rosa: Before I share my wins I want to share my favorite part of the P2P program first. I love the coaching! Getting coaching from you, and the other coaches, was absolutely amazing. I also loved listening to you coach other students. I would take notes at the bottom of my notebook to see what applied to me. There was always something that did apply to me. Even to this day when I go into the other live coaching calls that you do in the student community, I always get something out of it. Also, you have an amazing team. If I asked a question, it gets answered within 24 hours, and sometimes even less than two hours. Your team was so great.

Coaching Client Wins That Followed After Joining a Mastermind

Rosa: To answer your question about my wins: about halfway through the program I was already at the top 1.5% of podcasts and I started the program at 5%. I implemented the things that you were teaching, then I started to see the downloads go up and up. That’s one of the things that I’m most proud of — watching the growth happen so fast. 

Right now, I average around 1,200-1,500 downloads a month which compared to before, I was in the hundreds. 

Currently, I’m at over 15,000 downloads. The first year I was lucky to get about 800 downloads. I didn’t find you yet, but once I started listening to you and implementing some of the things you taught, the downloads started to go up. There’s nothing better than being coached by you in P2P. And the structure inside the program is amazing. It makes all the difference. Your program is unlike any other program. 

You also have the lesson recordings in your program where you talk about how to create a Facebook group. That really helped me. I went back and created a new podcast cover, but this time I had branding, which made a big difference. Right as I was finishing P2P, I changed my cover and changed the title of the group, which made it more searchable. All of a sudden my Facebook group started to increase by 405% in members. I started to get 3-4 people requesting to be in the group a day. They found me through the podcast and searching on Facebook.

Also, when I did my launch for my coaching program, I got my first client that very first day. It worked! And, I recently had two more women reach out to me to find out about coaching who found me through the podcast.

First Coaching Client Sale Comes From Podcast Funnel

Stef: Congratulations! Your business is now exploding with downloads and seeing exponential growth after struggling with that first year of doing it on your own. You have proven that the funnel works. The online business that you created over the past six months revamping the brand to your podcast, seeing the podcast grow, and now you have leads come in and you are securing more clients. 

Now, all we do is more of the same! You get to show up with peace in your heart, be present in your life, and spend more time with your family. You get to rinse and repeat. 

That’s the entire dream of setting up a passive revenue business from a podcast. 

Having Clarity in Your Online Business

Rosa: Just to know what I am supposed to be doing and having that clarity is wonderful. Knowing what God wants me to do is such a great feeling. It’s such a great victory. I give God all the glory.

Stef: Amen. Thank you for sharing your incredible testimony. What would you say to anybody who’s on the fence about Podcast to Profit?

Rosa: I would say you have to do it and join P2P. If money is an obstacle, pray. God will provide the means. He will because when it’s your time, nothing can stop it. Nothing can stop God. You have to believe that He’s going to provide a way.
