Word of the year is what we’re focusing on in this episode.
That’s it. It’s Over. We are DONE.
With 2021 that is. Haha! This year was a test in many ways. A test of my PERSEVERANCE. A test of my resilience, and a test of my trust in Him to get me to the other side of some hard things. And… won’t He do it?!
Here I sit with so many blessings born out of the hard. I truly couldn’t be more grateful for this journey. I keep experiencing His faithfulness and love in deeper, new ways and it’s just surreal. Doing life and business with Abba at the center is the only way.
In today’s show, I walk you through my full 2021 recap. I share with you my goals, tell you if I hit them or not, what worked in 2021, what didn’t work, what was hard, and then I share what is CHANGING for next year. What new goals have I set and what my new word of the year is. Buckle up.
I hope you’re ready to hear all the things… I’m currently nursing a vulnerability hangover from this one. Ha! Enjoy and let’s leap into the best year, yet. Love ya.
I pray this blesses you.
FULL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTION:
(00:00):
Hey, friend! I cannot believe I’m about to record for you my 2021 recap and my 2022 goals. It’s been such a crazy year on so many levels, just so many levels, there have been great things that happened, there have been really hard things that happened, and I am going to share all of it with you on today’s episode.
(00:22):
We’re gonna be going through my 2021 goals. Did I hit them? Did I not hit them? You’re gonna hear all the numbers, podcast download numbers, income numbers, all the things I’m gonna share for you. What changed in 2021?
(00:37):
What was hard this year? What wasn’t working or didn’t work for me this year and what’s changing for next year. And we have quite a few changes coming up. And then at the end of the show, I’m gonna be sharing for you my new goals, revenue goals, download goals, growth goals, et cetera, and my word of the year. Let’s do it.
(01:58):
Let’s dig in. I hope you guys are pumped for a little inside sneak peek at the back end of the Stefanie Gass business. I’m gonna be bearing all for you today. And, you know, I really went back and forth between, should I actually share, download numbers and revenue numbers and projections and things of that nature.
(02:19):
But as I sat with that, I decided that I totally should because there’s something to be said for showing up for God’s size dreams and doing the hard things and sitting in the messy middle for almost a decade. And then finally, getting to the other side and for you guys to see that that is absolutely possible and that you can walk in my footsteps.
(02:49):
And also that when we experience God’s provision in favor, we can do really exceptional things for the kingdom of God. And that’s why we can steward his wealth. His wealth, not ours. That’s how we can steward impact through downloads on the show.
(03:09):
And I don’t think that we should have any kinda weirdness around talking about money and success because it’s all for the glory of God, and He’s given it to us. And so I decided that we’re gonna totally go there today. So I hope you’re ready for so much, I’m gonna have a vulnerability hangover, once we’re done with today’s episode, that is for sure.
(03:31):
First of all, let’s talk about the 2021 goals that I had and did I actually hit them? What went down in the goal section of my business? So I had a goal to hit 600,000 podcast downloads in total cumulatively this year and we have surpassed it. We are actually at 650,000 downloads for the show, which is so cool. Just so fun.
(03:57):
It’s so funny, I don’t even know if that’s good or bad. I have no idea. I’m just here for growth, for impact. I am here to serve. I’m here to be a steward of the calling that I had three years ago in October of 2018, when I had a dream, start a podcast. I am just podcasting and doing what the Lord asks.
(04:19):
And so those 650,000 listens are a blessing. Every single one of them is just a confirmation that when we are obedient in the calling that we have there’s fruit on the other side of it and each and every one of you, you’re the blessing. It’s being able to connect with you and, and pour into you and help you get clarity and build a profitable online business. Like that’s what I’m here for. So I feel so great about hitting that goal.
(04:49):
My revenue goal was 500,000 as a complete business, as a top line revenue number. We are hitting that number. We are $10,000 away but there are definitely two more weeks in this year and we still have some P2P sales coming through and some Call Her Blessed sales.
(05:13):
So I will definitely hit that almost to the penny, which is so fun. God always has jokes. Last year when I closed out out the year at roughly 400 K and I stood there at the whiteboard and I heard the whisper half a million-dollar business, I choked on my cold brew coffee and said, no way, I’m just gonna keep it static, cuz that is so surreal.
(05:40):
But I went for it, chalked it up to a stretch goal and here we sit, it is so cool. And because of that we’ve been able to do some really amazing things. We’ve been able to give more, we’ve been able to build my husband’s shop, which has been a bucket list item for him since we moved in almost eight years ago, we were able to pay off my car, pay off some other debts that we had.
(06:08):
And it’s just been really fun to be able to see the type of quality of your life, sure, but also like impact act that you can start to make when you actually have real, tangible income coming in. And it also has allowed me to grow and scale my team at a higher capacity. It’s helped me to be able to look at how I can reach more women that desperately need the solutions that I have. So it’s just so fun and just really surreal.
(06:40):
I think I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again. I’m super detached. I’m like, that’s not mine. I could not have done that on my own. There is absolutely zero chance that I could have gotten to those numbers without God’s hand, without him leading the way, laying the path beneath my feet opening doors and slaming some PS, it is all to the glory of Him. And so praise God for what He’s done and, and His hand being on this purpose that He has placed on my life.
(07:10):
The next one was to go to Disney world, which check, check the box. We sure did that. 10 full days of it. Disney, Universal, hanging out with my kids and my husband. It was so fun. Loved it so much. It just does something weird to you where you’re like, take my money, like I definitely need that $75 T-shirt, I really need those pink sparkly ears. I must have them. And now we’re home. And I’m like, did I really need those pink sparkly ears?
(07:36):
But we’re definitely going back. Cause we had such a great time. It was so much fun. So those were the main goals, as far as like really high level goals. We had a lot of other small goals. I had marriage goals and motherhood goals and personal goals and all the things, but for the purpose of this episode, them goals got done.
(07:58):
So what changed in 2021? Let’s begin with this conversation. Well, let’s start from the beginning. Number one, I added Clarify your Calling to my portfolio, to the Stefanie Gass School. Isn’t that weird? Like you guys feel like you’ve been hearing me talk about the Clarify your Calling course probably incessantly for like a decade.
(08:19):
No, this course was born in January of 2021. If you guys remember, I ran it live. We had, I believe 20 to 25 women in there. It was so fun. It was definitely a God download. One morning as I sat down and I really struggled with how am I supposed to scale back these calls that I’m having with so many people, helping them get clarity. And it was this, it was Clarify your Calling.
(08:45):
And so that course was born and so great because it allowed me to do the second thing that really changed. I scaled down coaching really considerably in 2021. I went from probably 40 recurring clients down to 30, between 20 and 30, which was a much more manageable level and that felt really, really great.
(09:07):
The next thing that really changed was we completely rebranded. Those of you that are new around here, my podcast used to be called The Mompreneur Mastermind Show. And in March of 2021, I rebranded the show to The Stefanie Gass Show and that was for just a multitude of reasons. I wanted a scalable business at that point, I had built enough super fans and enough traction to be able to use my name, which is actually my trademark. So that made it super simple.
(09:37):
And I wanted to be able to grow with the brand and mompreneur just wasn’t a term that was connecting with me anymore. It was kind of part of my former life and I just felt called to step into this new branding and God delivered me colors, the blue and the turquoise and the gold. And he really spoke this vision of vibrancy life and fun into the brand. And He just really paved the way for me to have a complete rebrand from top to bottom.
(10:06):
I’m talking top to bottom, shout out to Ale Marino, girl, if y’all need a graphic designer who is so legit you’re gonna have to head to Allie and get on her wait list, cuz she’s real booked out cuz she’s that good. She’s at ahappymompreneur.com, but Allie just poured into me and my business and we rebranded the podcast.
(10:28):
We rebranded the website completely all of my copy, every single sales page, every single blog, we’re still working on that. I have 370 episodes, you guys, and we are still migrating blogs to the new website, shout out to my team that’s helping on that and the interns that we have just brought on to help us complete this project because it’s been such a big project and I’m super excited to lay that to rest.
(10:56):
We also redid every single Stefanie Gass product. So, the next thing that we did was take every course, CYC, PPU and Podcast to Profit and I completely reworked the courses from start to finish, new slide decks, new recordings, new bonuses, new workbooks, all of it, completely brand new.
(11:21):
It took five excruciating months to redo every single course and program that I have. I also ended up redoing my two mini courses, which news on those coming soon, Course Crafter and the Pinterest masterclass. So we had a rebrand, we redid the website in and we redid every single course.
(11:41):
The next thing that that changed in 2021 is I took time after all of those hard things were done optimizing the back end of my business. So I think one of the biggest testaments to why I had success just seven short years into being a full-time entrepreneur is because I’m not afraid of taking big action, but sometimes my big action precedes thinking through things.
(12:09):
I’m kind of an act taker, I’m a jumper, I’m a doer, you know, hand me a to-do list and it’s already done, son, but that does bring in its own set of problems because you don’t have systems. We didn’t have an SOP to save our life. A new person came in and I’m like, here’s your training Voxer, have fun. You guys, what would I do without Lydia?
(12:37):
So I took the time and we’re still working on this, but to really optimize the back end of the business, and this means cleaning things up for the first time, creating systems, creating maps and shout out to Chelsi Jo, of course, as well who’s really been blessing me with so much guidance and knowledge and coaching in these areas, getting workflow set up, building Asana maps, like just getting it together quite frankly.
(13:03):
But here’s the great news about that. I was able to build a multi six figure business before we had the backend optimized, because I think some of you stay in optimization and pre-planning, and so long that you miss the action part. Like there is no impact and income without action. So I’m super glad that I actually waited to do these pieces. shouldn’t have waited so long, but it feels great to be getting them done now.
(13:31):
The next thing that what changed in 2021 is that I started testing some paid growth options. I was able to scale a 400 K revenue business, 100% organically. And that was using podcasting, that was using Pinterest, and that was using my blog, SEO, titles, and podcast pitching, all of which I teach you in Podcast to Profit.
(14:00):
And I think it’s so critically important that I did not skip the organic growth step. If I would’ve started fussing around with paid stuff like I’m looking at now, it would’ve been so distracting from building the engine that I could later pour the fuel into to make it go faster. Like those two years of just doing organic growth was so critically important to being able to scale once we had passed that organic threshold.
(14:34):
So I’m actually gonna do a series for you guys right after the new year about what to focus on based on where you are in your business. So like, what do you actually do when you’re just starting and you’re growing your first 10 K downloads. What do you do when you’re going from 10 to a hundred K downloads? What do you do when you’re scaling from a hundred K to 500 K and beyond.
(14:55):
There’s different things that you need to be focused on and don’t get the order twisted. It’s so easy to get so distracted by step three, that you totally skip step one and step two and then you trip and fall on your face, girl. We’ve gotta go in order. It’s extremely important.
(15:15):
So we are now working on some cool scaling strategies, working on webinar ideas and different ad modalities and different platforms for growth and different funnel strategies. But truly I am so glad that I really didn’t look at any of that until we were half a million dollar business. So please plant that seed for much later in your life.
(15:39):
And then last but not least what changed is I really got off social. I’m pretty much completely off of social media. It’s so great. It’s so freeing. I cannot applaud you guys enough. Those of you that have gotten into my email or you’ve told me, or you’ve told the team like, Hey, we’re actually not using social media anymore. Like I could cry.
(16:00):
I’m so happy for you because I know how freeing and how good it feels to just pour into one incredible thing, one platform. So at this point, we do share the podcast promotion on Instagram, but it takes five minutes an episode and that’s it. Then we do have two people running my free Facebook group. I do have two people running the student community, which allows me to not be there. And it’s so legit.
(16:36):
And I want you guys to know, like, if you think I sound like a fancy pants with a team, I want you to understand something. I started my team by trading for stuff that I needed and they needed in their business. I started trading courses with people that wanted to work for me. That’s how I started. And then I also started by utilizing a lot of awesome opportunities through Fiverr.
(16:57):
My first ever podcast editor was on Fiverr and I still use him. He’s so great. You can get special projects done on Fiverr, they’re super affordable. You can also even have interns that come and work totally for free. So if any of you were thinking I’m tooting my little toot horn by saying, I have a team, that is not the case.
(17:19):
I want you to understand that the sooner you start getting help in your business, the sooner you can rise to the visionary that you need to become to make the real numbers that you wanna hit. So talking about having a team may sound impossible, but I want you to understand that it’s very possible. It’s so extremely possible. And I want you to look and start praying for the help that God already has for you.
(17:44):
The sooner I start praying for the things that I don’t have, but that I need, He hands it to me. This is so crazy. We started an intern project, and we needed help migrating blogs. And Laura, I don’t even know if we’ve told you this yet. So have fun with this one. But I prayed and said, Lord, who are the interns or who are the people that are meant to help us do this project?
(18:08):
Because here we are, we’re spending eight months already. Like we need to be done. It’s taking too long. How are we gonna do this? And I said, I think we can do an intern or a scholarship program of some kind. And that next day I had two emails in my inbox from two extraordinary women who wanted to become interns. They like literally said the words or they said like, I would like a scholarship to trade for whatever.
(18:35):
I was like, oh God, you’re so good. And you know, Laura joined the team and she’s doing that project for us and she’s killing it. She’s slaying, so good. So I want you to get resourceful and I want you to start praying for the help that you need. That’s what changed in 2021.
(18:51):
Let’s move to what was hard about this year. You know, the hardest thing that I walked through and actually let me start by saying, I haven’t told you guys what my word of the year was for 2021. I dunno if any of you remember, but it was perseverance. God spoke that to me. And I looked up in scripture and there was a whole lot of like, hold on type messaging going on, like, just hold on. You’re gonna be great. Lots of hard work ahead. Gonna be real hard, but you’ll be fine.
(19:22):
So that was totally this year, there was so much perseverance and there was pain too. We lost my dad in May of this year. He lost his battle to cancer. It had been a seven year battle. Thankfully it was not bad until the very end, but that was really hard. And you know, one of the hardest pieces about it was that he wasn’t saved.
(19:45):
And we kept hearing this whisper and I kept hearing this whisper that there was hope. And so I made some hard phone calls. I had some really uncomfortable conversations with him and all the way down to the very last moments, it was a no. And then in the very last seconds, his heart changed and through a series of events and a series of prophetic confirmations.
(20:09):
And my son had a dream and a friend had a word for me. You know, he, he was saved by the grace of God, praise Jesus, he’s in heaven and he’s waiting for us. And I’m so excited about that. I’m so grateful. That’s the number one wish and dream that I had and the prayer that I had was that he would be saved and glory be to God.
(20:31):
So that was really hard. The whole year was hard because of that, knowing it was coming and then going through it and then dealing with the big question marks around his salvation and the pain and the grief. You just never know what people going through. So thank you guys for your grace. For those of you that knew what I was walking through for your support and your love and your encouragement, it truly meant the world.
(20:58):
The next thing that was hard. And now it seems kind of silly to say it out loud, but really what was super hard, you guys is that my podcast hit a total lull. My podcast just was stagnant for like almost the entire year. Yes, I grew. Yes, I hit the goal, but the deal is like I already had 300,000 downloads coming into 2021. So I really didn’t even grow. I had the same number, another 300, but your guys are like, oh, I hate you, you have that much.
(21:30):
Look, it’s all relative. There’s one day where you’re gonna sit here and you’re gonna be frustrated. And then there’s one day where you’re gonna sit at 10 million downloads and go, oh my gosh, I’m stagnant. It’s bigger problems, like more growth, bigger problems. So please don’t be too jelous, enjoy the journey, I promise you you’re in the easy phases right now.
(21:51):
But it was so hard because, I had some friends and some students and some clients who started passing me and my ego really got slapped around and I was really struggling like, wow, this rebrand was a failure. Why did I do that? You know, God spoke it to me, but I shouldn’t have done it. I should have stayed with what was working. Nobody’s liking the content anymore. Like I just had so many limiting beliefs creep up and lies and spiritual warfare around who are you to be a podcast coach if your show isn’t growing, it’s just staying the same.
(22:27):
But I remembered my word of the year perseverance. And I just dug in and I did not give up. And I went back to the roots. I went back to my Lolas. I got back into the copy and the messaging that you guys put in our Facebook questions, and I dug into why you followed me in the first place. And I realized something so critically important that I hope that you all are hearing right now.
(22:51):
Please write this down. I had left the people behind, I had forgotten why they came to me and I had taken them to where I was, I was speaking from a position of authority to where people are that are sitting at the same seat as me, instead of speaking to the person who just walked in the room going, hi, where’s my name tag? How do I start?
(23:16):
And I had to go back to where my person still was. I had gotten away from that. I totally reworked my keywords and my messaging and my podcast topics and boom, low and behold, we shot right back up. My last two months have been the best months that I’ve ever had in my podcasting career. And so I’m so grateful that I didn’t give up.
(23:41):
I’m so grateful that I didn’t revert back to the old brand. I’m so grateful that I have friends and mentors who helped encourage me to stay the course. And I’m so grateful for the journey, being able to sit in that lull really taught me some great lessons about trusting and faith and perseverance and consistency and showing up, even though, and there’s something so easy that I’m learning about podcasting, and I’m seeing this over and over again.
(24:08):
And it’s that there’s no instant gratification. It’s truly a long game and like I’m married to it and marriage gets hard. There are seasons in marriage where I’m sure you’ve feel disconnected or you feel unseen, or you’re not sure if your spouse is on the same wavelength as you or whatever, like podcasting is the same process. This is not going to be perfect. It’s not going to always be easy.
(24:40):
And I think we have to understand that we are married to this purpose on our lives. And so podcasting is something God spoke over me and I’m going to be here a decade from now. I’m gonna be behind this mic with icey LaCroix and a lukewarm coffee and a kombucha, probably all three at the same time, cuz y’all know I’m weird like that.
(25:02):
And I’m still gonna be spitting my truth behind the mic. Like I’m married to this. It is the way that I have chosen to create impact. And so for me to be able to walk through that hard season of is this working and wow, I thought I was great at this thing, but I don’t even know anymore to being able to see it through to the other side was pivotal to me as a coach and pivotal to me as somebody who teaches other people to weather the storm. So I’m just grateful. There’s always so much glory in our hard seasons. We just have to be looking for it.
(25:39):
Let’s move to what wasn’t working. So in 2021, what was not working well, first thing is the mini courses. So I have Course Crafter and Pinterest masterclass. They just don’t sell. And some of you have bought them and that’s great. But the reality is, is that they were distracting from the Stefanie Gass business model. You know what I really truly want for all of you is to go through CYC.
(26:05):
I want 100% of people that listen to this podcast to go through, Clarify Your Calling. Don’t care if you think that, you know what you do, you don’t. I do not care if you think if you know who you serve, I don’t care if you think that you know what your pillars are, you have got to have the most clean, crispy, clear, sticky, punchy five tier brand map, because everything builds on that. That is truly like the whole to your foundation that I talk about is the five tier brand map. So 100% of people must do that.
(26:37):
Then step two is the podcasting course, Podcast Pro University, yhat’s the growing, the scaling, the launching, this whole thing, this whole purpose that we have to create impact. And then third step is Podcast to Profit because that’s where I optimize the show with you, we grow, we scale, we create the course, the program, the coaching offer. I teach you pitching. I teach you monetization, sales, sales pages.
(26:58):
Well, having these two mini courses is just distracting for you because truly you cannot utilize my Pinterest masterclass and Course Crafter without being in Podcast to Profit. It goes together. So that wasn’t working.
(27:13):
What else wasn’t working is I was coaching too much. As we mapped out the revenue from 2021, we found that coaching was a fifth of the revenue, but half, if not more of my actual work available time. So that ROI just really isn’t there. So I thought about a few things and we’ll talk about that in a minute. We’ll come back to that.
(27:35):
And the last thing was, I was really having trouble being able to turn off the to-do list. So a to-do list sits there. It’s all I can think about. It’s all consuming. I have to finish at the expense of all these other things, personal time or time with the kids or me time or workouts, et cetera. So that’s what what’s not working.
(27:57):
So that brings me to what’s changing. What am I doing about that? What am I doing about what’s changed, what’s hard, what wasn’t working, what is going to happen for 2022? And stay with me cause I’m also gonna be sharing with you my 2022 goal numbers and my new word of the year.
(28:14):
So the first thing that’s changing, that’s a really big change and it makes me super nervous, but super excited all at the same time, you know, there’s always growth in change is I’m cutting my client load in half. So we’re actually going to be decreasing the number of clients that I serve. And this is because I don’t wanna raise prices anymore.
(28:34):
I really feel like I’m at a ceiling for what I morally would charge for coaching. I do not want to move into high ticket. It’s just not something that I’m interested in. And so really it comes down to the number of people I can and want to serve so that my quality of life stays the same.
(28:53):
So we’re gonna cut that in half the number that I currently serve so that I can only work on coaching two days a week, right now, I literally coach you guys four to five days a week. And it’s just a lot. I’m so drained at the end of the day. And I’m just really tired. And there’s a lot of really exciting, big visionary things that I’m trying to scale to in the future.
(29:15):
And some other incredible projects that we’re gonna start working on that really need me to step out of the weeds of my business and really become a high level leader, a visionary, focusing on growth, the growth leg of this organization. So that’s happening really pumped about that. So don’t be too sad. I am still coaching a little bit. You still can grab the unstuck sessions as students.
(29:42):
And the other big change here is that you must be a student to get coaching. And so if you do want coaching, you still can apply, we will have an application process and, we’ll let you know where you are on the roster. So that is still an opportunity. And then of course, if you are a student, you still can get access to those unstuck sessions right now and get in within 30 days or less.
(30:04):
So that’s kind of what that’s gonna look like for this year. And then we’ll reevaluate at the end of 2022. The next thing that’s changing is that PPU and P2P prices are going up. And the reason is that I’m going to retire Course Crafter and Pinterest masterclass as standalone products. They’re going to be added in as bonuses when you go through the Stefanie Gass business model, you’re gonna be added to those courses when you do Podcast to Profit.
(30:36):
PPU is gonna have tons of new bonuses that we’re working on actively. It’s already been fully revamped. This should be a $1,500 product. We’re only bumping in a hundred bucks. P2P is going up in price quite a bit because we are adding a lot of additional resources. I’m adding a bunch of back office business trainings for you, so that as you go through Podcast to Profit, not only do you get the optimization and in the growth and the pitching and creating your courses and your programs and all the things and sales pages.
(31:08):
But you’re also getting every single bonus tutorial that teaches you how to implement that step that I’ve just taught you. So tutorials on landing pages or email marketing, Course Crafter will be in there, Pinterest masterclass will be in there, et cetera.
(31:24):
So that’s a big change that’s coming. And we’re really looking at how we can scale that program, but add even more value, add even more focused time. And I’m just super excited about all the changes that are coming for P2P, Podcast to Profit.
(31:42):
The next thing that’s changing for 2022 is more hiring. I’m super excited to finally have a clear vision of my company organization, where we wanna go in the next 12 months. So we have about three or four spots that we’re gonna be looking to fill. We are also launching an internship program where people can get in, they can do scholarship in exchange for the programs or the course that they’re looking to get into in exchange for helping us with projects.
(32:10):
So that’s gonna be really exciting and we’ve already started that, thanks God, who sent us our first few people. But you can be on the lookout for more information about that in Q1. And then more scaling, me being able to create more time and space through outsourcing, and then through lowering the coaching load. I am really taking a seat at the head of the growth department. I am becoming the CEO of growth for 2022 in my company.
(32:38):
And I’m figuring out lots of incredible growth strategies so that we can create more impact. And when we create more impact, more people have success. More people have results, more people’s voices are heard more people’s books and heavens are flushed out, more people start their show, more people bless others with the knowledge that they have.
(32:55):
I just know that I know that mission is not meant to be small and that God has big plans for all of you to really capture what that calling is and turn it into your life’s work. I’m just a piece of that puzzle for you. And I need more people to know that this is an option.
(33:16):
I want more women to understand that they don’t have to be on social to build a huge thriving business, that they don’t have to be in the hustle mode, that they don’t have to be overwhelmed and exhausted with funnels and tiny offers and ridiculous things that do not pay off.
(33:31):
I want freedom. I want freedom for women to know you can run a profitable, massively profitable business in less than 30, even 15 hours a week. Like this is truly possible, but I just need them to know about me and it, and the resources that we’ve built and just the podcast alone has 370 episodes totally free that can help someone change their life. Even if they didn’t spend a dollar with us as a company. That’s all I care about.
(34:01):
Just know that there are options for you, just know that you can have God centered success, a God led business, it’s here, we wanna run this race with you. So that’s where I’m going. How does all of this affect you? Well, the first thing I would say is if you want Podcast to Profit or P2P I will go ahead and do the thing because the prices are going up. So there’s that.
(34:29):
The second thing is if you’re interested in coaching with me, I would get on the application ASAP because it is gonna be first come first serve. So you guys can do that by emailing Nina support@stefaniegass.com. And then really the only other thing how this affects you is if you’re interested in becoming an intern with us or working towards a scholarship program with us to do special projects, you can get in touch with Lydia, lydia@stefaniegass.com.
(34:55):
What we’re really looking for are people that have a specific niche expertise. And we’re looking for you to come to the table with an idea, come to the table with something that you see that needs to be optimized, come to the table with what your skillset is, what you would like to do. We’re open to Facebook moderation. We’re open to backend updates, we’re open to project management. We are open. So come on at us, let us know what you’re thinking, and we’ll definitely hear you out.
(35:22):
Last but not least two last things, goals. What are my goals for 2022? And then what’s the word of the year? So the goals that I have as a company, as an organization for 2022 are to hit 750,000 in revenue, which is the weirdest number I’ve ever said out loud, 1 million podcast downloads and 20,000 in our Facebook group community, which is super excited.
(35:50):
And just a personal goal I thought I’d share with you guys is to have a super fun wedding anniversary trip because it’s our 10 year wedding anniversary. So we need some recommendations, Brad and I looked at Bora Bora, but it’s like a 26 hour flight. Are you kidding me? So I need some realistic, super fun recommendations for where to take our 10 wedding anniversary, cuz that’s gonna happen.
(36:17):
And then the last thing is the word of the year. So I thought this was super interesting that God gave me the word perseverance for 2021. And I’m like, okay here for it. And it was rough and great, all at the same time. There were so many great things that were hidden inside of the hard. And I’m just here for that.
(36:37):
I’ve been around long enough and I’ve been doing this stuff long enough to know that we are but dust and then that this ultimately matters anyway, but it doesn’t make it less easy when we’re stuck, when we’re stagnant, when we experience loss or when we wonder if we’re even qualified to do the work that we’re doing.
(36:56):
So just so you know, I’ve been there, I’m sitting next to you. Like this does not get easier, but it does get more clear that there’s always an ending to the hard, there’s always fruit after you’ve gone through it. There’s always a bright side, which is so cute because the Lord gave me the word overflow for 2022.
(37:20):
I’ve heard some of my friends talk about overflow before plus some of my spiritual growth mentors. And so I was like overflow, like what does that mean? And so I went into the Bible and I started looking into overflow. Here is some of the verses Joel 2:24, The threshing floor should be full of grain. The vats shall overflow with wine and oil so provision favor. Romans 15:13, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the holy spirit, you may abound in hope. Ooh, overflowing in holy spirit, overflowing in hope, overflowing in belief and joy. Amen.
(38:02):
Luke 6:45, The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good. And outta the abundance of his heart, his mouth speaks. So just good treasure, spreading joy, spreading the abundance that I have to others and using my voice for that, using my grain, my bats, using whatever God has gifted me to really bless others.
(38:30):
So as I sat with this overflow concept, one morning, I just felt the urge to write. I started sitting at the keyboard and typing something out. Then I realized that I was really writing a vision for what overflow means to me and why I want to pass that overflow on to you. So I’m gonna read it to you now.
(38:56):
Her overflow rises and spills out from her heart. As it lands on the floor, splashing everyone around her, the beautiful water from holy spirit sprinkles, her home, her children, her husband, her marriage, her motherhood, and it slowly soaks in. The living water grows seeds of wisdom and knowledge in their hearts. And they begin to seek and understand the veil is slowly lifted from their eyes and they can finally see.
(39:22):
Their spiritual eyes taken a new beautiful, wonderful reality. The truth, joy and love from above showers down as their heart of stone cracks and softens with each new beat. Her overflow changes them. They begin to serve in love, give and use their gifts for his kingdom. They grow in faith and trust and over time their overflow begins to rise.
(39:50):
Soon is full and begins spilling over, from their heart onto the floor, tables and chairs around them. It splashes up and soaks into the hearts of their friends, teachers, coworkers, and strangers who begin to feel different. They begin to slow down, listen, more laugh. They wonder why life feels easier, more free. Over time, their hearts of stone begin to crack and little by little, the hard hearts fall to the floor.
(40:18):
And with each beat, a beautiful, strong new heart is revealed. Their new heart seeks his love and their spirits call out for a safe place to call home. Of course, He is there waiting. He wraps them in His comfort love and endless peace. They smile as they welcome the overflow.
(40:39):
Friends, I just pray that this year is full of overflow for all of us, that we are able to abundantly, persistently give and serve. I pray that we have confidence in the consistency, in this purpose that God has placed within us, that we use our voices for His glory and that He in turn gifts us impact and income that we can use to steward his kingdom.
(41:03):
I just pray over each of you that you have the path laid before your feet, that this year is one of the most exciting years that’s full of anticipation over what the king has in store for you. And I just ask that God would prepare us. That would allow us to weather the storms that he would allow us to see the beauty and the hard, that he would allow us to pursue with persistence through the valleys so that we can climb the mountains.
(41:31):
And I’m just grateful that I get to be on this journey with each and every one of these women. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 2022, Let’s get it!
