I want to share a crazy testimony with you today, and it’s all about how one of my current P2P students got $10,000 in sales in her business without posting on Instagram. She doesn’t even use social media in her business. She’s using a passive, easy, simple sales strategy that we are all after. 

With the strategies she implemented in her business, she’s generated 34 sales in the past three months. That’s 34 sales in 90 days, like a sale every three days! Remember, this is all without having to post on Instagram. Can I get an amen?

I’m so happy to share my interview with Jacqueline Butler with you. She is a Podcast to Profit (P2P) student, a wife, a boy mom, and a former teacher turned top 1% Etsy seller. Jacqueline has multiple six-figure businesses, and she helps others start and grow their own Etsy businesses selling digital products. She hosts the Passive Profits on Etsy podcast and teaches ambitious women how to make passive income online by selling digital products.

You Can Build a Business Without Posting on Instagram

Stef: Jacky, welcome to the podcast. I am so excited that you are here with me! 

Jacqueline: I am so happy to be here!

Stef: We were talking before we pressed record that you’ve only been in P2P for three months. Jacky, can you share with everyone what you do and what your podcast is called? 

Jacqueline: My podcast is Passive Profits on Etsy, and I teach ambitious women how to sell digital products on Etsy. I started selling digital products on Etsy, and I got to the point where I became a top 1% Etsy seller, which allowed me to retire from my teaching job. That’s when I knew I wanted to teach other women how to have multiple six-figure successful businesses selling digital products on Etsy like me. 

Stef: I love that you came up with a specific business concept and were already having success in your own store. What did it look like for you to start exploring using a podcast as a growth method? How did you find me, and why did you think a podcast would benefit your business?

Jacqueline: My short answer is that I found you on Pinterest. 

Stef: I’m so pumped to hear that! 

Organically Find Clients without Posting on Instagram

Jacqueline: The long answer is that I didn’t use social media for my Etsy business. I found success without posting on Instagram. My social media was a ghost town; I never posted on it. One of my values is not to use social media for my business.

I became so determined to figure out how to find a way to build another successful business without social media. It meant so much to me, so I decided to do whatever it took to figure out how to make that possible. I went onto Pinterest, prayed, and typed, “How do I run a successful business without social media?” Your pin popped up, probably with the exact words I typed in the search bar. 

Stef: Yes!

Jacqueline: I clicked on it, and it sent me to a blog post where you explained what you did with podcasting. I was immediately intrigued by it. I started listening to your podcast and just absorbed all of the content. What you said about not being on social media made so much sense to me. I really wanted to do this organically, too. That was probably my favorite thing about your content.

Don’t Let Roadblocks Stop You

Stef: I’m so happy to hear that. What roadblocks did you have before joining P2P? 

Jacqueline: One of my roadblocks was the price. I was trying to imagine if I would make back the investment I put into the course. It was also hard because I had an established business already, so that was a roadblock for me.

I thought maybe I could figure out how to start a podcast independently. Another part of the roadblock was that I had spent so much money on courses in the past that they taught me all these little things, like how to create a course or how to market your course. 

When I invested in your program, I thought if I were investing this amount of money, I would work hard and make it worth it. Initially, I started with Clarify Your Calling, then Podcast Pro University, and then went into P2P. I am so grateful that I found you when I did, but I wish I had found you so much earlier because I probably would have saved thousands of dollars if I had found you.

Your program is a business in a box. There is no other program that you need to have. This is hands down the best program that I’ve come in contact with.

And everything is step by step. I also really appreciate the coaching calls and the community aspect of getting your homework checked by a coach. And the coaches don’t just look at it and say, “Great job.” They will find something every single time that you can make better. 

Stef: Because we’re so in it. 

Avoiding Shiny Object Syndrome in Your Business

Stef: When we are newish in our businesses and are starting, we are always looking for whatever glaring shiny object seems to be the secret sauce that will get us to where we want to go. We hyper-focus on whatever that course is, and we often look for the best price.

We buy this email marketing course, then a website course, then another course, and another course, but we don’t understand that now we’ve actually duct-taped our entire business together from many different professionals with different results.

They all build their business differently. Our business turns into many parts that don’t always work well together. Nothing is refined, and it’s not one beautiful holistic puzzle. 

Then we wonder why we aren’t making any money or why our business is not growing. We wonder why the scaling methods don’t work for us or why we think we must post on Instagram. This is why I built P2P; I was where many of you are today.

I realized that everything must work together. Everything must talk, be intertwined, and yet stay affordable, resulting in simplicity. This business-in-a-box model is simple, seamless, and scalable, and you can blow up a business quickly because of how refined the program is. 

Scale Your Business Quickly Without Posting on Instagram

Stef: What was your perception of the program? What was your favorite part? What were your tactical wins and outcomes three months into this six-month program?

Jacqueline: I was genuinely humbled these past three months because I thought I knew what I was doing and didn’t need help. I didn’t know what I was doing. I have had my podcast up and running since April 23, and I couldn’t get into P2P until May 13.

Since May 13, I hit over 12K podcast downloads. Another thing I didn’t even tell you about is that I grew my email list by 300 people since that day!

Before getting your program, I only sold 18 courses. After I joined your program and implemented what you told me to do, I sold 34 courses in just three months. I made over $10,000 in course sales just over the past three months since my podcast started.

I also did market research with my clients, and 90% of them said they found my course through my podcast. The investment that I made in your course paid for itself, doubled, and will continue to grow. 

The best part is that I don’t have to post on Instagram. I did not post on social media once. I took the big leap of faith and implemented everything, even if I didn’t like it or didn’t want to do it. It caused my show to grow very quickly in a really short amount of time.

Stef: Just wait. It’s going to get even better, girl. If anyone was sitting on the fence listening to your story, and they’re still on the fence, is there anything else you want to share to help them decide?

Jacqueline: It’s 100 percent worth it. I think we all suffer from imposter syndrome in one way or another. Don’t allow that to keep you from something you know is possible. There is absolutely nothing special about me other than the fact that I just decided to do it. My wins can be your wins, and you can surpass those wins. I wish that I had done this sooner.
