34 Sales in 3 Months Without Posting on Instagram with Jacqueline Butler

If you want to create a business that is fruitful and income producing outside of social media, hear me out. Despite what you may hear, you can run a successful business without posting on Instagram or posting daily on all the social platforms. Social media can take so much time, effort, and energy just to die within 24 hours. I don’t know about you but I’m here for that longform, evergreen content that does not expire and actually produces conversion. 

I’m all about creating a business without posting on Instagram. I want to share a crazy testimony with you today, and it’s all about how one of my current P2P students got $10,000 in sales in her business without posting on Instagram. She doesn’t even use social media in her business. She’s using a passive, easy simple sales strategy that we are all after. 

With the strategies she implemented in her business she was able to get 34 sales in the last 3 months. That’s 34 sales in 90 days, which is like a sale every 3 days! Remember, this is all without having to post on Instagram. Can I get an amen? That is so great, right? 

I’m so happy to share the interview that I had with Jacqueline Butler with you. She is a Podcast to Profit  (P2P) student, a wife, boy mom, and a former teacher turned top .1% Etsy seller. Jacqueline has multiple six figure businesses helping others start and grow their own Etsy businesses selling digital products, and she is the host of the Passive Profits on Etsy podcast. She teaches ambitious women how to make passive income online by selling digital products.

You Can Build a Business Without Posting on Instagram

Stef: Jacky welcome to the podcast. I am so excited that you are here with me! 

Jacqueline: I am so happy to be here!

Stef: We were just talking before we pressed record, that you’ve only been in P2P for 3 months.  Jacky, can you share with everyone what you do and what your podcast is called? 

Jacqueline: My podcast is called Passive Profits on Etsy and I teach ambitious women how to sell digital profits on Etsy. I started selling digital products on Etsy and I got to the point where I became a top .1% Etsy seller so I was able to retire from my teaching job. That’s when I knew that I wanted to  teach other women how to have multiple 6 figure successful businesses selling digital products on Etsy, like me. 

Stef: I love that you came with a pretty specific business concept and you were already having success in your own store. What did that look like for you to start exploring using a podcast as a method of growth? How did you find me and why did you think a podcast would be beneficial for your business?

Jacqueline: My short answer is that I found you on Pinterest. 

Stef: I’m so pumped to hear that! 

How to Organically Find Clients without Posting on Instagram

Jacqueline: The long answer is that I didn’t use social media for my Etsy business, I was able to find success without posting on Instagram. My social media was a ghost town, I never posted on it. One of my values is to not use social media for my business. I became so determined to figure out how to find a way to build another successful business without social media. It was something that meant so much to me so I decided that I would do whatever it takes to figure out how to make that possible. I went onto Pinterest, prayed, and typed in “How do I run a successful business without social media?”  A pin of yours popped up which probably said the same words I typed in the search bar. 

Stef: Yes!

Jacqueline: I clicked on it and it sent me to a blog post where you explained what you did with podcasting, so I was immediately intrigued by it. I started listening to your podcast, and just absorbed all of the content. It made so much sense to me with what you said about not being on social media. I really wanted to do this in an organic way too. That was probably my favorite thing about your content.

Take a Leap of Faith and Don’t Let Roadblocks Stop You

Stef: I’m so happy to hear that. What roadblocks did you have before joining P2P? 

Jacqueline: One of my roadblocks was the price. I was trying to imagine if I would make back the investment I put into the course. It was also hard because I had an established business already, so that was a roadblock for me. I thought maybe I could just figure out how to start a podcast on my own. Another part of the roadblock was that I had spent so much money on courses in the past that had taught me all these little things like how to create a course or how to market your course. 

When I made the investment in your program, I was like if I’m investing this amount of money, I’m going to work really hard and make this so worth it. At the beginning I started with Clarify your Calling, then Podcast Pro University, and then going into P2P. I am so grateful that I found you when I did but I wish that I found you so much earlier because I probably would have saved thousands of dollars if I had found you originally. Your program is a business in a box. There is no other program that you need to have. This is hands down the best program that I’ve come in contact with. And everything is step by step. I also really appreciate the coaching calls, and the community aspect of getting your homework checked by a coach. And the coaches don’t just look at it and say great job. They will find something with it every single time that you can make better. 

Stef: Because we’re so in it. 

Side Tip About Avoiding Shiny Object Syndrome in Your Business

Stef: I think when we are newish in our businesses and are starting out, we are always looking for whatever glaring shiny object that seems to be the secret sauce that is going to get us to where we want to go.  We hyper-focus on whatever that course is and we often look for the best price. We buy this email marketing course, then a website course, then another course, and another course, but we don’t understand that now we’ve actually duct-taped our entire business together from a multitude of different professionals that all have different results. They all build their business in a different way. Our business turns into many different parts that don’t always work well together.  Nothing is refined, and it’s not one beautiful holistic puzzle. 

Then we wonder why we aren’t making any money or why our business is not growing. We wonder why the scaling methods don’t work for us, or we end up thinking we have to post on instagram. This is why I built P2P because I was where a lot of you are today. I realized that  everything must work together. Everything must talk, be intertwined, and yet stay affordable, and the end result is simplicity. This business in a box model is simple, seamless,  and scalable and you can blow up a business in a short amount of time because of how refined the program is. 

You can Scale Your Business Quickly Without Posting on Instagram

Stef: 1: What was your perception of the program? What was your favorite part? What have been your tactical wins and outcomes 3 short months into this 6 month program’?

Jacqueline: I was genuinely so humbled these past 3 months because I thought I knew what I was doing and I thought I didn’t need help. I didn’t know what I was doing. I have had my podcast up and running since April 23 and it wasn’t until May 13 that I was able to get into P2P. Since May 13, I hit over 12k podcast downloads. Another thing I didn’t even tell you about is that I grew my email list by 300 people since that day!

Prior to getting your program I only sold 18 courses. After I joined your program and implemented the things that you told me to do, I sold 34 courses and just in 3 months. I made over $10,000 in course sales just over the past 3 months since my podcast started. I also did market research with my clients and 90% of them said they found my course through my podcast. The investment that I made in your course not only paid for itself, but it doubled and it will continue to grow. 

The best part about it is I don’t have to post on Instagram. In fact, I did not post on social media once. I took the big leap of faith, and implemented everything even if I didn’t like it even if I didn’t want to do it and it caused my show to grow very quickly in a really short amount of time.

Stef: Just wait. It’s going to get even better, girl. If anyone is sitting on the fence listening to your story, but they are still on the fence…do you have one last thing you feel led to say to them that will help them make that decision?

Jacqueline: It’s 100 percent worth it. I think we all suffer from imposter syndrome in one way or another. Don’t allow that to keep you back from something that you know is possible. There is absolutely nothing special about me other than the fact that I just decided to do it. My wins can be your wins and you can surpass those wins. I wish that I had done this sooner.
