I help her go from what she does in too-many-words to a neat, clean, punchy tagline and title! We jam out the main details of what her podcast brand will be so that she can jump in and get started.

(00:00): Hey, friends! Welcome to today’s episode. I’m doing something fun with you today. I’m airing a-15 minute power coaching session that went down over in the Stef Gass community on Facebook a week or two ago.
(00:12): And what we discuss with, or what I discuss with Jyssica is how to come up with her title and tagline of her new podcast.
And we go from her explaining what she does to me in probably 30 words or so and pair it all the way down into a super sticky tactical 10 wordless tagline.
(00:34): And I end up giving her some ideas for her title of her new upcoming podcast as well. So grab a notebook and pen, take a seat.

(02:19): How’s it going?
(02:21): Pretty good. How are you doing?
(02:22): Good. Shoot. What is your question, my love?
(02:27): So, I am very new to the podcast world. And so my biggest question is just kind of, what do you recommend to get started with the podcast and like how to get into this world of podcasting and all of that.
(02:42): What’s super important about this whole process is not going, oh, I think I know what I should do. Let me start a podcast, which is what I did. Don’t do that.
Don’t do what Stefanie Gass did. It’s taking the time to get super clear before you start the show so that your growth road to success is so much shorter.
(03:04): And what that does in CYC is gives you those five pillars of your brand, the title, tagline, description, pillars, and avatar.
(03:15): Then you move into the podcasting and you can plug in those five pieces into PPU and that gives you literally plan, launch, start, edit, record, promote, monetize step by step.
(03:32): So other than that, tell me specifically what questions you have about that process. Where are you in the process? Do you know what you do? Tell me your title, tagline, all that stuff.
(03:48): So, I definitely am very comfortable with my avatar and knowing exactly what I’m doing and my offer and all of that.
(03:59): So what do you do? Tell me what you do.
(04:01): Yes. So I work with Christian women coaches and help them scale their businesses through courses and programs. So, I help them with the technology aspect of their programs.
(04:17): So just basically helping them get all their content up and on the course host student platform that they choose. And then I also have added in a little bit of accountability piece in there too.
So just being able to walk with them through the process of creating their content.
(04:35): And I know there’s a big need for that cuz all the time I’m asked Stef, who do you know that help helps me put all this stuff into like the actual tech backend?
So tell me the tagline then, cuz you said a lot of words around what you do. Tell me what is your tagline?
(04:51): I help Christian women coaches scale their businesses by packaging their expertise into transformational courses and programs.
(04:59): So when we think about a tactical, specific outline, Jyssica, we don’t want people to go, huh? What did you just say you do? And we also don’t want any filler words.
We don’t want any fluffy words like transformational. She’s like, what are you gonna do for me, Jyssica?
(05:17): And I think what I heard you say, which I really love so much is you’re like the tech backend. That is a specific need, but I’m not getting that from the tagline.
So how can we rework this so that it’s super clean? And then what’s the title of your podcast or the title of your brand that you’re thinking of doing?
(05:37): To be honest, I haven’t got there yet.
(05:41): That’s okay. So really when I hear you talk to me right now, what I’m hearing you say is I help Christian women, coaches or Christian female coaches.
Are you helping them create or are you only helping them create and launch, create and upload, build an online? What are you doing in the online course with the coach? Tell me the steps so that we can come up with a word for it.
(06:11): Yeah, I know. It’s hard to kind of come up with those words. So I basically help build, so they give me their content. And then I build the course for them and get everything.
(06:26): You build it and upload it. Do you do any like, hey, you need a workbook for this or are you literally like, give me all the pieces, I’ll go into Teachable or Kajabi or wherever and I’ll just put it in. Are you doing anything other than that piece?
(06:46): Yep. So I’ve just added, this is new, which I’m super excited about.
But I’m also adding, not accountability, but helping them schedule out what they need to do every week so that they kind of have a schedule of this is what I need to focus on this week.
(07:08): And then they give that content to me and then I upload it. So we kind of work together to create this course or program.
That’s what makes me different, I don’t require my clients to have everything done before they work with me. We work together to create the content. They create the content. I upload it and get everything organized.
(07:36): So, I’m gonna give you your title, you are a course project manager. And what you do is you help Christian women coaches plan. It’s plan, not create, you’re not helping her create it. Plan, build and upload an e-course.
(08:00): I help Christian women coaches plan, build and upload an e-course. So if that’s what you do, and that’s an I help statement. S
o we really have to figure out now the title of what the podcast would be to figure out what the TSO is, tactical specific outcome on your art.
(08:19): And then, Jyssica, what those two pieces of information do for you is give you the foundation to create all the podcast content, to figure out what your offers are called, all of those pieces.
Cause you, I’m not saying you’re doing this, I’m saying everybody does this.
(08:34): They’re floating around being like, yeah, I can help you, kind of build your online course and upload it and do the tech and the backend. And then I can also give you a schedule of how to do it.
And they’re like, what did you just say?
(08:47): And then we get no clients. So what we need to do is have a podcast that’s super specific like from coaching to course creator. You’re saying, coach, you can have a course.
And the coach is like, excuse me, Jyssica. I don’t know how to plan to create my course. I don’t know what steps are included.
(09:13): And I don’t know how to upload it. I’m horrible at tech. Can you just do it for me?
So you have to think about what is coming out of your mouth when it comes to messaging so that you can book those and I saw you asked also, how do I book more discovery calls.
(09:30): And I think the way you book more discovery calls is in your messaging, in your soon-to-be podcast around coach firend, hey, you don’t know how to create that online course, do you?
You don’t know how to upload it. Where should you host it?
(09:42): What does the project management timeline look like to go from creating the course content to launching the course? Hi, I’m Jyssica. I’ll do it for you.
So that’s your marketing. So let’s think about what we could call this podcast and then we’ll clean up your tagline. Do you have any ideas?
(10:00): Not at this moment. It’s hard for me to think of this.
(10:04): We could go super sticky and tactical, The Course Creation Show, The Course Creator Show, From Coach to Course Creator. And I know that’s a little long, but it’s like literally everything she’s Googling. And it’s super sticky and tactical.
(10:31): Because if you have something like Women Coaching Podcast, it’s confusing. Are you teaching me coaching? Or doing coaching? Are you helping coaches?
And what your niche is, Jyssica, which don’t be afraid of, it is specifically helping coaches upload their first course.
(10:48): That is a sweet spot micro-niche that people are asking for. So don’t be afraid, oh no, it’s not big enough. That’s the point. You wanna go all the way in super deep and solve one problem.
That’s how you make money. We stop trying to solve a hundred problems and we solve one problem well.
(11:10): Yeah.
(11:10): So do you like any of those that I just spit at you and you may not, and you may have to think about it a little more.
(11:15): Yeah. From coach to course creator, definitely play with it too.
(11:24): The other one that could be fun is the e-course podcast, the online course show. But then in your tagline, you need to be super specific for women, Christian coaches.
Cause we don’t wanna get Bob and, and Joe and Larry and then grandma Susan. They’re like she said she helps you make an e-course. That’s not the point here.
(11:50): The point is I help. I specifically help Christian women coaches create a course. So you’re gonna have to be super niche with that either in the tagline, if you don’t end up doing that, actually you have to put that in the tagline.
Cuz no matter what you pick, you could have the create a course show, online course podcast, from coach to course creator.
(12:08): Any of those, you’re gonna have to go get GoDaddy them and see if they’re available, Jyssica. But then when we think about the tagline, then it becomes plan, build, and upload an e-course for Christian women coaches.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. And we’re done. How amazing was that?
(12:31): Yeah, that’s good. Yes. Definitely. Very exciting.
(12:37): Do you have any final quickie follow-up questions or do you feel pretty clear?
(12:41): No, I definitely feel more clear now than when I entered it.
(12:47): And then I know you also asked last question was how do I book more discovery calls? You use that messaging I gave you today. Are you a Christian woman coach who has a course in her mind or heart, but you don’t know how to execute on it?

That’s the words coming out of your mouth and out of your keyboard in groups that let you promote or asking people if you can put that in their Facebook groups. That’s where I would start.

The more I get to know my students and the more I participate in masterminds with my peers the more I’m starting to comprehend the overarching problem and prevalence of one, perfectionism, and two, overthinking.
