Hey friends. Welcome to today’s episode of the Mompreneur Mastermind Show. Drum roll, please. We are talking about micro niche, micro niche. Okay. What does that mean? Stef? The micro niche means you are just deep with who your avatar is. You know who they are, you know exactly what they need and you’re giving and granting yourself permission to go there, to stop pleasing and serving everyone. And to start showing up for one micro demographic, right?
One micro market. Why would we want to do this friends? We want to do this because you have two choices in the online sphere. Choice number one, you can be a small fish in a very, very big pond or number two, you can be a big fish. You can be a whale in a very small pond. Which one is going to help you become more successful, faster. Number two.
That’s why in today’s episode with my friend, Alisha Carlson and we’re jamming on how to get down to that micro niche and three things to focus on during a rebrand so that you can then go ahead and open those communication gates into, Hey friends. Guess what? I’m micro nicheing. So let’s do this!
Before we talk all about micro niche and rebranding, I want to remind you guys that July 30th is world day against trafficking and you guys, we’ve got to rise up for the kiddos. There is an epidemic going on, not just in our world, but even in the United States where there are way, way too many cases of victims of trafficking.
In the past six years, the Operation Underground Railroad organization has actually rescued 3,800 victims and assisted in the arrest of more than 2100 traffickers around the world. They are also partnered up to help rescue the lives of more than 10,000 survivors who were enslaved or exploited or at risk. So if y’all want to help bring some awareness to this cause head to ourrescue.org. Listen, what can you do? You can just share, okay, you can just share about this. You don’t have to donate.
You don’t have to do anything, but if you just share about world trafficking day and bring awareness, that’s a great place for you to start. I’m so excited for more awareness to be brought to this cause you guys, because if we aren’t going to speak out for God’s children, who will. I know that if we all band together and start to spread and share this awareness, we can make an impact.
Let’s start the clock girl. And then you can shoot me question number one. Question number one, I gotta find my question. So I would really love to just gain some clarity on like a description or a one liner just based on kind of what, you know, in terms of non diet lifestyle. Sure. And your overarching brand is the Stronger but Her Way podcast, right? Yes. Okay.
Something I wrote down as you were speaking to me, but this would really challenge you to step into this calling that you’re feeling to infuse faith into this brand, Alisha was faith-fueled food freedom just came through. Don’t know I’ve got lots of F’s, which I love. Right? So if something like that, it could be something as simple as that.
What is your one liner today? Oh my gosh. Well, it’s something that you helped with which is I help mompreneurs feel more confident in their bodies so that they can build their lives and their business with efficiency and energy. Don’t love that because really what is the end result? Yeah, sure. We want to be more efficient and effective. Okay, great. But why are we held in bondage?
We are held in bondage because society is telling us there’s one way to lose weight. We all have to look like this person on Instagram. We’re beating ourselves up. We’re on and off the diet roller coaster. What is Alisha doing? Alisha has the key to unlocking the bondage of diet culture, of you’re a prisoner, to thinking that you have to look a certain way, eat certain things.
So I keep coming back to this idea of food freedom. I really love the idea of doing faith-fueled food freedom as a tagline because Alisha really what you’re saying is you guys are you’re being delivered. You are going to be delivered and you’ve been delivered. It’s not by accident that you’re feeling a tug to infuse faith into this brand.
That’s kind of where I’m at. I keep circling back to the scripture of like being conformed by the world systems and world’s ways, which to me is diet culture. But really like what God is wanting to do is to bring a transformation that comes from the inside out. And ultimately the end goal is so that you can step fully into your power, like your God, given whatever he’s put on your heart.
I think that when we’re stuck in that diet and mindset, we just can’t do that. So you could add to it, faith-fueled food freedom and life transformation, if you want. That way, you have a little more wiggle room to get away from just food and wellness, if you want and go a little bit more into mindset as well.
Yeah. Cause I do, I really geek out on like mindset, obviously like fitness is a huge part of it. So I do want to be able to include the food stuff, but as well as fitness and then what’s the mental transformation that has to happen.
Yeah. And so when we have mindset transformation and physical transformation equals life transformation, right. So kind of where I’m at is the faith-fueled food freedom and life transformation. Or, and you can say for mompreneurs, if you want or for moms, busy moms.
Okay. I do feel kind of called to somewhere with the entrepreneur because I feel like that is a special, like ambitious purpose-driven woman. And so it’s like, she knows that she has a purpose. Yeah. She just needs to get rid of all this stuff that’s kind of hanging around her neck and sort of slowing her down from really stepping in and owning that purpose and owning that calling.
Our final tagline and then next question, faith-fueled food freedom and life transformation for mompreneurs.
I like that. Great. Okay. Thank you. The next question is, so I guess, looking at that, getting more SEO on my eyeballs, especially like Pinterest podcasting. So I guess that’s kind of as the next question, what kind of keywords should I be searching for?
So when we think about this, the solutions that Alisha provides, we really want to go and flip it and go sit in our avatar’s shoes and say, what is she Googling? And so what do I think she’s Googling if I was this person and I have been this person in so many phases of my life, right? So I would probably be Googling like meal prepping.
I would be Googling what is intuitive eating, how to work out from home cause she’s a mompreneur she’s busy. Fast workouts from home, how to have a lifestyle diet because she’s sick of dieting or she’s not even going to listen. She’s sick of it. She’s sick of all of that. She might even be looking for food freedom. She could be Googling that like diet freedom, she’s Googling how to lose weight, how to get healthier, faster, how to integrate a fast workout.
So those are the little phrases, Alisha that we want to infuse in your titles. Okay. And into your website copy. There’s like five. So I list them all out. And then I pick five that I think are the heaviest hitters that my people are searching for. Like how to start a podcast. I mean, it’s very obvious. So for you, it’s probably how to lose weight, how to get fit from home, how to work out from home, how to meal prep.
So those are topics that you want to make sure you have podcasts about. And then you’re kind of using those five terms as often as you can find a way to squeeze it in. Okay. And I think with every time I can kind of tweak it a little bit or maybe it reveal like another strategy or tip along the same line of that overarching topic. Exactly.
The other one you could think about as well, Alisha is who we want to target. So when we did those keywords, we were thinking about what she’s thinking about. We can also target who she is. So you can also target like busy mompreneur. I don’t really know a woman on the planet that’s not like I’m going to lose the last 5 pounds.
So I still think it’s relevant. You can also be looking for Christian stay at home mom, right. Christian work from home mom. Those are also search terms that you can use. Okay. And I think too, it’s good because I feel like some of the stuff that you’re saying was kind of already where my mind was going. And I do think that you have really encouraged me to micro niche down, which was something that I kind of danced around and was afraid to do.
But after just saying like, okay, this is the way I’m going to go for now. You can always change it or you can expand later on. It has given me so much confidence and clarity to know what I’m searching for. So I appreciate that. And then I think that the last thing, if we have time for is kind of the top three things to focus on in the beginning of a rebrand.
I think still because I’m kind of like niching down and rebranding a little bit, I really want to differentiate myself from other non-diet or anti-diet people. But also like I do firmly believe that like, yeah, you should move your body. You should focus on having some healthy habits around food and things like that. I was like, I don’t want my voice to be diet culture either. Okay.
So that’s where I think, okay. Number one, you said top three things. Number one thing is really open communication. You want to openly communicate what you’re doing differently. So you’re showing up on the podcast Alisha and you’re going, Hey everybody, listen. I’ve had this deep calling to kind of infuse faith a little bit more into this podcast because I honestly think that we’re kind of being held prisoner by this culture.
I also really feel that there’s a specific woman that I’m being called to help. And I just want to let you guys know, you’re going to hear a bit more about how faith is impacting your food freedom and how you can be free and have this life transformation. So it’s that open communication so that people aren’t blindsided. Then the other thing is we’re still on step one is talking up why you are different and what you’re teaching them that other people aren’t teaching.
Example, when I say guys, I have a Pinterest course, I’m not going me and a bagillion other people have a Pinterest course. I’m saying, take mine if you want the simplest most dumbed down way to do Pinterest and 30 minutes a week. I’m not an expert. This is not advanced.
So don’t buy my course if you’re looking to become a Pinterest genius. So what you might say is, look, you can find non-diet coaches and books and everything. It’s all over the place, but what you will not is a faith-fueled food freedom framework (there’s your next course), faith-fueled food freedom framework to give you life transformation that’s targeted to the busy mompreneur.
You won’t find that anywhere else. So now you have a micro niche and you just got to highlight it over and over. This is why you’re here. This is why you’re here. So that’s number one, open communication. Okay. Number two in a rebrand is speak to one person like get your avatar, Alisha, mapped out. And then you speak to her and don’t look up, don’t get shiny object and be like, Oh crap, I should talk to this person too.
Cause what if Bob just emailed me and he’s following me. And I feel weird. Like even though I have men in my audience and I coach men even, I’m still talking to Lola and I haven’t looked up from Lola in a year and a half and it exploded my brand. So, you know she’s a Christian. So you just go there or, you know, she’s faith fueled.
You know that she’s a mompreneur so you get to say, Hey, I know you got kiddos. I know you’re trying to run this business at the same time as find this fitness transformation. It’s hard because you can get deeper into her brain. You can hit her right, and trigger her more often. So that’s number two is get your Lola so clear and then speak to only her on your show.
Then the third thing, when you’re going through a rebrand, I think that’s most important is double down when you find something that’s working. So what I mean is once I saw that podcasting, Alisha was what was driving everybody. I started paying attention to which episodes, what analytics and I, Oh, it’s the coaching doubled down on coaching immediately.
Oh, it’s the podcast bonus episodes. Right? And then I saw, Oh, it’s Pinterest as well. Got it. Outsourcing that. We’re doubling down on Pinterest and what wasn’t working. I let go. I’m like Instagram is giving me a headache. It’s not growing my brand or business. I blessed it and released it.
If I get someone from Instagram, whatever, but I am not focusing there. So it’s let go of what everyone’s telling you you have to do. Stop following all the fancy coaches, go with your gut and pay attention to your avatar. Where she clicking? What is she asking for? And you are doing such a beautiful job of networking with people, Alisha and growing authentic relationships.
Don’t be afraid to ask all these beautiful friends that you’re collecting when it comes to food freedom or your weight or your life as a busy mompreneur, where are you struggling with healthy habits, behaviors, mindsets. What’s the number one thing keeping you from success?
Ask everyone that question. And when you are starting to hear an answer come through over and over again, you double down podcast episodes about it, Pinterest about it, do 15-minute coaching episodes about it because that’s what they want from you.
And then don’t look up cause everyone will tell you all the distracting things of what you should do. And that’s not where we go. We go audience, what does my audience screaming for? Okay. Yeah. That’s really good. It’s actually funny. There’s one gal that I’ve met in your group and we’ve been kind of chatting back and forth through the DMs.
She watched a video that I did. And she was like, oh my gosh, I shared that to my group. And then she started like giving me suggestions for like do this for a topic or what about this? So I think you’re right with that. Yes. And it’s so funny cause we have this reverse idea that we should listen to the coaches and the big fancy podcasters and the only reason I’ve had any success is I stopped listening to all of them and started listening to all of you.
